The Breeze is a tiny, personal breathalyzer that syncs with your smartphone to estimate when you might be sober again. If you don't feel like waiting around, the app can also hail a cab, contact Uber, call a designated driver, show nearby restaurants and even find a local hotel to sleep things off.

Project Overlord promises to bring tracking software specifically to your vehicle's wheels, whether they're on a passenger car, bicycle or practically anything else, with a new, patent-pending device and smartphone app. When the wheels are tampered with, the system starts tracking them, sounds a loud tone and alerts the police. The company begins an IndieGoGo campaign on January 21 to fund the product.

There's less than one month of summer left and many of you have yet to take a vacation. Might we suggest a road trip? Whether you head out to see Wally World or the world's biggest ball of twine, many challenges await you along the way. Between lousy truck-stop food, random mattresses left in the road, bickering children and your significant other taking over the climate controls like some sort of tin-pot dictator, there's plenty of nonsense to deal with. Audi is obviously looking forward to being in the coming Gran Turismo 5. After all, the Quattro company has created a website to promote its car on the Nürburgring in real life and in the game, and it interviewed GT5 mastermind Kazunori Yamauchi about what fans can expect. Yamauchi-san revealed that the game is going to offer not only more vehicles, more online features, and increased detail, but it will also include night racing, damage rendering (previously confirmed), and weather changes

Audi teamed up with Munich-based watchmaker Chronoswiss to create the Tachoscope, celebrating 100 years of Audi. The mechanical timepiece has a chronograph and tachometer function (to measure velocity) inspired by the Auto Unions that helped define the Audi adventure: the second hand's numerals are derived from the tach in the Auto Union Type C Grand Prix racer.

Here's another iPhone application that demonstrates that soon there is nothing you won't be able to know if you have just one device. DevToaster has created an app called Rev that reads information straight from the OBD-II port on your car and displays it on your iPhone. When it's fully operational, Rev can display things like vehicle speed, RPM, fuel consumption, calculated engine load, and a host of other parameters. You'll even be able to check and reset engine and error codes.

I don't know why, but Cerevellum plans to make a rear view video camera with video monitor for bikes. Bikes have no blind spots because, well, it's a bike, so the bicycle rear view monitor only saves you from turning your head and body slightly. If tipping you head or glancing down at the monitor on the handle bar is too much trouble, there is also a head mounted display unit. Only prototypes of the system exist but production version is expected to have GPS, measure your heart and cost $200. Wo

Goodyear recommends that you check your car's tire pressure once a month. But who has time to waste the seconds, maybe even minutes (!), that it takes to check your tire pressure? Isn't there is a gadget that makes checking your tire press a little simpler, possibly involving LEDs? Yes, yes there is. The Air Alert is one of several products I have found that replaces your regular tire cap with a device that includes a pressure sensor and LED. If your tire pressure falls 4 psi below the set press

digg_url = 'http://digg.com/gadgets/USB_gadget_records_everthing_your_car_does'; CarChip E/X by Davis is a device that logs how you are driving. The CarChip E/X can even be set to beep if you break too fast, speed or accelerate too fast. Changing these behaviors are the top three things a driver can do to increase fuel efficiency without changing the car. The CarChip EX attaches to the OBD (On Board Data) port which is present on most cars made since 1996. From the video review below the fold

A Ferrari PDA. Joy of joys. People still use these things? If you must have one more thing strapped to your belt or stuffed in your pocket, might as well get the one with the Prancing Horse. That way, when everyone else pulls out their toys and starts twiddling as a way to avoid human interaction, you'll have something red, black and flashy.

We're not sure why strains of "Little Green Bag" are going through our head. Perhaps because it's about as funky as this little white purse. Saab teamed up with fashion designer Osman Yousefzada to create "The Little White Purse." The impetus behind the lash-up is to reduce the approximately one day per year the average woman spends digging around for her keys. This from the car company that mounts the ignition lock on the floor. It costs about $150, and is constructed of Italian leather and a n
