<br /> As far as art imitating life goes, it doesn't get much more realistic than Forza 3. But it was only a matter of time before life would in turn imitate art, and here it is: the Audi TT Forza Motorsport Edition. <br /> <br /> Launched by Audi in conjunction with Microsoft, the Forza edition TT is being released to coincide with the rollout of the highly anticipated new video game. Of course, it comes with the requisite badging, but the real surprise is the bundled Xbox 360 Elite console, complete with a copy of Forza 3, in the trunk. We've yet to receive official confirmation beyond reports surfacing on overseas gaming sites, but sources suggest a retail price of about $35,000.<br /> <br /> <br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/audi-tt-forza-motorsport-edition/low/">Audi TT Forza Motorsport Edition</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/audi-tt-forza-motorsport-edition/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/10/4-noscale_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/audi-tt-forza-motorsport-edition/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/10/3-noscale_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/audi-tt-forza-motorsport-edition/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/10/2-noscale_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/audi-tt-forza-motorsport-edition/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/10/7-noscale_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/audi-tt-forza-motorsport-edition/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/10/6-noscale_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /> [Source: <a href="http://www.gamikaze.pl/Galerie/Aktualnosci/Audi_TT_Forza_Motorsport_Edition.aspx#3">Gamekaze.pl</a> via <a href="http://www.rpmgo.com/audi-and-microsoft-launch-forza-motorsport-3-branded-tt">rpmgo.com</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/26/intel-inside-audi-launching-special-forza-edition-tt/">Intel Inside: Audi launching special Forza edition TT?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 26 Oct 2009 17:01:00 EST. <br />
For the last several months, the folks over at Turn 10 Studios have teased us with previews of the cars that will star in Forza Motorsports 3. The highlights have included <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/22/forza-3-celebrates-the-ferraris-in-our-lives/">Ferraris</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/05/latest-forza-3-update-highlights-american-muscle/">American muscle</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/15/four-door-fun-forza-3-to-also-feature-sedans-and-suvs/">sedans and SUVs</a>, a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/12/forza-motorsport-3-celebrates-past-and-present-of-jdm-in-new-scr/">variety of Japanese sports and racing cars</a>, the almighty <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/02/autoblog-video-exclusive-the-bugatti-veyron-joins-forza-motorsp/">Bugatti 16.4 Veyron</a>, and more. Now with the video game's official release less than a month away, Turn 10 has finally released the complete list of cars that will appear in the hotly anticipated video game. Buyers will be able to choose from more than 400 cars from over 50 manufacturers, all of which can be played using the new cockpit view and customized in the tuning and paint shop. Interestingly, although there are a number of historical Nissan GT-Rs from both street and track, the current car is not included in the roster.<br />
<br />
But wait, there's more! In addition to releasing the full list of cars, Turn 10 also announced that those who purchase Forza 3 on launch day will receive a one-time-use token that will allow them to download ten additional cars and two extra tracks. On that list is the '57 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa and the '65 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, which means we will be officially picking up the game on the first day it's out. <br />
<br />
To celebrate both announcements, Turn 10 has also released the official online game trailer that shows all-new game footage. You ready for it? <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/08/forza-motorsport-3-official-car-list-and-free-dlc-announced-ne/#continued">Follow the jump</a> to view the complete list of cars from Forza 3 and to watch the new trailer. <span style="font-style: italic;">Thanks to everyone for the tips!</span><br style="font-style: italic;" />

<br />
There are 29 Ferraris in Forza Motorsport 3, from the 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO to today's 599 GTB. And just for good measure, the kind folks at Forza threw in a few dream(ier) rides, including modern FIA GT cars, as well as the F40 and F50 Competizione models. You want more? Done. You'll be able to download the all-new <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/Ferrari458Italia/">Ferrari 458 Italia</a> just in time for the holidays.<br />
<br />
Ah, but what if you don't have an XBox? If you're one of the scores of devoted Gran Turismo fans, you won't be left out in the cold. Polyphony Digital is also including the brand new Fezza in GT5, and in an apparent game of one-upmanship, the GT camp and the Forza family have released their own Ferrari teasers. Check out all three videos after the jump and get another eye-full in the Forza gallery below.<br />

<br /> Whatever kind of cars you're into, Forza 3 looks like it'll have you covered. The XBox 360 driving game from Turn 10 Studios is quickly emerging to be the best simulator yet, packed with four hundred cars from fifty automakers on a hundred different tracks. <br /> <br /> We've recently brought you screen shots and gameplay video footage of <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/21/more-forza-3-screen-shots-and-video-just-because/">some of the most tantalizing machinery under the sun</a> on Forza's virtual circuits - from <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/05/latest-forza-3-update-highlights-american-muscle/">American muscle cars</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/15/four-door-fun-forza-3-to-also-feature-sedans-and-suvs/">sport-utes</a> to <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/02/autoblog-video-exclusive-the-bugatti-veyron-joins-forza-motorsp/">Bugattis</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/01/forza-3-releases-updated-car-list-more-screen-shots-with-japane/">Japanese Super GTs</a> - and now Turn 10 has announced a partnership with race organizers Down Under to include Australian V8 Supercars into the game as well. The additional car selection boils down to Holden Commodore VEs and Ford Falcons in a variety of actual liveries, so if you can't make it half way around the world to see the Aussie touring cars go wheel to wheel, you'll soon be able to drive them (virtually) at home. <br />
<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Forza-Motorsport-3/">Forza Motorsport 3</a> developer Turn 10 Studios has decided to share some exclusive video footage with Autoblog (and our sister site <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/02/forza-3-welcomes-1000-horsepower-bugatti-veyron-supercar/">Joystiq</a>) that features one of our favorite cars: the Bugatti Veyron. When the game is released, you'll be able to take the wheel of the world's most expensive 'bug' without having to drop $1.6 million large. And of course, you'll get to customize it all you like. Take that, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/15/monterey-2009-bugatti-grand-sport-sang-bleu-live-from-the-quail/">Sang Bleu</a>... <br />
<br />
Said Turn 10 head Dan Greenawalt, "Including the Veyron allows our fans and community to experience one of the world's rarest supercars at an unparalleled level of realism. Few people will ever get to see this car in person, let alone race or drive one, so the fact that we have it in Forza Motorsport 3 where it's fully drivable, tunable, paintable and even damageable is a very exciting concept to us. We hope our community shares that passion and enthusiasm!"<br />
<br />
Damaging the Veyron in the game wouldn't be as bad as overcooking the real thing into the Armco, but we still recommend against it. However, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/veyron">having driven the thing twice</a>, we can say that if you can get the actual Veyron to lay down rubber or drift through corners, then please give us a call - we have a trophy for you... Check out the video footage <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/02/autoblog-video-exclusive-the-bugatti-veyron-joins-forza-motorsp/">after the jump</a>.<br />

While we don't have much interest in what's going on at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany this week, we do appreciate that it's cause enough for Turn 10 Studios to release 25 new screen shots and a video from the upcoming Forza Motorsport 3 video game. There's not really a theme to the cars featured - they range from a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/gamescom-forza-3-screen-shots/#14">1993 Ford SVT Cobra R</a> to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/gamescom-forza-3-screen-shots/#19">2008 Lamborghini Reventon</a> - but we could really care less. It mostly just makes us want to put Forza 2 back in the XBox to try and whittle down some lap times and mess with suspension tuning in preparation for when F3 hits stores in October. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/21/more-forza-3-screen-shots-and-video-just-because/">Hit the jump</a> for the video or check out the gallery below featuring a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/gamescom-forza-3-screen-shots/#23">Skyline GT-R V-Spec</a>, an <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/gamescom-forza-3-screen-shots/#6">A4 Touring Car</a>, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/gamescom-forza-3-screen-shots/#2">Rahal Letterman Racing M3</a> and more.<br />

<br />
Punked, we've been punked! And that's OK. In the high powered, fast paced <strike>deeply sexy</strike> world of car blogging, mistakes are going to be made. And every once in a while a group of mayhem minded jokers can easily gum up the gears of the machine by providing an elaborate prank as grist for mill. Such is the case with a certain <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/08/spy-video-porsche-cayman-shooting-brake-caught-on-camera-phone/">Porsche Cayman Shooting Brake</a>, cooked up by the former editor of <a href="http://www.bbcamerica.com/shows/topgear/index.jsp">TopGear.com</a>, Jared Holstein as a parting gift.<br />
<br />
The <a href="http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/08/13/porsche-shooting-brake-is-a-fake/">New York Times</a> is reporting that while Holstein thought up the viral plan, the execution was left up to summer interns. One intern, a digital design student named Matt DuVall, carried out the design using Maya, a high powered 3d rendering program used to make movies like <em>Ice Age</em>. Under Holstein's direction, DuVull used as many Porsche design themes as possible, including lots of cues from the Panamera, Porsche development wheels, a Porsche mule lookalike bumper and even the same license plate used on Porsche mules. Then they rendered the "car" in HD, added it to a clip of an alley in Brooklyn, degraded it's quality and added Italian music to make it seem as if some kids captured the shooting brake mule on their phone somewhere in Europe. So, so sneaky. If you haven't seen it yet, we've included the original video <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/13/shooting-fake-porsche-cayman-shooting-brake-a-i-top-gear-i-h/">after the jump</a>.<br />
<br />
Then came our part. Another intern, John Masters (who is getting his masters in media studies) began sending links to car sites. Sites like Autoblog! Masters then created what looked like a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/13/more-evidence-of-porsche-cayman-shooting-brake/">screen shot </a>from the highly anticipated (and blogged about) <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/12/forza-motorsport-3-celebrates-past-and-present-of-jdm-in-new-scr/">Forza Motorsport 3</a> and dropped it into a Czech Forza Forum and wrote in Czech to "add a layer of deception and plausibility." Sneaky, sneaky. We of course, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/08/spy-video-porsche-cayman-shooting-brake-caught-on-camera-phone/">ate it up</a>. More than <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/07/spy-shot-porsche-cayman-shooting-brake-revealed/">once</a>. In our defense, we did punctuate every headline with a question mark. Still, joke's on us, and the rest of the automotive press. They totally got us.<br />
<br />
Why'd they do it? Says Holstein, "Eh, there wasn't any cruel intention... we manifested an automotive Liger because... it was fun to do. That said, if Porsche actually built it, I'd start stripping at bachelorette parties (again) to afford one." He's right, a Cayman Shooting Brake would be incredibly sweet. One more thing. If you pause the video at the 9 second mark, you can see part of a little white Stig helmet poking out from the rear hatch. We're so spitting in Jared's food next auto show. OG video <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/13/shooting-fake-porsche-cayman-shooting-brake-a-i-top-gear-i-h/">after the jump</a>.<br />

<br />More and more folks are slowly but surely coming to the realization that old school Japanese metal is pretty cool. Stylish, too. For instance, have you ever noticed how much a Toyota Celica Supra looks like a <a href="http://www.netcarshow.com/lamborghini/1973-jarama/800x600/wallpaper_05.htm">Lamborghini Jarama</a>? Or that a first generation Miata is a dead ringer for Lotus Elan? Before you start screaming about the Japanese being styling thieves, let's remember two things. <br /><br />As Woody Allen has said, "Be original, don't steal. But if you do, steal from the best." The other is that if you counted up all the running Jaramas and Elans on the world, you'd have a very, very small number. So if not for the Japanese, these shapes would be lost. Then, of course, you have cars like the Datsun 510, a design that looks even sharper now than it did forty years ago -- especially the sedan. And then there's the 240Z, a true icon.<br /><br />In recognition of this, the brains behind <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/04/sneak-peek-forza-motorsport-3/">Forza Motorsport 3</a> are including a bunch of vintage JDM rides in their upcoming XBox racing game that's on schedule to be released this October. Including some racers like the 1997 Nissan Motorsports R390, a homologated Le Mans car, meaning two street examples exist, and they can hit 60 mph in 3.3. seconds, run the quarter in 11 seconds flat and top out at 220 mph. While we think 99% of the cars Forza's including are brillinat, we don't quite get the Scion xD. <em>Thanks for the tip, Brandon!</em><br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/">Forza 3 Japanese Screen Shots</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_honda_fitsport_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_infiniti_g37_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_lexus_isf_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_mazdaspeed3_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_mitsubishi_evoixmr_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/media/images/default.htm?galleryid=1317#/screenshot/1292/">Forza Motorsport</a>]<br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/12/forza-motorsport-3-celebrates-past-and-present-of-jdm-in-new-scr/">Forza Motorsport 3 celebrates past and present of JDM in new screenshots</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 12 Aug 2009 15:32:00 EST. <br />
Turn 10 Studio's bi-weekly update on the new cars and tracks of the upcoming Forza 3 video game turned its attention to American Muscle today, offering a sneak peek of some of the current and classic American Iron that will be featured in the game. Not surprisingly, the latest round of muscle cars are on the 400+ car list including the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/forza-3-american-muscle-screen-shots/#3">2010 Chevrolet Camaro</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/Challenger+SRT8">2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8</a>. You'll also be able to pilot the king of the N&uuml;rburgring, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/forza-3-american-muscle-screen-shots/#15">2008 Dodge Viper ACR</a>, around the legendary German track and see how close you can get to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/05/video-dodge-viper-acrs-record-ring-lap-two-views/">record time of 7:22.1</a>. As always, many of the classics will be available including the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/forza-3-american-muscle-screen-shots/#4">1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427</a>, 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/forza-3-american-muscle-screen-shots/#17">1967 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C</a> and more.<br />
<br />
Like the last update, which featured sedans and SUVs, Forza 3 also previewed some unconventional track vehicles like the 2008 Saleen S331 Supercab and the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/forza-3-american-muscle-screen-shots/#14">2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10</a>. Rather not take either of those on a road course? Well, you're in luck. The update also included news about a new track, Sedona Autopark Raceway - that's a drag strip. Gamers can set the distance of the strip anywhere from an eighth-mile to a full mile to test the acceleration capabilities of their digital rides. <br />
<br />
As always, check out all the new screen shots in the high-res gallery below.<br />

<br />It's been two weeks since Forza Motorsport blessed us with one of their Pit Pass blog updates, so that means it's time for another round of screen shots and a look at some of the new vehicles that will be in the third installment of the video game set to hit store in October. Previous installments have included a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/16/virtual-le-mans-is-on-forza-motorsport-3-confirms-circuit-de-la/">Le Mans</a> and a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/01/forza-3-releases-updated-car-list-more-screen-shots-with-japane/">Japanese</a> theme, and but time the focus is on 'sport luxury' vehicles. We say vehicles and not cars, because Forza 3 will also feature an entire range of SUVs and crossovers. That's right, you'll be able to tackle Le Mans or Laguna Seca in a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/2143454/">BMW X5 xDrive 4.8i</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/2143463/">Land Rover Range Rover Sport</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/2143449/">Audi Q7 V12 TDI</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/2143471/">Volkswagen Toureg R50</a>, and more. We wonder how much weight we can knock off a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S in the tuning garage...<br /><br />Forza 3's updated vehicle list also now includes new models like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/2143467/">Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/2143453/">BMW E60 M5</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/2143458/">Chrysler 300C SRT8</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/2143469/">Pontiac G8 GXP</a>, and more. No new tracks were featured this time, but with over 100 racing venues in the game we're sure there will be plenty more to come. Check out all of the new high-res screen shots in the gallery below.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/low/">Forza 3 'Sport Luxury' Screen Shots</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_landrover_rangerover_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_landrover_rangerover_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_bmw_x5_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_bmw_m5_6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-sport-luxury-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_bmw_x5_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/VIP_style.aspx">ForzaMotorsport.net</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/15/four-door-fun-forza-3-to-also-feature-sedans-and-suvs/">Four-Door Fun: Forza 3 to also feature sedans and SUVs</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 15 Jul 2009 15:30:00 EST. It's been captured in Forza Motorsport 3. <br /><br />While this doesn't mean we'll be seeing such a conveyance on the roads any time soon, or that it is in fact a Porsche product and not a tuner special, gamemakers Turn 10 would need to have spoken to Porsche (or whomever is responsible) about including a car that no one even know about a few weeks ago. <br />Turn 10 Studios has blessed us with another round of screen shots from the upcoming <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/04/sneak-peek-forza-motorsport-3/">Forza Motorsport 3</a>, as well as a few more hints regarding the tracks and vehicles in the game. The previous update had a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/16/virtual-le-mans-is-on-forza-motorsport-3-confirms-circuit-de-la/">Le Mans theme</a>, but this time the focus is on Japan, highlighted by a selection of both cars and tracks from the Land of the Rising Sun. <br /><br />While the complete line-up of Japanese cars hasn't been released, those listed give us a good idea of the range of vehicles due to be offered. You'll be able to drive everything from sub-compacts like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/2118494/">2008 Toyota Yaris S</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/2118481/">2009 Honda Fit Sport</a> to the race cars from the Super GT series including the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/2118500/">Nismo Nissan GT-R</a>. Of course, Japanese icons are also available, including the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/2118485/">Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/2118480/">Subaru Impreza WRX STi</a> as well as the latest range of sports cars like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/2118483/">Lexus IS-F</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/2118486/">Nissan 370Z</a>. <br /><br />As far as tracks go, you'll be able to drive on some of Japan's best race venues including the Suzuka, Twin Ring Motegi, and the Tsukuba. With over 100 real-world tracks available in the game, we're guessing this is only a small sampling of the list. Stay tuned for Turn 10 Studio's bi-weekly updates, and be sure to check out the new high-res screen shots in the gallery below. <em>Thanks for the tip, Brandon!</em><br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/">Forza 3 Japanese Screen Shots</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_honda_fitsport_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_infiniti_g37_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_lexus_isf_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_mazdaspeed3_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-3-japanese-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/fm3_mitsubishi_evoixmr_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/jdm_power.aspx">Forza Motorsport</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/01/forza-3-releases-updated-car-list-more-screen-shots-with-japane/">Forza 3 releases updated car list, more screen shots with Japanese theme</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 01 Jul 2009 15:20:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Circuit De La Sarthe in Forza Motorsport 3 - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />The real <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/24HoursofLeMans/">24 Hours of Le Mans</a> just ended, but thanks to the upcoming release of <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/ForzaMotorsport3/">Forza Motorsport 3</a>, you'll be able to recreate the battle between Audi and Peugeot any time you want. Turn 10, the developers of FM3, have confirmed the game's inclusion of Circuit De La Sarthe, including every famous turn and that most monster of straights, the Mulsanne. We're told that the entire 8.5-mile course and its 21 famously named turns have been painstakingly recreated - even the shorter Bugatti circuit will be playable.<br /><br />La Sarthe is no stranger to being virtually recreated in video games. Most recently, the extremely addicting racer GRiD offered up Le Mans in between seasons while playing in career mode. The third installment of Forza, however, will be the most detailed recreation yet.<br /><br />Turn 10 has also announced a partial list of race cars with which you'll be able to tackle the 24 Hours of Le Mans in your living room. In addition to this year's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/14/2009-24-hours-of-le-mans-peugeot-takes-top-two-podiums/">Le Mans-winning Peugeot 908</a>, Audi's R8 and diesel-powered R10 will be available. There's no mention of the newer R15, but we expect Turn 10 to complete the roster of Audi LMP1 cars with some downloadable content later on. <br /><br />Check out the gallery below to view the rest of the recently announced Le Mans racers and see how well Turn 10 recreated La Sarthe.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/circuit-de-la-sarthe-in-forza-motorsport-3/low/">Circuit De La Sarthe in Forza Motorsport 3</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/circuit-de-la-sarthe-in-forza-motorsport-3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/fm3lemans001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/circuit-de-la-sarthe-in-forza-motorsport-3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/fm3lemans000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/circuit-de-la-sarthe-in-forza-motorsport-3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/fm3lemans002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/circuit-de-la-sarthe-in-forza-motorsport-3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/fm3lemans003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/circuit-de-la-sarthe-in-forza-motorsport-3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/fm3lemans004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/media/images/default.htm#/screenshot/633/">ForzaMotorsport.net</a> via <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5292747/">Jalopnik</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/16/virtual-le-mans-is-on-forza-motorsport-3-confirms-circuit-de-la/">Virtual Le Mans Is On: Forza Motorsport 3 confirms Circuit De La Sarthe</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 16 Jun 2009 19:29:00 EST. <br />Autoblog visited the official unveiling of Forza Motorsport 3, Microsoft's latest racing title for the XBox, at the E3 expo. With graphics playing on numerous flat screens that, to borrow the phrase, moved the game on, and with the backing of an Audi partnership and a gleaming red R8 V10 on a plinth among the crowd, everyone involved was bullish enough on FM3 to make an actual bull think "Better watch out for those guys..." In fact, said Dan Greenwalt, the lead developer at Microsoft's Turn 10 Studios, said "We already made the best racing game the last time, with Forza Motorsport 2." Forza Motorsport 3, he said, signaled that "We were out to make the best game." Follow the jump for the story.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sneak-peek-forza-motorsport-3/low/">Forza Motorsport 3</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sneak-peek-forza-motorsport-3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/23_forza_ms3_e309_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sneak-peek-forza-motorsport-3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/01_forza_ms3_e309_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sneak-peek-forza-motorsport-3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/02_forza_ms3_e309_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sneak-peek-forza-motorsport-3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/03_forza_ms3_e309_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sneak-peek-forza-motorsport-3/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/04_forza_ms3_e309_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/04/sneak-peek-forza-motorsport-3/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Sneak Peek: Forza Motorsport 3</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/04/sneak-peek-forza-motorsport-3/">Sneak Peek: Forza Motorsport 3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 04 Jun 2009 14:57:00 EST. We've been waiting a long time for this. Microsoft Game Studios and Turn 10 Studios have announced that the third rendition of the Forza Motorsport franchise is coming soon, and from the looks of it, there will be plenty to rejoice over. Forza 3 promises to be even more of an evolution than the previous installment, and the developers appear to have addressed the improvements we were hoping to see in the new version. Graphics are massively improved, with ten times the amount of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polygon_%28computer_graphics%29">polygons</a> used than Forza 2, and each car has been greatly detailed including interiors which were left out previously. <br /><br />Car selection is excellent (more than 400 from 50 manufacturers), as we expected, and the game's stable has been updated with new supercars like the Aston Martin DBS and the Audi R8 V10 that is featured on the cover. Perhaps the most exciting news is the availability of over 100 real-world tracks, significantly more than the meager selection in Forza 2. Also new is a "season mode" that creates a personalized racing calendar with more than 200 events including Circuit, Oval, Drag, Drift and Timed Events. <br /><br />Of course, many of the features that we loved in Forza 2 have remained, including the fantastic multiplayer mode on Xbox Live, the numerous tuning options, and the ability to create infinitely custom liveries in the paint shop. <br /><br />The only bad news is the wait. Forza 3 will officially go on sale in October of this year, with a price of $59.99, or $79.99 for the Limited Collector's Edition). <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/02/video-forza-motorsport-3-trailer-game-info-released/">Follow the jump</a> for the official trailer and the press release from Turn 10 Studios, and you can also check out the screen shots in the high-res gallery below. <em>Thanks for the tips, everyone!</em><br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-motorsport-3-screen-shots/low/">Forza Motorsport 3 Screen Shots</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-motorsport-3-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/fm3_e3_lambo_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-motorsport-3-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/fm3_e3_aston_4(2)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-motorsport-3-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/fm3_e3_fiorano_2(2)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-motorsport-3-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/fm3_e3_ladera_2(2)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/forza-motorsport-3-screen-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/fm3_e3_montserrat_2(2)_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/default.htm">ForzaMotorsport.net</a>, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFwNP5zrvso">YouTube</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/02/video-forza-motorsport-3-trailer-game-info-released/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: Forza Motorsport 3 trailer, game info released</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/02/video-forza-motorsport-3-trailer-game-info-released/">VIDEO: Forza Motorsport 3 trailer, game info released</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 02 Jun 2009 12:58:00 EST. <p>This particular blogger happened to be searching for any news on Forza Motorsport 3 (coming sometime in 2009!) when I came across this incredible video. It appears the art of drifting has entered the digital realm, and a group of digital racers named 'Project Blackjack" have put together an extensive video showcasing their talents. This is their seventh film entitled "The Rising Storm", compiled completely from Forza 2 footage, many times with with "camera cars" placed at certain location to capture the action. You can see tandem drifting on tracks like Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta and even the Nurburgring. As you can imagine, figuring out how to correctly film the drifting, getting two to five cars to make a good run together, and then finally compiling the footage took quite a while. <p>It's fantastic when the Microsoft juggernaut uses its massive expertise to get things spot on. Forza Motorsport 2, the sequel to original's four-wheeled bedlam, has better physics, better visuals, and according to the recently posted <a href="http://forzamotorsport.net/news/announcements/carlist.htm">list</a>, 310 cars to choose from.</p>
<p>There's the mundane, like a 2006 Acura RL. There's the surprising, like a Bentley Continental GT. There's the juiced, like the the Saleen S7. There are the shoo-ins, like the Mclaren F1 and the NSX. And then there's the overkill: 18 Chevys, 20 Ferraris, 22 Nissans, 25 Porsches, and 25 Toyotas. That's the kind of "overkill" that's just right in our book. Seven of those cars can only be had with game pre-orders and the collector's edition. Other rare "unicorn cars" can be bought in the Turn 10 online auction, in case you can't get your lap times just right with the 310 standard options.</p>
<p>What's more, you get more tuning choices like swapping drivetrains (changing FWD into RWD), and more artwork possibilities (4000 art layers instead of 400). You can even create custom paint jobs and sell them online. Forza Motorsport 2 arrives in May. Get ready to drive.</p>
