<div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for more shots of the 1995 Ferrari motorcycle</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Ferrari doesn't make motorcycles. At least, not officially... but that fact hasn't stopped <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/09/prancing-steel-horse-custom-scuderia-ferrari-chopper/">a number</a> of <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/04/29/motorcycle-headcase-2-guy-stuffs-ferrari-engines-into-two-cust/">custom cycle makers</a> from taking <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/25/a-ferrari-motorcycle-only-in-our-1-12-scale-dreams/">matters</a> into their <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/24/lean-machine-ferrari-v4-superbike-concept/">own hands</a>. Perhaps the most famous Maranello-inspired two-wheeler was <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/25/awesome-ness-custom-bike-exhibit-to-open-in-may/">made by Arlen Ness</a>, but that one's not all that practical in conception. We would imagine a Ferrari motorcycle to be a truly sporting machine, equally as comfortable on the race track as the street, or, more realistically, being shown off in one's garage. Ferrari seems to agree, as the only cycle ever created that bears an official Ferrari chassis number -- SF-01M -- has true sporting pretensions.<br /><br />Built by David Kay Engineering and completed in 1995, this one-and-only Ferrari motorcycle sports a DOHC engine displacing 900cc and putting out 105 horsepower at 8,800rpm. The only styling choice we take exception with are the Testarossa-style strakes on either side, but nothing's perfect, right? So, what's the only officially official Ferrari bike worth? We'll find out for sure when the auction ends on the 20th, but the expected price is between 325,000-375,000 Swiss francs, or around $300K in U.S. dollars.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/1995-ferrari-motorcycle">1995 Ferrari Motorcycle</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/1995-ferrari-motorcycle/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/12/ferrari_bike_bonhams_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/1995-ferrari-motorcycle/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/12/ferrari_bike_bonhams_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/1995-ferrari-motorcycle/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/12/ferrari_bike_bonhams_06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/1995-ferrari-motorcycle/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/12/ferrari_bike_bonhams_08_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/1995-ferrari-motorcycle/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/12/ferrari_bike_bonhams_07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/public.sh/pubweb/publicSite.r?sContinent=EUR&amp;screen=lotdetailsNoFlash&amp;iSaleItemNo=4148572&amp;iSaleNo=16671&amp;iSaleSectionNo=2#">Bonhams</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/07/1995-ferrari-motorcycle-to-be-auctioned/">1995 Ferrari motorcycle to be auctioned</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 07 Dec 2008 16:39:00 EST. Ferrari has finally created a new <a href="http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3166788#prod_prodinfo">two-wheeler</a>, but it's not exactly the Ducati-esque superbike we had been hoping for. Still, it's probably the greenest Ferrari the world will ever see. Designed for little tykes of either gender aged 3-4 years, this not-quite from Maranello Ferrari-branded cycle has dual 12-inch wheels, an aluminum twin-tube chassis running straight from the headtube to the rear dropouts and, um, training wheels. A <strike>radial-mounted</strike> caliper brake grips firmly at the front while the rear gets a skid-friendly coaster brake. Just in case the bright red paint job didn't get the message across, a yellow Prancing Horse flag is affixed to the rear, easily adding a few extra horsepower in the process. Get yours now from Toys-R-Us for under 5-large. Too small? No worries, a <a href="http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3166786">16-inch</a> wheel version is available along with a proper <a href="http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3166787">20-incher</a> for those budding pre-teen future Ferrari drivers. <em>Thanks for the tip, Yash</em>!<br /><br />[Sources: <a href="http://www.fashionfunky.com/2008/09/ferrari_for_kids_special_editi.php">The Earth Times</a>, <a href="http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3166788#prod_prodinfo">Toys-R-Us</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/16/ferrari-getting-them-young-with-cx-10-training-bike/">Ferrari getting them young with CX-10 training bike</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 16 Sep 2008 18:32:00 EST. We just realized this Sunday is Father's Day and we don't have a gift for dear old Dad. Again. Never fear! Autoblog's staffers been in this spot before, so just follow our lead. Oh, and we're gonna assume that if you're car-crazed enough to be looking for gift ideas here, then your pops probably likes cars too.<br /><br /><strong><a href="http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2007/04/knobby_all_terrain_rubber.html">Homemade tire tread wallet</a> </strong>- $0<br />The folks at <a href="http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2007/04/knobby_all_terrain_rubber.html">Make Magazine</a> are like all journalists who love their dads. Broke. So they offer this <a href="http://www.instructables.com/id/EW1B4UJF0ZSTCNR/">guide</a> from Instructables on how to make your dad his very own wallet from a bike tire, though you could probably substitute any tire with some ingenuity. Now how cool is that? They even show you how to install a "drop alarm" on the wallet in case it falls out of your dad's pocket. Or if, we're guessing, he throws it away and you want to fish it out of the trash. Just like that tie rack you made him in seventh grade. If he's not a car guy (what?!), there are also instructions for wallets made of <a href="http://www.instructables.com/id/E0BYEMUIC9ET2JXVFV/">duct tape,</a> or a <a href="http://www.instructables.com/id/EU0DY6QKNCEZ7BHEZ0/">computer keyboard</a> or an <a href="http://www.instructables.com/id/EEQE2JKF0ZSTDVO/">Altoids tin.</a><br /><br />However, if you have a few dollars to spend, check the jump for some great Father's Day gift ideas before it's too late.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/15/autoblogs-last-minute-fathers-day-gift-buying-guide/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Autoblog's (last-minute) Father's Day gift-buying guide</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/15/autoblogs-last-minute-fathers-day-gift-buying-guide/">Autoblog's (last-minute) Father's Day gift-buying guide</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 15 Jun 2007 12:13:00 EST.
