<br />
<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/geiger/">Geiger</a> is back, and this time it's the vaunted Corvette ZR1 that gets the tuner touch. Dubbed the "Geiger GTS," this &uuml;ber ZR1 doesn't offer ridiculous power gains over its stock <em>bruder</em>, just some careful tweaks that net an additional 63 hp. Still, that brings the already prodigious power up to 710, with a similar bump in torque from 607 to 677 ft-lbs. That's good enough to register 3.6 seconds for the 0-100 km/h sprint, and a V-Max of 212.5 mph.<br />
<br />
Geiger said they'd have the car in <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/frankfurt/">Frankfurt</a>, but we somehow missed it. While the press release makes no mention of suspension tweaks, <em>Ultraleggera</em> O.Z. Racing wheels replace the GM originals, with the 10 x 19 fronts and 12 x 20 inch rears shod in 285/30ZR19 Michelins at the bow and 345/25ZR20s astern. <br />
<br />
One thing that definitely has changed is the exterior. After all, this wouldn't be a Geiger special without some new body panels, and the GTS doesn't disappoint. The stock Corvette ZR1 nose and tail have been swapped out for some Geiger custom parts, and aggressive side sill extensions have been added. The whole thing is finished off in a trademark Geiger custom paintjob, this time three layers of color shifting mother of pearl white with black accents. It had us thinking of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/05/geneva-2008-mansory-displays-a-few-supercar-transformations/">Mansory Ferrari 599 Stallone</a> although it's rather subdued compared to the louvered, lime-green <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/20/geiger-gives-chevrolet-corvette-z06-the-twin-turbo-treatment/">Corvette Z06</a> biturbo that Geiger also offers. <br />
German-American automotive collaborations can go well, or they can go wrong. On the one hand you've got the Chrysler Crossfire, while on the opposite side stands GeigerCars.de, the German tuning house devoted to modifying American muscle, from the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/12/ford-gt-gets-the-geiger-treatment-0-60-drops-to-3-5s/">Ford GT</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/20/geiger-gives-chevrolet-corvette-z06-the-twin-turbo-treatment/">Corvette Z06</a> to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/19/geigercars-muscles-up-with-hummer-h3-gt/"> Hummer H2</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/02/apocalypse-preperation-geiger-ford-f650/">Ford F650 Super Duty</a>. Okay, so sometimes Geiger goes a bit off the deep end with their aesthetic modifications, but we're willing to give them the benefit of the doubt here. After all, with Chevy's new pony car on the market, we couldn't expect them to keep their hands off it, now could we?<br />
<br />
Geiger has taken the top-shelf Camaro SS and bolted a supercharger and custom exhaust to its 6.2-liter V8 to bring output up from the impressive standard 432 horsepower to a bonkers 568, and torque swells along with it from 420 pound-feet to 590. <br />
<br />
To go with the added power and twist, Geiger has fitted 22-inch alloys to replace the stock 20-inchers (you know, just in case they weren't big enough already), housing 380mm brake discs with six pistons up front and 355mm discs with four pistons in the back. Heck, they've even mounted coilovers and adjustable anti-roll bars. <br />
<br />
Geiger claims its modifications bring the Camaro's top speed up to an Autobahn-crunching 195 mph, and may just be enough to best that <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/07/texas-tuner-developing-turbocharged-v6-camaro-to-take-on-gt-rs/">Texan group's twin-turbo V6 Camaro</a> in their bid to outpace the Nissan GT-R at the 'Ring. After all, nobody knows the Green Hell like the Germans themselves, and a bit of American muscle certainly couldn't hurt. Follow the jump for the press release and check out the images in our high-res gallery below.<br />

<br />Leave it up to Geiger Cars to build a lime green, 890-horsepower Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The force behind flamboyant creations like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/10/17/tuner-tuesdays-gulf-wing-hummer-gt-by-geigercars/">Gulf-Wing Hummer</a> and the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/05/geiger-cars-does-the-h2-santa-style/">Santa-style H2</a> have turned their attention to American muscle once again and have introduced an abundance of new performance parts for the Z06 featured in this over-the-top Vette. <br /><br />The bi-turbo package includes an increase in displacement to 7.6-liters and upgraded cylinder heads, valve springs, cams, a larger mass air meter, and a less-restrictive exhaust system in addition to the dual turbochargers. The result is an impressive 890 horsepower and 694 lb-ft torque, as well as a reported top speed of 220 mph. The drivetrain has been beefed up accordingly with a sturdier twin-disc clutch and a carbon fiber driveshaft. <br /><br />This being a Geiger effort, the car in question also features the company's body kit, adjustable coilovers, and larger brakes both front and rear. Did we mention it's lime green? More details in the distinctly German press release after the jump.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-corvette-z06-twin-turbo/low/">Geiger Corvette Z06 Twin-Turbo</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-corvette-z06-twin-turbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/geigercorvettez06_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-corvette-z06-twin-turbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/geigercorvettez06_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-corvette-z06-twin-turbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/geigercorvettez06_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-corvette-z06-twin-turbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/geigercorvettez06_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-corvette-z06-twin-turbo/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/geigercorvettez06_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Geiger Cars]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/20/geiger-gives-chevrolet-corvette-z06-the-twin-turbo-treatment/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geiger gives Chevrolet Corvette Z06 the twin-turbo treatment</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/20/geiger-gives-chevrolet-corvette-z06-the-twin-turbo-treatment/">Geiger gives Chevrolet Corvette Z06 the twin-turbo treatment</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 20 May 2009 09:28:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above to view the supercharged Geiger H3 in our hi-res gallery</small></strong><small></small></em><br /></div>
<br />Mention the name Geiger to a physicist and you're likely to hear about the man who discovered the atomic nucleus and the meter that bears his name. To automotive tuning fanatics, the name refers to the aftermarket firm that turns lethargic HUMMERs into tarmac-chomping beasts. But we're not so sure the two are that far removed.<br /><br />Geiger's latest project <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/19/geigercars-muscles-up-with-hummer-h3-gt/">is another riff</a> on the relatively (and only by comparison) "small" H3, tinkering with the truck's reactor core to pump up its radioactivity. The stock H3 comes with a 3.7-liter inline-five producing a paltry 239 horsepower and 241 little torques, though it is available with a 5.3-liter V8 which still only manage 300hp and 320 lb-ft of twist. Along comes Geiger to fit a supercharger to said eight-cylinder, boosting output to 423 <strike>megatons</strike> horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque. So equipped, the 5000-pound Geiger'd Hummer can reach 60 miles-per-hour in an admirable 7 seconds. 380mm discs gripped by six-pot calipers bring it all back to a halt, surrounded by 22-inch wheels bearing 305/40 Continental rubber. The interior, decked out in carbon fiber, is a matter of taste, but we love how Geiger revives classic racing livery: After their custom H2 popped up in a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/10/17/tuner-tuesdays-gulf-wing-hummer-gt-by-geigercars/">baby-blue and orange Gulf scheme</a>, this H3 brings back the iconic striped white Martini livery popularized by Lancias on the rally circuit and Porsches on the track. Check it out for yourself in the gallery below.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-hummer-h3/low/">Geiger HUMMER H3 V8 Kompressor</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-hummer-h3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/geiger-h3-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-hummer-h3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/geiger-h3-02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-hummer-h3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/geiger-h3-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-hummer-h3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/geiger-h3-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-hummer-h3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/geiger-h3-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.motorauthority.com/geiger-hummer-h3-v8-kompressor.html">Motor Authority</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/02/heavy-water-geiger-supercharges-the-hummer-h3/">Heavy Water: Geiger supercharges the HUMMER H3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 02 Jan 2009 08:29:00 EST. For 99,000 euro we can protect our loved ones while punching through some of the most wicked terrain this side of Dakar in the robust luxury of the German tuner's interpretation of the Ford F-650. Weighing in at 5.2-tons and stretching over 21-feet long, the Geigerfied uber-truck finds motivation from a tweaked 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel putting out 320 hp and 738 lb.-ft. of torque. Grunt is shoveled to a six-speed Allison 3000 automatic gearbox and on down to a biggie-sized driveshaft that powers the four, 22-inch rear wheels. Both the suspension and brakes are air-powered, and if we're willing to shell out a bit more cash, we can get chrome fuel tanks, leather, navigation and, surprisingly, gull-wing doors. We think this would compliment our imaginary post-apocalyptic stable that also includes our all-time favorite RV, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/07/23/the-wothahellizat-winnegabos-weep-in-its-presence/">Wothahellizat</a>.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-ford-f650/low/">Geiger Ford F650</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-ford-f650/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/geigercars.de-ford-f-650-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-ford-f650/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/geigercars.de-ford-f-650-02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-ford-f650/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/geigercars.de-ford-f-650-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-ford-f650/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/geigercars.de-ford-f-650-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-ford-f650/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/geigercars.de-ford-f-650-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.tuningnews.net/article/080502b/geigercars.de-ford-f-650/">Tuning News</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/02/apocalypse-preperation-geiger-ford-f650/">Apocalypse Preparation: Geiger Ford F650</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 02 May 2008 14:57:00 EST. It's performance, however, is anything but. Geiger outfitted the six-liter V8 with a duo of turbos, bumping output up to 614 HP and a tire-decimating 573 lb.-ft. or twist. That propels the C6 Biturbo to 62 MPH in 3.6 seconds, and on to a top speed of 216 MPH. 345 series wrap 19-inch wheels in the rear, ensuring that things stay sticky when the loud pedal is depressed.<br /><br />You can check out a brief spec sheet, albeit in German, by clicking <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-biturbo-corvette-c6/395607/">here</a>, and if you've got the &euro;129,000 price of entry, you can place your order over at Geiger's site <a href="http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&amp;ct=res&amp;cd=1&amp;url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.geigercars.de%2F&amp;ei=1sbnRpCpI6P--AKG39zDBQ&amp;usg=AFQjCNGmMeOBoNPSl-MHbv5nZkz3Lc_LZA&amp;sig2=FR3X3Eu340eueSTFeivV1w">here</a>.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-biturbo-corvette-c6/low/">Geiger Biturbo Corvette C6</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-biturbo-corvette-c6/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/geiger_biturbo_corvette_c6---01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-biturbo-corvette-c6/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/geiger_biturbo_corvette_c6---02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-biturbo-corvette-c6/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/geiger_biturbo_corvette_c6---04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-biturbo-corvette-c6/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/geiger_biturbo_corvette_c6---05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geiger-biturbo-corvette-c6/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/geiger_biturbo_corvette_c6---06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/12/frankfurt-2007-deutschland-americana-geiger-c6-biturbo/">Frankfurt 2007: Deutschland Americana - Geiger C6 Biturbo</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 12 Sep 2007 11:03:00 EST. <p>Obscene, you have a new ride: the HUMMER GT. German tuning house GeigerCars.de GmbH has managed to take the most outlandish and vulgar vehicle on the market and make it even more so with a host of visual and performance enhancements that altogether manage to scream "look at me" louder than a sorority girl at Mardis Gras. </p>
<p>First the good stuff: GeigerCars has upgraded the 6.0L V8 with a supercharger, added a new ECU and piped in a new stainless steel exhaust system, bringing the magic numbers up to 556 horsepower and 564 lb-ft of torque.</p>
<p>GeigerCars also upgraded the suspension, dropping the ride height by 100 millimeters and adding new anti-roll bars. The most obvious addition, though, are the rims. Forget about dinner plates, this sick puppy rides on freakin' flying saucers: giant chrome 30-inch rims, 10 inches wide at all four corners. The mammoth wheels are shod with 315/30R 30 Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires. The wheel and tire package alone costs &euro;28,000, but GeigerCars also offers packages with 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28-inch rims. (Remember when 18 inches were considered big?) Bringing all that heft to a stop, GeigerCars have outfitted the HUMMER GT with a &euro;10,000 brake system with 15-inch cross-drilled discs with 8-pot calipers up front. </p>
<p>Inside the cabin, GeigerCars outfitted the truck with faux carbon trim and a full multimedia sytem with sat-nav, DVD player and television receiver showing on twin LCDs. Finally, outside, the HUMMER GT was painted in the baby blue and orange livery of the classic Porsche 917 of McQueen LeMans fame, complete with Gulf logos above the rear fender. The party piece, though (as if the blingtastic sport-ute needed more), are the front doors that can be opened normally or upwards, scissor-style.</p>
<p>With all the do-dads and bolt-ons listed here, the HUMMER GT sells for a jaw-dropping &euro;133,900, and will propel itself to sixty in 7.9 second flat. This HUMMER really is "like nothing else", and if all that flash won't get you noticed, nothing will.</p>
