Hertz brings a pair of Ford Mustangs from its "Rent-A-Racer" program to Jay Leno's Garage.
Ford Shelby Gt350
Ford is auctioning off the chance to own the very first production example of the latest Shelby GT350 Mustang at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, AZ, on January 17. There's no reserve on the sale, and all of the proceeds go to the JDRF, a charity that funds type 1 diabetes research.
The 2015 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang was one of the shining stars of this year's Los Angeles Auto Show. And the Blue Oval's latest muscle car might even have reason to burn a little brighter if a recent rumor about its price proves true. Best of all are rumors that an even more potent version of the Shelby is potentially on the way.
If there's one thing you can count on, it's that the renewed rivalry between the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro will never, ever cease. For every version of Ford's pony car, there's an equally potent Chevrolet. And so with the debut of the Camaro Z/28 earlier this year, Ford has responded with a track-focused 'Stang of its own, resurrecting the Shelby GT350 name.
