<br />
It can't really be that simple, can it? Well, it seldom is. But experts in any given field tend to have a knack for making complex procedures look deceptively simple. Take this video, for example, from Creative FX. The British firm specializes in vinyl wraps, and they make it look all too easy. <br />
<br />
Wraps are growing into a popular choice for exotic car owners looking to give their rides a new look. Rather than repainting the entire car, specialist shops like Creative FX apply what essentially amounts to giant decals. That's how most of the matte-finish cars we see - including this particular <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/f430">Ferrari F430</a> Spider - end up that way. You have to figure it'd be a very tricky operation. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/12/06/video-thats-a-wrap-ferrari-f430-spider-gets-the-vinyl-treatme/#continued">Follow the jump</a> to watch the video and judge for yourself.<br />

Inden Design Ferrari F430 Spider - Click above for high-res image gallery</small><br />

<br />
It's a risky game, trying to improve upon a Ferrari. There are a handful of tuners (Edo Competition, Novitec Rosso) that arguably manage to pull it off, and now German tuning house Inden Design is aiming to join the ranks with its own modified F430. Fortunately, they've kept the modifications reasonable, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel and turning an automotive work of art into a rolling atrocity.<br />
<br />
Under the hood, Inden Design has only tweaked with the ECU and fitted a new stainless exhaust system - fairly standard mods - yielding a not insignificant 35-horsepower boost to bring total output up to 525 ponies. Sport springs were added behind the multi-spoke 20-inch wheels, while a lip spoiler, side skirts and carbon diffuser round out the aerodynamics. <br />
<br />
Meanwhile, Inden has managed to find a few areas inside that weren't already covered in leather and saw to that with judicious application of cowhide. While we're not sure we would have the chutzpah to tinker with a Ferrari, if we were so inclined Inden Design's approach strikes us as a sound. Check out the slick high-res images in the big gallery below and let us know what you think in the comments.<br />

<br />The focus under the Prancing Horse this year at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> was clearly on the flagship 599, with its new <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/03/geneva-2009-ferrari-messes-with-perfection-on-599-handling-gte/">HGTE package</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/03/geneva-2009-ferrari-599xx-is-our-kind-of-menace-to-society/">599XX</a> track car, but Maranello also brought out the new <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/09/officially-official-ferrari-scuderia-spider-16m-to-celebrate-f/">Scuderia Spider 16M</a>. The limited edition roadster was <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/09/more-photos-ferrari-unveils-scuderia-spider-16m-at-mugello/">originally unveiled</a> back in November at the Mugello race track in northern Italy to celebrate Ferrari's 16th Formula One constructors' title that was earned last year, but this was the first look we've had of it up close. Essentially a cross between the 430 Scuderia and the F430 Spider, the 16M is, according to Ferrari, the fastest convertible ever offered by the brand. With less than 500 examples being made, this may be the closest you ever get to <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/25/right-round-baby-ferrari-scuderia-spider-in-3d/">seeing one</a>, so check it out in the gallery below.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ferrari-scuderia-spyder-16m/low/">Geneva 2009: Ferrari Scuderia Spyder 16M</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ferrari-scuderia-spyder-16m/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-gen-09-ferrari-16m-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ferrari-scuderia-spyder-16m/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-gen-09-ferrari-16m-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ferrari-scuderia-spyder-16m/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-gen-09-ferrari-16m-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ferrari-scuderia-spyder-16m/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-gen-09-ferrari-16m-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-ferrari-scuderia-spyder-16m/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-gen-09-ferrari-16m-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br /> <em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Noah Joseph / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-ferrari-16m-scuderia-spider-joins-the-party/">Geneva 2009: Ferrari 16M Scuderia Spider joins the party</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 04 Mar 2009 14:20:00 EST. <br />Yesterday Ferrari issued a recall for 1,950 of its 2005-2007 F430 Spiders involving the car's automatic convertible top, according to the NHTSA. The problem arose from the hydraulic hoses that operate the top, which could form hairline cracks due to heat from the engine. As a result, the hoses could leak fluid into the engine bay and possibly create smoke or even start a fire. To remedy the situation, Ferrari dealers will install an insulated heat shield that will protect the hoses from heat in the engine bay. Full details can be found in the NHTSA release after the jump. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrari-f430-spider/low/">Ferrari F430 Spider</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrari-f430-spider/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/f430spider_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrari-f430-spider/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/f430spider_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrari-f430-spider/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/f430spider_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrari-f430-spider/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/f430spider_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrari-f430-spider/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/f430spider_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=142206">InsideLine</a> via <a href="http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=232668">FerrariChat.com</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/18/ferrari-recalls-f430-spider-for-defective-convertible-top/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Ferrari recalls F430 Spider for defective convertible top</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/18/ferrari-recalls-f430-spider-for-defective-convertible-top/">Ferrari recalls F430 Spider for defective convertible top</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 18 Feb 2009 16:54:00 EST. <p>The summer season may be over, but that won't stop Ferrari from going topless. Because in Italy, the end of the beach season is superseded only by the end of the Formula One season, and this year the Scuderia took home the constructors' title. To celebrate, Ferrari has unveiled the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/09/rendered-speculation-ferrari-430-scuderia-spider/">Scuderia Spider</a> 16M at the annual finals at its Mugello circuit in northern Italy, the same place the company revealed the enhanced <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/28/revealed-ferrari-fxx-evoluzione/">FXX Evoluzione</a> last year.</p>

As the source surmises, it could be a mule for the next F430, but it looks for all intent and purposes like a standard F430... just with a removable hardtop. On the other hand, Ferrari could actually be developing a hat for the F430 Spider in response to owner requests for it. That's not very likely either, because Ferrari owners know what they're getting, and if they're concerned the sun will singe their balding heads, then they get the coupe version. Finally, this could be a single, rogue Ferrari owner who has spent some money to make his F430 more unique than the next. Being that the car was spotted in Ferrari's hometown of Maranello and it's wearing manufacturer license plates, that scenario's unlikely, as well. We're stumped, but it's pretty clear this car, whatever it is, comes with the full sanction of Ferrari itself. What is the Prancing Horse up to here?<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.autogespot.com/en/item/274/ferrari-f430-with-hardtop-spotted/">Autogespot</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/19/spy-shots-ferrari-f430-with-removable-hardtop/">Spy Shots: Ferrari F430 with removable hardtop?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 19 May 2008 10:31:00 EST. Not so much for his awesome music, but for the cars he uses in his vids. Just a few weeks ago we showed you the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/10/18/video-cruisin-monte-carlo-with-jay-z-dale-jr-and-danica/">Monte Carlo-set video</a> for "Show Me What You Got" with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Danica Patrick racing around in a Ferrari F430 Spider and Pagani Zonda Roadster respectively, and now he brings forth one of our favorite concept cars of recent years, the Maybach Exelero. It is featured in his new video for "Lost Ones." Such a badass car. <br /><br />We've been very fortunate to see this car close up on several occasions starting with Pebble Beach in August and continuing up to last week, when The Governator stopped to admire it at the LA Auto Show. As enticing as it looks on the show floor, it looks even better rolling under street lights, if we do say so ourselves. Makes us think a limited run could sell pretty quickly if Maybach decided to greenlight it.<br /><br />Thanks Iculookin2 for the tip!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/05/video-jay-z-taps-maybach-exelero-for-new-video/">VIDEO: Jay-Z taps Maybach Exelero for new video</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 05 Dec 2006 18:03:00 EST.
