<div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>Hennessey Venom GT - Click above for image gallery</small></strong></em></div>
<br />
Hennessey Performance is on a roll. First we got a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/24/video-onstar-calls-hennessey-after-tuned-cts-v-pulls-99-g/">Cadillac CTS-V that accelerates so violently it sets off its OnStar system</a>. Then we get a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/04/hennessey-hpe700-camaro-sema-2009/">Chevrolet Corvette ZR1-powered pony car</a> that handily won our Best Camaro of SEMA. Now this: The first shots of the Hennessey Venom GT, a lightweight, LS9-powered ICBM aimed directly at the world's hypercar elite.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/19/hennessey-releases-details-on-venom-gt/">Originally teased way back in November of 2007</a>, the House That Hennessey Built has been working overtime to create this Lotus Elise-based, mid-engine masterpiece for the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/geneva-motor-show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> this March, and judging by these first shots from the shop, things are looking downright diabolical.<br />
<br />
According to Hennessey, the final weight - with fuel, but no driver - should come in under 2,400 pounds, and with the "mildly tweaked" LS9 putting out between 650 and 700 horsepower, that puts the Venom in contention with the Bugatti Veyron for power-to-weight bragging rights. But naturally, Hennessey isn't stopping there. After the bugs are worked out, the supercharger will be dispatched in favor of a duo of turbos, netting output somewhere north of 1,000 hp. 0-60 times? Less than 2.5 seconds. Top speed? An estimated 262 mph.<br />
<br />
Putting that grunt to the ground is a Ricardo six-speed manual gearbox - the same transmission the tuning firm used on its 1,000+ hp twin-turbocharged Ford GTs - with carbon fiber Dymag wheels fitted at all four corners, each shod in Michelin PS2 tires. Fifteen-inch carbon ceramic discs with eight piston Brembo calipers are mounted up front, while 14-inch rotors with six piston calipers reside in the rear, and <strike>although we haven't gotten confirmation, the shot above suggests the driver sits front and center.</strike> Nope, the Venom will be available in traditional left- or right-hand drive, according to Hennessey.<br />
<br />
That's all for now, but look for more details to be released in the coming weeks and get an exclusive eyeful in the gallery below.<br />

<strong><em><small> Alfa Romeo Giulietta - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></em></strong></div>
<br /> It's been a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/02/spy-shots-alfa-romeo-milano-stopped-by-police-by-the-nurburgrin/">long time</a> in the making. It has <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/29/report-alfa-romeo-nixes-milano-designation-for-147-successor/">changed names</a> several times along the way. But it's finally here. Well, almost. It's the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, and it's coming to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> this March to coincide with its phased market launch across Europe next year to coincide with the marque's centenary.<br /> <br /> Positioned just above the MiTo in Alfa's lineup (and, tellingly, below the anticipated upcoming 159-succeeding Giulia), the Giulietta replaces the 147 as Italy's answer to the Volkswagen Golf. Since Alfa's parent company Fiat already targets the Golf with its own Bravo, though, some might consider this more of an aggressively-priced competitor to the Audi A3. The hatchback takes its styling cues from <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/09/alfa-romeo-8c-competizione-quick-spin/">the sumptuous 8C Competizione</a>, but carries it off in a decidedly more aggressive way than implemented on the MiTo. Plenty of glass also make the cabin more airy, with a body-colored panel running across the dashboard.<br /> <br /> A range of transverse four-cylinder engines - both gasoline and diesel - will be on offer, producing between 120 and 170 horsepower until a 230 hp <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/09/alfa-romeo-presents-mito-quadrifoglio-verde-with-new-multiair-en/">Quadrifoglio Verde</a> model comes along. They've all got start-stop engine management and Alfa's DNA adjustable suspension system as standard equipment. Fiat's cutting-edge MultiAir valve-actuation system will eventually find its way into all of the engines, while the selection of five- and six-speed manual gearboxes is set to be joined by a new dual-clutch transmission as well.<br /> <br /> The new Giulietta marks a pivotal product launch for Alfa Romeo, as the company is hoping to make this its volume offering the most prolific model in its history - with production targeted for an ambitious 100,000 units annually. Check out the trifecta of images in the gallery below and the press release after the jump for full details.<br /> <br /> <br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alfa-romeo-giulietta-2/low/">Alfa Romeo Giulietta</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alfa-romeo-giulietta-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/12/091202_ar_giulietta01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alfa-romeo-giulietta-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/12/091202_ar_giulietta02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alfa-romeo-giulietta-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/12/091202_ar_giulietta03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /> [Source: Alfa Romeo]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/12/02/alfa-romeo-previews-stylish-new-giulietta/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Alfa Romeo previews stylish new Giulietta</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/12/02/alfa-romeo-previews-stylish-new-giulietta/">Alfa Romeo previews stylish new Giulietta</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 02 Dec 2009 10:00:00 EST. <br /> Well, is it? Hard to say. We do know that both a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/21/reader-spy-next-gen-audi-a6-caught-in-so-cal-or-is-it-an-a8/">new Audi A8 and A6</a> are headed our way sooner rather than later. Sooner, as in the South Florida International Auto Show for one of the new Audis, and/or <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/Geneva/">Geneva</a> for the other. We're pretty sure that the car captured in the video you'll soon be watching <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/10/video-are-you-the-2011-audi-a8-or-are-you-the-2011-audi-a6/">after the jump</a> is the same sedan wearing the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/21/reader-spy-next-gen-audi-a6-caught-in-so-cal-or-is-it-an-a8/">BMW-style psychotropic body wrap</a> in our earlier post. Only now, watching the car in motion and especially seeing it next to other vehicles, we're just not sure the Audi in question is large enough to be an A8.<br /> <br /> Which means we might just be looking at the 2011 Audi A6. And we have to say, it almost looks too small to be an A6. Watch as the test mule passes various hatches and economy cars and seems to be about the same height, if not over all size. Maybe the mule's black paint is playing tricks on us. Or maybe - just maybe - the new A6 is going to be smaller than the current car. Time will tell. <em>Thanks for the tips, everyone!<br /></em><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZnPKiA_6tA">YouTube</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/11/video-are-you-the-2011-audi-a8-or-are-you-the-2011-audi-a6/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: Are you the 2011 Audi A8? That would mean at least 550 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque, which should allow the SSUV to hit 60 mph in around five seconds and max out around 174 mph. If all goes according to plan, we'll see the production version in Geneva this March with sales beginning later in 2010.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/pre-production-spyker-d12-peking-to-paris/low/">Pre-Production Spyker D12 Peking-to-Paris</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/pre-production-spyker-d12-peking-to-paris/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/03/spyker-d12-ssuv_16_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/pre-production-spyker-d12-peking-to-paris/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/03/spyker-d12-ssuv_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/pre-production-spyker-d12-peking-to-paris/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/03/spyker-d12-ssuv_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/pre-production-spyker-d12-peking-to-paris/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/03/spyker-d12-ssuv_06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/pre-production-spyker-d12-peking-to-paris/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/03/spyker-d12-ssuv_07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.autoblog.nl/archive/2009/07/24/primeur-spyker-d8-krijgt-supercharged-v8-uit-cadillac-cts-v?noidm">Autoblog.nl</a> via <a href="http://www.gtspirit.com/2009/07/24/spyker-d8-ssuv-gets-supercharged-v8-from-cadillac-cts-v/">GTSpirit</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/24/report-spyker-d12-ssuv-to-get-cadillac-cts-vs-supercharged-v8/">REPORT: Spyker D12 SSUV to get Cadillac CTS-V supercharged V8?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 24 Jul 2009 19:58:00 EST. <div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>Rolls-Royce 200EX Geneva debut - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Historically, Rolls-Royce has somewhat smugly declined to quote horsepower numbers, utilizing amusingly evasive language like "entirely sufficient" to describe its engines' power outputs. Perhaps a sign of the times, Rolls is now being a bit more forthcoming about details for its upcoming "baby" RR4 model, including approximate horsepower numbers.<br /><br />The company has disclosed that the RR4 will be powered by a new, 6.6-liter turbocharged V12 engine that gives "upwards of 500bhp." Further, it will route that prodigious output through a ZF transmission with no less than eight forward ratios. Despite its ability to generate big power figures, Rolls says that one important drivetrain figure will be smaller than any other Rolls on the market: C02 output.<br /><br />The news came from CEO Tom Purves himself at a New York press event for the 200EX, where the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/03/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-proves-that-downsizing-is-relativ/">Geneva concept car</a> is making its first stop on a world tour designed to get prospective clients in the car and booking orders for the production RR4 version. <br /><br />The BMW-owned British automaker has long been famous for its peerless interiors and isolated ride, but Purves promises that the RR4 will bring with it a new emphasis on driving entertainment: "... we have consciously engineered this car to be more involving and dynamic for those owners around the world that will wish to drive it themselves."<br /><br />While we don't expect Porsche Cayman-baiting dynamics, we look forward to seeing what the company views as more involved driving dynamics when the car starts rolling out the front doors of its Goodwood production facility. Official press release after the jump.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/">Geneva 2009: Rolls-Royce 200EX concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Rolls-Royce]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/23/confirmed-rolls-royce-rr4-getting-500-hp-turbo-v12-8-speed-gea/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>CONFIRMED: Rolls-Royce RR4 getting 500+HP turbo V12, 8-speed gearbox</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/23/confirmed-rolls-royce-rr4-getting-500-hp-turbo-v12-8-speed-gea/">CONFIRMED: Rolls-Royce RR4 getting 500+HP turbo V12, 8-speed gearbox</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 23 Mar 2009 13:30:00 EST. <br />It's been a while since we heard anything about the long-time-coming <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/05/first-lagonda-to-be-based-on-s-class/">partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin</a>. But while we got a good look at <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/06/aston-martin-one-77-uncovered-in-depth-on-whats-under-the-skin/">what's inside Aston's new One-77</a> supercar, reports indicate that if we'd taken a peek <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-aston-martin-revives-lagonda-to-questionable-affect/">under the Lagonda concept's skirt</a> we would have seen the familiar parts of the Mercedes GL-Class sport-ute.<br /><br />According to Aston CEO Ulrich Bez, the company tested a wide variety of luxury SUVs and found the Mercedes the most suitable. Only the wheelbase and A-pillar positioning are said to have carried over, with everything else having changed. The engine, however, is Aston's own. If they decide to build the Lagonda - a decision on which the mixed reaction in Geneva will undoubtedly be a factor - it could be ready in three to five years, but production would likely take place at Aston's own facilities in the UK rather than Mercedes' plant in Alabama.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/lagonda-concept/low/">Lagonda Concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/lagonda-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01_lagonda_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/lagonda-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02_lagonda_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/lagonda-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03_lagonda_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-lagonda-concept/low/">Geneva 2009: Aston Martin Lagonda Concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-lagonda-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-lagonda-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-lagonda-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-lagonda-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-lagonda-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-lagonda-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-lagonda-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-lagonda-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-lagonda-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-lagonda-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.autonews.com/article/20090304/ANE02/903049979/1186">Automotive News Europe</a> - sub. req'd]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/09/crossover-redefined-lagonda-concept-based-on-mercedes-gl/">Crossover Redefined: Lagonda concept based on Mercedes GL</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 09 Mar 2009 15:56:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Aston Martin One-77 internals - Click above for high-res gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />At the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> this week, Aston Martin publicly showed its limited-edition <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/03/geneva-2009-aston-martin-one-77-almost-fully-revealed/">One-77</a> super-car for the first time. While the design is certainly attention grabbing, the machinery sitting next to it was perhaps even more so. On the first of two press days, the Aston stand was dominated by the first complete One-77 chassis laid bare for all the world to see. Resplendent in carbon-fiber and cast, forged and extruded aluminum, the skinless One-77 is an engineer's dream. <br /><br />Chris Porritt, Chief Program Manager for the One-77, took a few minutes to give us a guided tour of this remarkable example of engineering art. The mechanical bits of the One-77 are built more like the guts of an Le Mans Prototype racer than any typical production car. Of course, calling this a production car is a stretch anyway given that only 77 examples will be produced. Major automakers typically produce more prototypes than that for a new vehicle program. Follow the jump for a walk through of the One-77. <br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-one-77-in-depth/low/">Geneva 2009: Aston Martin One-77 in depth</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-one-77-in-depth/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/aston-one-77-deep-1280-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-one-77-in-depth/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/aston-one-77-deep-1280-02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-one-77-in-depth/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/aston-one-77-deep-1280-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-one-77-in-depth/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/aston-one-77-deep-1280-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-one-77-in-depth/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/aston-one-77-deep-1280-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Sam Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/06/aston-martin-one-77-uncovered-in-depth-on-whats-under-the-skin/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Aston Martin One-77 Uncovered: In-depth on what's under the skin</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/06/aston-martin-one-77-uncovered-in-depth-on-whats-under-the-skin/">Aston Martin One-77 Uncovered: In-depth on what's under the skin</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 06 Mar 2009 11:58:00 EST. <br />Toyota officially unveiled the latest version of its slick looking, Euro-centric people mover at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> this week. Called the Verso (not to be confused with the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/Nissan+Versa/">Nissan Versa</a>), the three-row, five-door hatchback wears handsome sheetmetal with lines that are definitely "in family" for Toyota. For as much as we like the outside, the instrument panel has Scion disease. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-toyota-verso/1407163/">Center gauges</a>. Please stop it. That third row also has severely limited legroom, but it's still a neat trick to fit so many perches within a Corrola-sized footprint, even if some are occasional-use grade. The Verso will likely delight for bopping across the moorland, but you might need to have your legs removed so you'll fit in back. <br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-toyota-verso/low/">Geneva 2009: Toyota Verso</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-toyota-verso/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gen-09-venzo-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-toyota-verso/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gen-09-venzo-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-toyota-verso/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gen-09-venzo-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-toyota-verso/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gen-09-venzo-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-toyota-verso/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-gen-09-venzo-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-toyota-verso/">Geneva 2009: Toyota Verso crams three rows into Corolla-sized package</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 18:59:00 EST. <br />Europeans are about to get one more soft-roading cute 'ute to add to their shopping lists now that <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/skoda/">Skoda</a>, Volkswagen's Czech subsidiary, has released the production version of the Yeti at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/GenevaMotorShow/">Geneva Motor Show</a>. First shown in <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/12/geneva-preview-skoda-to-unveil-production-yeti/">concept form</a> back at the 2005 show in Geneva, the production Yeti keeps the same basic design as its conceptual forebear, but we think it loses some of what made it so interesting in the first place. <br /><br />Gone is the contrasting white roof that was obviously cribbed from Toyota's FJ Cruiser but looked perfect in this application. So too gone are the flanks, now smoothed out and looking very first-gen Honda CR-V-ish and missing the hidden rear door handles from the concept. See for yourself, we've included a gallery of the concept along with live shots of the production Yeti below.<br /><br />Inside, the Yeti features the same innovative seating arrangement as the Roomster, featuring three separate rear buckets that can individually slide fore and aft or be removed completely. Gas and diesel-powered engines ranging from 1.2 liters to 2.0 liters will be offered with up to 170 horsepower along with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. Expect sales in Europe to begin later this year.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-skoda-yeti/low/">Geneva 2009: Skoda Yeti</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-skoda-yeti/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gen-09-yeti-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-skoda-yeti/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gen-09-yeti-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-skoda-yeti/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gen-09-yeti-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-skoda-yeti/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gen-09-yeti-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-skoda-yeti/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-gen-09-yeti-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/skoda-yeti-concept-1/low/">Skoda Yeti concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/skoda-yeti-concept-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/mediumsize-rgb_y_0001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/skoda-yeti-concept-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/mediumsize-rgb_y_0002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/skoda-yeti-concept-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/mediumsize-rgb_y_0003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/skoda-yeti-concept-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/mediumsize-rgb_y_0011_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/skoda-yeti-concept-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/mediumsize-rgb_y_0012_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-skoda-descends-on-switzerland-with-a-yeti/">Geneva 2009: Skoda descends on Switzerland with a Yeti</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 17:28:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for a high-res gallery of the Wiesmann MF4 Roadster</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Since its inception back in 1985, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/Wiesmann">Wiesmann</a> has been busy building beautiful retro-themed coupes and convertibles, and to celebrate its 20th anniversary (of what, exactly, we're not sure) the automaker has just released its MF4 Roadster at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/GenevaMotorShow/">Geneva Motor Show</a>. We love the old-school looks, especially the soft top that collapses on the rear parcel shelf as it does on classic British and German roadsters. The running gear, though, is thoroughly modern and highlighted by a modified version of the BMW M3's 4.0-liter V8, in this case tuned to put out 367 horsepower. <br /><br />If you want one, you'd better act fast. Wiesmann only plans to assemble between 250 and 350 units this year, and they are only available in Europe for now. <br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-weismann-roadster-mf4/low/">Geneva 2009: Wiesmann Roadster MF4</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-weismann-roadster-mf4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gen-09-wiesmann-roadster-mf4-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-weismann-roadster-mf4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gen-09-wiesmann-roadster-mf4-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-weismann-roadster-mf4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gen-09-wiesmann-roadster-mf4-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-weismann-roadster-mf4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gen-09-wiesmann-roadster-mf4-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-weismann-roadster-mf4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-gen-09-wiesmann-roadster-mf4-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/wiesmann-roadster-mf4/low/">Wiesmann Roadster MF4</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/wiesmann-roadster-mf4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-w-mann-gt4-roadster_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/wiesmann-roadster-mf4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-w-mann-gt4-roadster_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/wiesmann-roadster-mf4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-w-mann-gt4-roadster_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/wiesmann-roadster-mf4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-w-mann-gt4-roadster_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/wiesmann-roadster-mf4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-w-mann-gt4-roadster_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-wiesmann-roadster-mf4-is-so-black-it-casts-no-shado/">Geneva 2009: Wiesmann Roadster MF4 is so black it casts no shadow</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 14:57:00 EST. <br />Late last month we <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/20/ktm-bringing-two-world-premiers-to-geneva/">learned</a> that KTM was planning to bring two new versions of its X-Bow roadster to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/GenevaMotorShow/">Geneva Motor Show</a>. One of those machines is the new X-Bow ROC edition, and our men on the scene managed to assemble a gallery of live shots of the new model that you can view in the gallery below. This new ROC edition was built to commemorate the Austrian firm's inclusion in last year's 2008 <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/15/spoiler-roc-crowns-new-champion-among-motorsports-best/">Race of Champions</a>, so it fittingly features a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque shell and adds a sports exhaust to Audi's 2.0-liter turbocharged, direct-injection four-cylinder mill that's shared with other models in the range. Unique paint and badges also help set it apart from lesser X-Bows.<br /><br />Despite the fact this new model shares plenty of special bits with the top-level Superlight X-Bow, KTM was able to price the limited edition ROC model rather aggressively with a base MSRP of 69,980 euros - a full 10,000 less than its pricier sibling. Also new is the X-Bow Street, which retails for an even more wallet-friendly 49,980 euros. Read the full press release from KTM after the break.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ktm-x-bow-roc/low/">Geneva 2009: KTM X-Bow ROC</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ktm-x-bow-roc/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gev-09-ktm-roc_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ktm-x-bow-roc/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gev-09-ktm-roc_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ktm-x-bow-roc/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gev-09-ktm-roc_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ktm-x-bow-roc/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gev-09-ktm-roc_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ktm-x-bow-roc/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-gev-09-ktm-roc_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: KTM]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-ktm-x-bow-roc/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva 2009: KTM X-Bow ROC unveiled for those who like to race champions</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-ktm-x-bow-roc/">Geneva 2009: KTM X-Bow ROC unveiled for those who like to race champions</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 13:57:00 EST. <br />The curiously shaped <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-aston-martin-revives-lagonda-to-questionable-affect/">Lagonda revival</a>, absurdly potent <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/03/geneva-preview-one-77-is-aston-martins-700-hp-tour-de-force/">One-77 supercar</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-aston-martin-v12-vantage/">V12-powered Vantage</a> were not the only new vehicles that Aston Martin brought to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/geneva-motor-show/">Geneva Motor Show</a>. Last but certainly not least is the DBS Volante, which is Aston-speak for a droptop version of James Bond's favorite ride. Powered by a 6.0-liter V12 that's shared with the standard DBS, the new Volante delivers 510 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque to its 6-speed rear-mounted gearbox, available in either standard manual shift or in sequential Touchtronic forms. It's a stunning package to be sure, and with a 0 to 60 run of just 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 191 miles per hour, it's got plenty of toupee-lifting performance to match. See our gallery of live shots below and the official press release after the break.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/">Geneva 2009: Aston Martin DBS Volante</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gen-09-dbs-road-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gen-09-dbs-road-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gen-09-dbs-road-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gen-09-dbs-road-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-gen-09-dbs-road-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/">Aston Martin DBS Volante</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/01_dbsvolante_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/02_dbsvolante_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/03_dbsvolante_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/04_dbsvolante_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-dbs-volante/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/05_dbsvolante_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-aston-martin-dbs-volante/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva 2009: Aston Martin DBS Volante drops its top</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-aston-martin-dbs-volante/">Geneva 2009: Aston Martin DBS Volante drops its top</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 12:58:00 EST. <br />BMW tuner par excellence Alpina is returning to the motor racing scene for the first time in two decades with the new B6 GT3, which the pseudo-works firm unveiled for the first time here at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a>. Based on the 6 Series, the B6 GT3 features a unique radial supercharger fitted to its 4.4-liter V8 to drive 530 horsepower to the rear wheels - in proper Bavarian style - in what looks to be a compelling competition package. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-bmw-alpina-b6-gt3/1406592/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" align="right" alt="" class="right border" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gen-09-alpina-b6-live_opt.jpg" /></a>Alpina itself will be fielding a pair in the European FIA GT3 series and at "selected 24-hour endurance races" (Nurburgring, Le Mans... we're looking at you), but the B6 GT3 will also be offered to private teams. Alpina has fitted adjustable everything to the car and a full array of electronic control systems to ensure that gentlemen racers - not just professional drivers - will be able to handle it and so that the car will qualify for a wide array of racing series. We're looking forward to seeing the green menace tackling the Green Hell soon, but in the meantime had to content ourselves with checking it out at Alpina's show stand here in Geneva where it was displayed alongside the new B7 Bi-Turbo, which we'll have for you shortly. In the meantime, click on the thumbnails below to view our gallery from the show floor and follow the jump for a brief press release.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-bmw-alpina-b6-gt3/low/">Geneva 2009: BMW Alpina B6 GT3</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-bmw-alpina-b6-gt3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gen-09-alpina-b6-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-bmw-alpina-b6-gt3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gen-09-alpina-b6-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-bmw-alpina-b6-gt3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gen-09-alpina-b6-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-bmw-alpina-b6-gt3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gen-09-alpina-b6-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-bmw-alpina-b6-gt3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-gen-09-alpina-b6-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alpina-b6-gt3/low/">Alpina B6 GT3</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alpina-b6-gt3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/bmw-alpina-b6-gt3_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alpina-b6-gt3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/bmw-alpina-b6-gt3_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alpina-b6-gt3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/bmw-alpina-b6-gt3_3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alpina-b6-gt3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/04/9080424.009.1l2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/alpina-b6-gt3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/bmw-alpina-b6-gt3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br /> <em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Noah Joseph / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-bmw-alpina-b6-gt3-puts-the-ring-on-notice/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva 2009: BMW Alpina B6 GT3 puts the 'Ring on notice</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-bmw-alpina-b6-gt3-puts-the-ring-on-notice/">Geneva 2009: BMW Alpina B6 GT3 puts the 'Ring on notice</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 10:27:00 EST. <br />Nothing says "happy birthday" like 700 horsepower and nearly 1000 lb-ft of torque. That's what Brabus figures, at least, and we're with them. To mark the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/20/mercedes-benz-gelandewagen-celebrating-30-years/">30th anniversary</a> of the indomitable Mercedes-Benz Gel&auml;ndewagen, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/19/aint-nothin-but-a-g-thang-brabus-to-show-twin-turbo-v12-gelan/">Brabus presented the G V12 S Biturbo</a> here at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a>, and it could hardly be missed in the middle of the Palexpo show floor. The tuned twin-turbo 6.3-liter V12 sits in a tricked out G-Wagen decked out in black with LED headlamps, custom bodywork, black leather everything, a 163-mph top end and a physics-defying 4.3-second spring to 60 mph. At nearly half a million on the sticker, you're not likely to see one parked at the local mini mall - unless you live in car-bonkers Abu Dhabi where a supposedly <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/28/mclaren-powered-mercedes-g-wagon-spotted-guess-where/">McLaren-powered G-Wagen</a> was spotted last year - so better check it out in the galleries below.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/">Geneva 2009: Brabus G V12 S Biturbo</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gen-09-brabus-v12-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gen-09-brabus-v12-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gen-09-brabus-v12-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gen-09-brabus-v12-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-gen-09-brabus-v12-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/">BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/ab-01-brabus-g-v12_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/ab-02-brabus-g-v12_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/ab-05-brabus-g-v12_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/ab-06-brabus-g-v12_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/ab-07-brabus-g-v12_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br /> <em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Noah Joseph / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo-is-our-kind-of-birthday-cake/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva 2009: Brabus G V12 S Biturbo is our kind of birthday cake</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-brabus-g-v12-s-biturbo-is-our-kind-of-birthday-cake/">Geneva 2009: Brabus G V12 S Biturbo is our kind of birthday cake</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 09:29:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for high-res gallery of the Citroen DS3 concept</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />A few weeks back, Citroen announced that it would bring the DS appellation to a line of premium models based on several of its existing cars. The first example will evidently be the DS3 coming next year. In spite of bringing the car to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> in concept form this week, Citroen is apparently not too keen on people actually seeing the car itself. A styling buck of the DS3 is tucked away in a tiny dark alcove off the back of the main Citroen display at the PalExpo. Once you step inside there is a narrow walkway around the car and the lighting is mostly dim with occasional flashes. <br /><br />It's truly a shame because the DS3 is actually a pretty decent looking three-door hatchback with some interesting styling elements, aside from the hot pink roof over the gray body. Aside from the dual chevrons, though, there is nothing about this car that is reminiscent of an original DS. Hopefully next time Citroen will exhibit some confidence and show this car out in the open. <br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-citroen-ds-inside-concept/low/">Geneva 2009: Citroen DS Inside Concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-citroen-ds-inside-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gen-09-citroen-ds-inside-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-citroen-ds-inside-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gen-09-citroen-ds-inside-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-citroen-ds-inside-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gen-09-citroen-ds-inside-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-citroen-ds-inside-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gen-09-citroen-ds-inside-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-citroen-ds-inside-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-gen-09-citroen-ds-inside-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Sam Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-citroen-ds3-concept-hiding-in-the-dark/">Geneva 2009: Citroen DS3 concept hiding in the dark</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 08:58:00 EST. <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"><small>Click above for a high-res gallery of the 2010 Lotus Exige S</small></span><br /></div>
<br />Lotus has unleashed a slightly revised <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/10/in-the-autoblog-garage-lotus-exige-s240/">Exige S</a> for the 2010 model year at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/geneva-motor-show/">Geneva Motor Show</a>, and thankfully, it seems the U.K.-based automaker has for the most part chosen not to mess with a good thing. The bulk of the changes are minor updates to the car's outer skin, including a new front fascia with larger openings for the radiator and twin side-mounted oil coolers. Out back, a new composite rear wing reduces drag while still putting down 42 kilograms (93 pounds) of downforce at 160 km/h (about 100 mph). We think the facelift makes the Exige look a bit more masculine and aggressive.<br /><br />Improvements made to reduce weight and aerodynamics also have the desirable effect of increasing overall efficiency. Fuel economy remains stellar for a vehicle of this caliber at 33 mpg on the European Combined Cycle. As Mike Kimberley, Chief Executive of Group Lotus plc, asks, "How many cars have performance figures of 0 - 100 km/h in 4.77 secs but produce only 199 g/km CO2?" Answer: None that we know of.<br /><br />A Touring Pack is still available and includes such accoutrements as leather hides for the seats, console and handbrake lever along with an iPod adapter, carpets, sound deadening material and a cup holder. For more hardcore drivers, Lotus also offers a Sport Pack with Bilstein sports dampers, traction control, an adjustable front anti-roll bar and a cockpit roll bar complete with integrated harness mounts to keep you nice and secure. A Performance Pack increases power to 240 horses and adds such goodies as upsized brakes, variable slip traction control, a higher-spec clutch and launch control.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-lotus-exige-s/low/">2010 Lotus Exige S</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-lotus-exige-s/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/2010_exige_s_large_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-lotus-exige-s/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/2010_exige_s_large_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-lotus-exige-s/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/2010_exige_s_large_3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-lotus-exige-s/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/2010_exige_s_large_4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Lotus]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-lotus-increases-performance-efficiency-of-2010-exi/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva 2009: Lotus increases performance, efficiency of 2010 Exige S</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/05/geneva-2009-lotus-increases-performance-efficiency-of-2010-exi/">Geneva 2009: Lotus increases performance, efficiency of 2010 Exige S</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 05 Mar 2009 08:31:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for high-res gallery of this year's Swiss Misses</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Every year we board our flights to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> after telling our significant others (wives, fiances, imaginary girlfriends) that we're going for the cars. We might even believe it when we say it, too, but then we get here and batting eyes, pouting lips and mile-long legs keep getting in the way of our cameras. We'd ask them to step out of the frame, but, well... that would just be rude and we were raised better than that. (Some of us were, anyway.) So it may not help us on the home front, but here is who we met at this year's show. Bonus: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-swiss-misses-keep-standing-in-front-of-our-cameras/">follow the jump</a> to see who we met at last year's show.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-swiss-misses/low/">Geneva 2009: Swiss Misses</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-swiss-misses/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gen-09-atmosphere_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-swiss-misses/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gen-09-atmosphere_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-swiss-misses/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gen-09-atmosphere_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-swiss-misses/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/08-gen-09-atmosphere_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-swiss-misses/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/07-gen-09-atmosphere_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Noah Joseph / Sam Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-swiss-misses-keep-standing-in-front-of-our-cameras/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva 2009: Swiss Misses keep standing in front of our cameras</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-swiss-misses-keep-standing-in-front-of-our-cameras/">Geneva 2009: Swiss Misses keep standing in front of our cameras</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 04 Mar 2009 20:02:00 EST. <div align="center"><strong><em><small>Click above for a high-res gallery of the Nissan NV200</small></em></strong><br /></div>
<br />Nissan unwrapped the production version of its new NV200 compact van here at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> after first showing a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/10/tokyo-2007-preview-nissan-nv200-concept/">concept version</a> of it back in 2007 at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Tokyo-Motor-Show/">Tokyo Motor Show</a>. The basic shape and a lot of the body surface details actually survived the transition from concept to production form intact, although some were obviously subdued. Most notable among those are the wheel arches and the wheels they contain. The small wheels on the production version give the compact van a more top-heavy appearance than the concept. Viewed from the front, the narrow width to height ratio exaggerates this effect even further.<br /><br />Under hood Nissan is offering a lineup of 1.5 and 1.6L gas and diesel engines to drive the front wheels. When used for cargo rather than carrying up to seven passengers, the NV200 can swallow up to 145 cubic feet and 1,700 lbs. When Nissan showed its <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/04/nissan-unveils-nv2500-light-commercial-vehicle-concept/">NV2500 concept</a> for its new U.S.-built light commercial vehicle back in December, it also showed the NV200 concept, which suggests that the NV200 will be sold in the U.S. as a competitor to the Ford Transit Connect as Nissan moves into the LCV segment. <br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-nissan-nv200-1/low/">Geneva 2009: Nissan NV200</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-nissan-nv200-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gen-09-nissan-nv200-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-nissan-nv200-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gen-09-nissan-nv200-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-nissan-nv200-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gen-09-nissan-nv200-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-nissan-nv200-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gen-09-nissan-nv200-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-nissan-nv200-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-gen-09-nissan-nv200-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Sam Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-nissan-nv200-gets-its-tippy-on/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva 2009: Nissan NV200 gets its tippy on</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-nissan-nv200-gets-its-tippy-on/">Geneva 2009: Nissan NV200 gets its tippy on</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 04 Mar 2009 18:20:00 EST.
