Microheat Inc., the company responsible for inventing and supplying General Motors with their HotSpot windshield cleaning system, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The technology utilized heated liquid to clean the front glass of debris, ice, and snow. Unfortunately, a short circuit on a printed circuit board could overheat and lead to a fire (removing contaminants from much more than just the front windshield). Toyota Motor Sales, USA and Calty Design Research, a Toyota design studio, have unveiled student-designed vehicle concepts as part of the Bridge Project, a Toyota-sponsored program for the College for Creative Studies. Calty designs vehicle concepts for Toyota, Lexus and Scion aimed at the North American market and is credited with Toyota F3R, Scion FUSE, and t2B, Toyota FT-SX, and the Lexus LF-C sports coupe.

A picture of the Scion FUSE that’s supposed to ignite next week's NY auto show has been leaked a little early on a forum post over at ScionLife. We learned a while back that the FUSE would feature a topped chop and a short snout, the latter of which we can clearly view in this picture along with a super-sized Scion logo and extra wide front wheel.
