<br />Renault has introduced its new M&eacute;gane Sport Tourer, which might rightfully called "Blackjack," because there are twenty-one different versions in the range. That's one car available with four different engines in five different trim levels. It's the antidote to the kind of economic rationalization we've been seeing, but hey, it means you win -- if you're in a country where you can buy one. <br /><br />The M&eacute;gane Sport Tourer starts from &pound;15,485 ($25,553 U.S.) for the Expression 1.6 -- which appears to have a 1.4-liter engine -- to &pound;22,785 ($37,599 U.S.) for a kitted out Privil&egrave;ge model. There's even a TomTom edition if that's how you roll, and you can get all the info on them after the jump. <br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-renault-megane-sport-tourer/low/">2010 Renault Megane Sport Tourer</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-renault-megane-sport-tourer/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/01_renault_megane_tourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-renault-megane-sport-tourer/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/02_renault_megane_tourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Renault]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/23/renault-megane-sport-tourer-launches-in-no-fewer-than-21-flavors/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Renault Mégane Sport Tourer launches in no fewer than 21 flavors</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/23/renault-megane-sport-tourer-launches-in-no-fewer-than-21-flavors/">Renault Mégane Sport Tourer launches in no fewer than 21 flavors</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 23 Aug 2009 18:16:00 EST. <br />We know the sales numbers in America don't agree with us, but here at AB we loves us some premium station wagons. The ability to haul ass, kin, and upright bongos all at the same time just speaks to our gearhead souls. All of which goes to show why we may be a bit more interested in <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/04/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leaks-out-ahead-of-frankfurt-d/">Mercedes-Benz's 2010 E-Class Estate</a> more than we are in the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/05/first-drive-2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-still-a-solid-bet-with-e/">sedan that we've already driven</a> - itself a fine automobile. <br /><br />Whether the load-lugging model will come to America remains to be seen, but we look forward to seeing it in the flesh at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Frankfurt-Motor-Show/">Frankfurt Motor Show</a> all the same. In the meantime, we'll have to slake our familyman joneses on the new video available <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/05/video-2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-busts-a-move-with-its-f/">after the jump</a>. Oh, perhaps it's just us, but doesn't it look like the new E-Wagon has its automotive barn door ajar (or missing completely) for a few split-seconds beginning at 1:10 in the video? We hate to nitpick, but for a company that crows about its precision engineering, they seem to be having some minor <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/13/video-mercedes-benz-e-class-commercial-features-malfunctioning/">quality control issues with their video production teams as of late</a>. Let's hope that their models are better behaved. <em>Thanks for the tip, Racer!</em><br /><br /><br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/">2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate leakage</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/01-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate_thumbnail.jpg" alt="01-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" title="01-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/02-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate_thumbnail.jpg" alt="02-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" title="02-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/03-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate_thumbnail.jpg" alt="03-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" title="03-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/04-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate_thumbnail.jpg" alt="04-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" title="04-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/05-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate_thumbnail.jpg" alt="05-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" title="05-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu8B42_sJI4">YouTube</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/05/video-2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-busts-a-move-with-its-f/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate busts a move with its fly open</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/05/video-2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-busts-a-move-with-its-f/">VIDEO: 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate busts a move with its fly open</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 05 Aug 2009 15:00:00 EST. <br /> Although the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/FrankfurtMotorShow/">Frankfurt Motor Show</a> is still a month away, images of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate ("wagon" to us 'Mericans) have leaked out ahead of its official reveal in Germany.<br /> <br /> The E-Class Estate joins the thoroughly revised sedan and coupe variants of Merc's mid-sizer and will undoubtedly grow both longer and wider than the outgoing five-door. Although the majority of the interior has been ported over from its siblings, the Estate's party-pieces are its folding rear seats that can be laid flat, a new cargo area nestled within the trunk and a set of rear-facing jump seats bound to make the kiddies car-sick on the Autobahn.<br /> <br /> Mercedes' range of four-, six- and eight-cylinder powerplants will carry over from the other Es, including a 204-hp, turbocharged 1.8-liter and a 388-hp 5.5-liter V8. Both rear- and 4Matic all-wheel drive should be available when the E-Class Estate goes on sale in Europe late next month.<br /> <br /> <br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/">2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate leakage</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/01-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate_thumbnail.jpg" alt="01-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" title="01-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/02-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate_thumbnail.jpg" alt="02-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" title="02-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/03-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate_thumbnail.jpg" alt="03-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" title="03-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/04-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate_thumbnail.jpg" alt="04-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" title="04-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leakage/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/05-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate_thumbnail.jpg" alt="05-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" title="05-2010-mercedes-e-class-estate" /></a></div><br /> [Source: <a href="http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2009/08/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-makes.html">Carscoop</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/04/2010-mercedes-benz-e-class-estate-leaks-out-ahead-of-frankfurt-d/">2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate leaks out ahead of Frankfurt debut</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 04 Aug 2009 13:54:00 EST. Remember that <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/08/spy-video-porsche-cayman-shooting-brake-caught-on-camera-phone/">Cayman shooting brake/breadvan mule</a> recently spotted on the streets of Europe and supposed by many commenters to be a fake? It's been captured in Forza Motorsport 3. <br /><br />While this doesn't mean we'll be seeing such a conveyance on the roads any time soon, or that it is in fact a Porsche product and not a tuner special, gamemakers Turn 10 would need to have spoken to Porsche (or whomever is responsible) about including a car that no one even know about a few weeks ago. While computer renderings must be viewed with a few packets of salt sprinkled on the screen, if you compare the 9-5 sedan render with a spy shot of the <a href="http://www.saabsunited.com/2009/05/carscoop-make-amends-for-phil---post-uncovered-2010-saab-9-5-spyshots.html">rear end of the actual car</a>, the similarities look promising. <br /><br />The wagon rendering is simply too brutally sexy to be believed, and so -- only in order not to have our hopes dashed -- we refuse to believe it. If Saab did have the gumption to design such a car, and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/16/officially-official-koenigsegg-reaches-agreement-to-buy-saab/">Koenigsegg</a> does have the wherewithal to properly market it, then we might just have a proper Swedish car company on our hands again. The 9-5 sedan arrives at this year's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/FrankfurtAutoShow/">Frankfurt Auto Show</a> and goes on sale this year, with the wagon following next year.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.saabsunited.com/2009/06/first-photos---2010-saab-9-5-sedan-and-wagon.html">Saabs United</a> via <a href="http://www.autoblog.nl/archive/2009/06/27/de-eerste-officiele-beelden-van-de-nieuwe-saab-9-5">Autoblog.nl</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/29/rendered-speculation-is-the-new-saab-9-5/">Rendered Speculation: Is this the new Saab 9-5?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 29 Jun 2009 10:07:00 EST. <br />We find it cool that carmakers cart their rides all over the globe to carry out the most brutal testing in the most out of the way places. They must find it a little frustrating, however, that car mavens with cameras and internet connections lurk in even in the most remote locations . <br /><br />According to AB reader Tom, he spotted a pair of lightly-camoed Mercedes-Benz <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/23/mercedes-benz-e-class-wagon-convertible-coming-to-frankfurt/">E-Class wagons</a> and a sedan "on the desert gravel roads between Walvis Bay and Solitaire in Namibia." The wagons are getting ready for their debut at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Frankfurt-Auto-Show/">Frankfurt Auto Show</a> in a few months, and if the tailpipe application is accurate then the black one is likely a V8 - and yes, this does mean we want a blacked-out wagon E550 wagon. You can check out high-res pics of the trio below. <em>Thanks for the images, Tom!</em><br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-e-class-wagon-in-namibia/low/">2010 E Class Wagon in Namibia</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-e-class-wagon-in-namibia/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/01_merc_wgn_namb_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-e-class-wagon-in-namibia/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/02_merc_wgn_namb_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-e-class-wagon-in-namibia/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/03_merc_wgn_namb_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-e-class-wagon-in-namibia/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/04_merc_wgn_namb_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-e-class-wagon-in-namibia/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/05_merc_wgn_namb_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/06/reader-spy-best-look-yet-at-forthcoming-mercedes-e-class-wagon/">Reader Spy: Best look yet at forthcoming Mercedes E-Class wagon arrives from Namibia</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sat, 06 Jun 2009 18:03:00 EST. Chrysler caught it and it proved terminal. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/25/report-porsche-facing-dire-times-actually-skirted-bankruptcy-i/">Porsche was on intensive care</a> for a moment but should recover. And now Mercedes, it turns out, has a runny nose and a little cough. The home of the three-pointed-star is delaying the introduction of the E-Class convertible and wagon in order to save money on development and marketing. <br /><br />The E-Class convertible was due to be shown at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/FrankfurtMotorShow/">Frankfurt Motor Show</a> later this year, but a report states we won't see the car unveiled until the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/GenevaMotorShow/">Geneva Motor Show</a> in 2010. In addition to the cash savings, it will also let Mercedes reveal the car much closer to convertible buying season. The E-Class wagon, described as a shooting brake and more design-driven wagon, won't bow until 2012. <br /><br />The moves will allow Mercedes to stash money from E-Class sedan and coupe sales. It also lets Mercedes focus 2010 on the new CLS, its plans for the V6 Bluetec hybrid and, according to <em>Auto Motor und Sport</em>, a four-cylinder diesel replacement for the S-Class.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/news/mercedes-daimler-verschiebt-zwei-e-klasse-varianten-1267012.html">Auto Motor und Sport</a> (<a href="http://74.125.95.132/translate_c?hl=en&amp;sl=de&amp;u=http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/news/mercedes-daimler-verschiebt-zwei-e-klasse-varianten-1267012.html&amp;prev=/search%3Fq%3Dauto%2Bmotor%2Bund%2Bsport%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3DecF&amp;rurl=translate.google.com&amp;usg=ALkJrhg_86dxiPMh4GyOVWi8N6MD1L9CYA">translated</a>)]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/26/report-mercedes-delaying-e-class-convertible-wagon/">REPORT: Mercedes <strike>delaying</strike> <i>not delaying</i> E-Class convertible, wagon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 26 May 2009 09:33:00 EST. <br />The <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/14/insignia-sports-tourer-wagon-revealed-before-paris-motor-show/">Opel Insignia Sports Tourer</a> landed at a dealer in the Czech Republic, and it is nothing but tasty: a six-speed diesel with seating for five that holds from 540 or 1,530 cubic liters with the seats down (from 19 to 54 cubic feet) and the handsome hauler gets and 50 mpg (US) from its 160 horsepower 2.0 CTDI. What's more, the rear cargo area has a beautifully flat entry, and a hidden compartment underneath the load floor.<br /><br />It also has a host of convenience technology such as the Adaptive Forward Lighting with nine (count em!) different settings and the Opel Eye, which memorizes street signs and displays them in the dash. Sounds a bit like the Eye of Mordor, but it could come in handy when on unfamiliar turf. For the consortium looking for new Saturn models to import, please start here. <em>Thanks for the tip, Evzen!</em><br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/vauxhall-opel-insignia-sports-tourer/low/">Vauxhall/Opel Insignia Sports Tourer</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/vauxhall-opel-insignia-sports-tourer/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/01_opel_sports_tourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/vauxhall-opel-insignia-sports-tourer/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/02_opel_sports_tourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/vauxhall-opel-insignia-sports-tourer/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/03_opel_sports_tourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/vauxhall-opel-insignia-sports-tourer/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/04_opel_sports_tourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/vauxhall-opel-insignia-sports-tourer/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/05_opel_sports_tourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.autorevue.cz/Magazin/Opel-Insignia-Combi-prvni-zive-seznameni/sc-17-sr-1-a-17412/default.aspx">Autorevue</a> (<a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=hp&amp;hl=en&amp;js=n&amp;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.autorevue.cz%2FMagazin%2FOpel-Insignia-Combi-prvni-zive-seznameni%2Fsc-17-sr-1-a-17412%2Fdefault.aspx&amp;sl=cs&amp;tl=en">translated</a>)]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/21/opel-insignia-sport-tourer-lands-at-a-czech-dealer-do-want/">Opel Insignia Sport Tourer lands at a Czech dealer. SEAT has been in the segment before with its Cordoba Vario from 1998. Currently, the segment is dominated by capable-but-not-exactly-exciting models like the Renault Clio Sport Tourer, Nissan Note Accenta, and Peugeot 207 SW. SEAT wants the ST to earn looks for its compelling design, the leadership of which is being headed by Murcielago stylist Luc Donckerwolke. In addition to being the next refinement of SEAT's Arrow Design language, the car is expected to have new engines not currently seen in the Ibiza line. <br /><br />[Source: SEAT]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/11/seat-sketches-out-ibiza-st-concept/">SEAT sketches out Ibiza ST concept</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sat, 11 Apr 2009 12:39:00 EST. Judging from what we see here and what we've already heard, the coming Focus will take its design cues from the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-fords-next-focus-the-iosis-max/">Iosis-Max concept </a>shown at Geneva last month. <br /><br />One thing we didn't see on the Iosis-Max, however, was the high-rise stance the Focus mule is sporting. We aren't sure why the mule has such elevated ground clearance, a state which seems to affect the sedan more than the wagon - perhaps there's some clandestine CUV testing or tuning going on? <br /><br />Regardless, we can't wait to see the looks of the final car. And who knows... maybe even a Focus wagon will once again find its way over this way?<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.nextautos.com/spy-shots-next-generation-ford-focus-mules-spied">NextAutos</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/26/spy-shots-next-ford-focus-mules-caught-testing/">Spy Shots: Next Ford Focus mules caught testing</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 26 Mar 2009 18:58:00 EST. And if new rumors prove to be true, the XF will soon be able to tote a lot more of the wet stuff thanks to a new wagon variant.<br /><br />According to <em>Auto Motor und Sport</em>, Jaguar will unveil a thinly-disguised XF Estate concept car at September's Frankfurt Motor Show, with a 2011 production model following about six months later. AMuS also suggests that there will be an XFR estate model to take on BMW's M5 Touring and Audi's RS6, and like its sedan counterpart, it is expected to be V8-powered with some 510 supercharged horsepower. Naturally, more measured V8 and V6 models will also make the scene, along with a pair of V6 diesel models.<br /><br />Other XF variants, including a possible coupe and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/12/rendered-speculation-jaguar-xf-convertible/">convertible</a> are reportedly on the table. We're looking forward to clapping our eyes on the load-lugging cat, and hope that the XF's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/09/report-quality-problems-afflicting-jaguar-xf/">rumored quality problems</a> don't dog what is sure to be a stylish family transporter.<br /><br />[Source: <em>Auto Motor und Sport</em> via <a href="http://74.125.19.132/translate_c?hl=en&amp;sl=nl&amp;u=http://autotelegraaf.nl/vanonzeredactie/%3Fnewsid%3D3489493&amp;prev=/search%3Fq%3DAutoTelegraaf%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3Dysu&amp;usg=ALkJrhhosBSBF3b3K_PfhHhvfSzi2-KTCQ">AutoTelegraph.nl</a>]<br /><br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/16/rumormill-jaguar-xf-estate-headed-to-frankfurt/">Rumormill: Jaguar XF Estate headed to Frankfurt</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 16 Mar 2009 14:28:00 EST. <p>Jack Bauer is many things to many people. But one thing he is absolutely not is a small French station wagon. In fact, you could make a good case for arguing that he is the very antithesis of a small French station wagon. Although the producers of the popular Fox series <em>24</em> announced this past summer that they'd be working towards <a href="http://www.autobloggreen.com/2007/08/05/jack-bauer-eco-warrior-the-greening-of-i-24-i/">making the show carbon-neutral</a> in its production, that doesn't mean the show's hero is about to step out of his giant American SUV and into a tiny import econobox. At least, we hope not. </p>
<p>That doesn't seem to have deterred Renault, however, who put together this television advertisement for their new Clio Sport Tourer with a decidedly <em>24</em>-like flavor. Check out the video after the jump to see what we're rambling about. </p>

The redesigned Atenza (Mazda6 to those of us in the States) now comes in both a hatchback and sport wagon body styles, complete with either a 2.0-liter or a 2.5-liter four pot. Although there's some debate on whether or not these models will make it over to our shores, both will likely enjoy the same levels of popularity that the outgoing Atenza enjoyed at home.<br /><br />Mazda's full press release is available after the jump and you can check out a combination of live and press images of both models in the gallery below.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mazda-atenza-hatchback-and-sport-wagon/low/">Mazda Atenza Hatchback and Sport Wagon</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mazda-atenza-hatchback-and-sport-wagon/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/mazda_atenza_tokyo_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mazda-atenza-hatchback-and-sport-wagon/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/mazda_atenza_tokyo_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mazda-atenza-hatchback-and-sport-wagon/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/mazda_atenza_tokyo_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mazda-atenza-hatchback-and-sport-wagon/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/mazda_atenza_tokyo_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mazda-atenza-hatchback-and-sport-wagon/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/mazda_atenza_tokyo_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br /> <span style="font-weight: bold;">All live photos (C)2007 Damon Lavrinc / Weblogs, Inc. </span><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/24/tokyo-motor-show-mazda-atenza-hatchback-and-sport-wagon/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Tokyo Motor Show: Mazda Atenza hatchback and sport wagon</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/24/tokyo-motor-show-mazda-atenza-hatchback-and-sport-wagon/">Tokyo Motor Show: Mazda Atenza hatchback and sport wagon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 24 Oct 2007 10:05:00 EST. Perhaps it's better described as a "shooting brake." Whatevs, the lines of the Porsche 944 lend themselves shockingly well to wagonization. Our Dutch is nonexistent, but from what we can gather, this 1981 944 Turbo could be yours if you've got 25,000 Euros kicking around. Shipping it over to the US from Genk would assuredly feel longer and more agonizing than what a five-year old experiences watching the second hand march around the clock on December 24th. The condition is said to be showroom perfect, and indeed, even the seats look far less beaten than what we routinely see lurking inside 1980s Porsches offered on eBay. There's about 175 horsepower on tap from the 2-liter four cylinder, so while it looks much faster, hot rodded Volvo 240 Turbos might be showing you their taillights. <br /><br />This is the perfect Porsche for the folks with kids who don't want to join the lemmings in the Cayenne. Roughly 30 grand doesn't buy you a ton of exclusivity, either, but this Porsche Estate will definitely shut the mouths of those that feel the need to keep up with the Joneses. If you play around with the turbo boost settings, they'll have a tough time keeping up with you, too.<br /><br />Thanks for the tip, Paul<br /><br />[Source: eBay]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/porsche-wagon-on-ebay/low/">Porsche Wagon on eBay</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/porsche-wagon-on-ebay/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/12fa_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/porsche-wagon-on-ebay/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/134c_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/porsche-wagon-on-ebay/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/1398_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/porsche-wagon-on-ebay/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/13e5_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/porsche-wagon-on-ebay/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/1424_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/08/16/ebay-find-of-the-day-porsche-wagon/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>eBay Find Of The Day: Porsche Wagon</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/08/16/ebay-find-of-the-day-porsche-wagon/">eBay Find Of The Day: Porsche Wagon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 16 Aug 2007 17:01:00 EST. <p>Close your eyes and imagine working at AMG, Mercedes' own in-house tuning division that should by now be familiar to everyone. Now go back a decade and imagine being in Affalterbach then. As part of the AMG team, you've had your share of kicks developing monster engines and shoehorning them into otherwise ordinary luxury sedans, and now you've just developed an even crazier engine for the Pagani Zonda. You're looking at the supercar engine, and you're looking at a big ol' S-Class sedan. So tempting, if only someone would give you the budget to put the two together.</p>
<p>Enter stage left the Sultan of Brunei, a monarch with a penchant for crazy cars and the money to make them reality. So in you shoehorn the 7.3-liter DOHC 48-valve V12, all 565 horses worth, and create a monster of a super-sport-sedan. While you're at it, why not fit a special exhaust, brakes, suspension, wheels and full custom interior. Oh yeah, and just for kicks, why not make it a wagon while you're at it. The result: the cartoonishly sinister S73 T AMG.</p>
<p>The Sultan was reported to have originally ordered 15, then decreased the commission to 10 (the oil business must have been slow that year), and sources estimate that a total of 18 were built, with three remaining in AMG's custody. Suddenly the more recent idea of dropping a Lamborghini V10 into an Audi sedan doesn't seem quite so crazy, does it?</p>

Autocar reports that the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/01/amg-c63-450-hp-c-class-at-your-service/">C63</a> "has been designed from the ground up to make the best of the 6.3-liter engine." To do so, the C-Class Crusher will take elements from the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/04/new-york-auto-show-amg-clk63-black-edition/">CLK63 Black Series</a>, including portions of the car's front subframe. It will also get the Advanced Agility Package, which creates a "Sport" mode and supposedly the kind of backroad manners that Mercedes hasn't been known for. An exact horsepower number for the car has been hard to come by -- Mercedes wants to demonstrably outdo the competition, without intruding on the E63. Or that's been the story up to now. We reported earlier that the hp number would be 450, but Autocar says, <em>achtung!</em>, 500 bhp. That's only 7 shy of the much more expensive E63. If that's true, Mercedes will have to do something grand with it's middle-rung monster, which mean good times ahead. As for the C, with the new M3 to be offered as a wagon, you'll also have the option to get a hauler-version C63. Still, it's too bad that all versions will only come in automatic.</p>
<p><em>Thanks for the tip, PD</em></p>
