<br />
It's fitting that General Motors has a vehicle named after an astronomical phenomenon that marks the seasons. The first Equinox came from the "old" GM during the autumn of its long slide. Since then, the General has emerged from a government-funded chrysalis, and the Equinox has followed suit with a redesign. Hopefully, the freshening signifies a springtime in GM's fortunes; a future desperately in need of a green infusion of the cash variety. Its products need to not only compete - but exceed - what's available from the competition. That figures to be a tall order, because the opposition is in rare form.<br />
<br />
Just across town, Ford isn't sitting around - the Escape gets tweaks and updates seemingly every year. The Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 also crowd the top of the family CUV class, with the Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Santa Fe playing supporting roles. Into this company of A-students wades the Equinox, fresh from reform school. Have the model's rough edges and troublesome behavior been smoothed out enough by remedial study? <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/14/review-2010-chevrolet-equinox-sets-the-tone-for-new-gm/#continued">Follow the jump</a> to find out.<br />

<br />
Good news has been in short supply for General Motors so far this year, but increased demand for its new products shows that the worst of times may be in the rear view mirror. <em>Automotive News</em> is reporting that GM may increase production of four new vehicles due to heavy demand. The new-for-2010 <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/11/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-equinox/">Chevy Equinox</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/23/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-camaro/">Camaro</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/08/review-2010-cadillac-srx/">Cadillac SRX</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/16/first-drive-2010-buick-lacrosse-looks-to-breathe-life-into-old/">Buick LaCrosse</a> are reportedly under consideration. Equinox sales are so brisk (13,157 sales in August) that GM is considering adding production of the efficient crossover at a second plant. Expanding Equinox production could also happen if GM adds a third shift to its CAMI facility in Ontario.<br />
<br />
One reason for the potential production increases stems from this summer's Cash for Clunkers bonanza. Inventory is now so low for many vehicles that a bump in production is inevitable. GM spokesman Tom Wilkinson reportedly told AN that the company knew it would have to eventually bump production and that its new products have done the best job of outstripping demand. GM is likely hoping that these fresh faces are hot enough that a sustained production bump is necessary, which may mean that some laid off employees could be called back to work.<br />

<br />The Chevrolet Equinox has never really been a loser in the compact crossover segment, but it has also never really been a leader, either. It was always just kind of "okay," with milquetoast styling, so-so performance and reasonable roominess, but never anything really attention grabbing. Coming just a week after General Motors filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, Chevrolet General Manager Ed Peper officially introduced the all-new 2010 Chevy Equinox as the first product of the "New General Motors," and it's clear that the company hopes their new baby is able to grab a much larger share of this burgeoning segment.<br /> <br /> Among other things, the Equinox gets all new powertrains, including an available four-cylinder engine for the first time. Both the four and the new 3.0-liter V6 have direct fuel injection and are paired up with six-speed automatic transmissions. In fact, everything about the Equinox is new. Apparently the only major component carried over from the old model is the sunroof module. Everything else has been reworked or replaced. We had the opportunity to spend some seat time with both the four-cylinder and V6 models with front- and all-wheel drive. Find out if the Equinox finally has what it takes to be more than just competitive after the jump.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/">First Drive: 2010 Chevrolet Equinox</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/2010equinoxfd002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/2010equinoxfd003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/2010equinoxfd000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/2010equinoxfd001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/2010equinoxfd004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Sam Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/11/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-equinox/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>First Drive: 2010 Chevrolet Equinox ushers in New GM era</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/11/first-drive-2010-chevrolet-equinox/">First Drive: 2010 Chevrolet Equinox ushers in New GM era</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 11 Jun 2009 11:57:00 EST. The Vue plug-in was originally going to arrive in 2011 in a cooperative demonstration test fleet with the U.S. Dept. of Energy (DOE) and nonprofit Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Vice Chairman and former head of GM Powertrain Tom Stephens explained on the GM Fast Lane<em> </em>blog that while Saturn won't get plug-in tech, one of the four remaining brands will.<br /><br />Stephens won't spill the beans with regards to which brand or vehicle will utilize plug power, but he did specify that the 2011 timing will not be effected. Bob Lutz's replacement is looking forward to speculation as to which brand and vehicle would be used, so we don't want to disappoint. Since the original time frame of the Vue plug-in launch is unchanged, we're guessing that either the Chevy Equinox or Cadillac SRX would be suitable replacement vehicles, since the three vehicles share a similar platform. Stephens also said that the Volt and the unspecified plug-in are but two of 12 hybrid and electric vehicles that GM plans to introduce by 2012.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://fastlane.gmblogs.com/archives/2009/05/plug-in_hybrid_technology_will_be_applied_to_one_of_gm%E2%80%99s_four_core_brands.html">GM Fast Lane blog</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/06/gm-pledges-to-use-plug-in-hybrid-tech-in-only-one-brand/">GM pledges to use plug-in hybrid tech in only one brand</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 06 May 2009 09:26:00 EST. <br />While GMC's new-for-2010 Terrain crossover may be all but identical to <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/11/detroit-2009-the-2010-chevy-equinox-w-video/">Chevrolet's Equinox</a>, one look at this bluff-faced polarizing design will tell you that badge-engineering wasn't part of the program at General Motors. Yes, both vehicles share the same platform, the same engine choices and even the same suspension calibrations, but the in-your-face look here is likely to inspire love-it-or-hate-it reactions. We'll let you decide on which side of the fence you sit, with one caveat: It is often the case that certain cars look better in the metal than on screen or in photographs. We were invited to GM's Design Dome for a media backgrounder, and after being in-and-around the vehicle, we profess that we can't make the same case.<br /><br />Controversial aesthetics aside, the 2010 Terrain looks to have the goods, including a new 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine on the base model that delivers 182 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Like its Chevy stablemate, this model is tipped to deliver 30 miles-per-gallon on the highway, a very handsome figure for this class. Interestingly, the four-banger features noise-canceling technology to mute undesirable sound characteristics and a driver-selectable Eco button that remaps the throttle responses, shift patterns and torque converter lockup speed to improve fuel economy. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/05/embargo-4-6-09-12-01am-est-new-york-2010-gmc-terrain-ready-to/">Click through to the jump</a> for more details and the official press release.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain/low/">2010 GMC Terrain</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/04-2010-gm-terrain_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/06-2010-gm-terrain_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/07-2010-gm-terrain_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/08-2010-gm-terrain_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/09-2010-gm-terrain_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain-live-1/low/">2010 GMC Terrain Live</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain-live-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/gmc-terrain-backgrounder-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain-live-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/gmc-terrain-backgrounder-02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain-live-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/gmc-terrain-backgrounder-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain-live-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/gmc-terrain-backgrounder-04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-gmc-terrain-live-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/gmc-terrain-backgrounder-05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><strong><small>Photos copyright (C)2009 Chris Paukert</small><small> / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/05/embargo-4-6-09-12-01am-est-new-york-2010-gmc-terrain-ready-to/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New York Preview: 2010 GMC Terrain prepares to polarize</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/05/embargo-4-6-09-12-01am-est-new-york-2010-gmc-terrain-ready-to/">New York Preview: 2010 GMC Terrain prepares to polarize</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 05 Apr 2009 00:01:00 EST. <br />Chevrolet has just announced pricing on its new-for-2010 Equinox crossover, and it will carry an MSRP of $23,185 (including $745 destination), a handy $1,800 less than the outgoing model.<br /><br />That $23k and change will net you the base front-wheel drive LS model with the 2.4-liter, direct-injection Ecotec four-cylinder. The 182 horsepower engine is pegged to deliver 30 miles-per-gallon on the highway (the same figure quoted for its <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/24/twitter-embargo-leak-2010-gmc-terrain-to-achieve-30-mpg-highway/">GMC Terrain</a> sibling) and a further 21 mpg in the city, while the pricier 3.0-liter direct-injected V6 will yield 264 horsepower in exchange for more fuel (18 city/25 highway). All wheel drive is available, although full model and option pricing has not yet been released. Expect to see new Equinox models hitting your local dealership forecourts in June, but for now, check out the press release after the jump and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/11/detroit-2009-the-2010-chevy-equinox-w-video/">click here</a> for more info from the trucklet's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Detroit-Auto-Show/">Detroit Auto Show</a> debut.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/">Detroit 2009: 2010 Chevrolet Equinox</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/2010chevyequinox---01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/2010chevyequinox---02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/2010chevyequinox---03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/2010chevyequinox---04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-2010-chevrolet-equinox/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/2010chevyequinox---05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: General Motors]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/02/2010-chevy-equinox-priced-1-800-less-than-2009-model/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>2010 Chevy Equinox priced $1,800 less than 2009 model</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/02/2010-chevy-equinox-priced-1-800-less-than-2009-model/">2010 Chevy Equinox priced $1,800 less than 2009 model</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 02 Apr 2009 15:40:00 EST. <br />Judging by the looks of this prototype, plans for a GMC version of General Motors' updated Theta platform are almost ready for prime-time. <br /><br />Essentially the replacement for the Pontiac Torrent, this cladded-up GMC Terrain prototype reveals a masculine, blocky exterior with good differentiation between it and the forthcoming <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/11/detroit-2009-the-2010-chevy-equinox-w-video/">Chevrolet Equinox</a> successor. A large, quadrangular shield grille stands proud while the blocky bumperette-style outcroppings in the corners give the crossover a bluff looking front end in a bid to reinforce GMC's image as a truck brand. In profile, the crossover has strong, squared-off wheel arches and flares that alleviate its otherwise slab sides, and the rear tailgate area cribs its cues from the SUV playbook, including an upright rear window, matte lower cladding and large, high-set taillamps.<br /><br />Like its platform-mate from Chevrolet, we expect to see the Terrain debut with a 2.4-liter Ecotec direct-injection four-cylinder (good for 182 horsepower and an EPA-pending fuel economy rating of 21 city miles-per-gallon city and 30 on the highway ), as well as a 3.0-liter direct-injection six-cylinder good for 255 hp and estimated 18/25 mpg.<br /><br />Our spies at KGP Photography note that the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Chicago-Auto-Show/">Chicago Auto Show</a> has been a common unveiling point for GMC in the past, and judging by the finished look of this tester, a rollout in The City of Big Shoulders seems quite likely.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gmc-terrain-spy-shots/low/">GMC Terrain - spy shots</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gmc-terrain-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/gmc.terrain.m1.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gmc-terrain-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/gmc.terrain.m2.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gmc-terrain-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/gmc.terrain.m3.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gmc-terrain-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/gmc.terrain.m4.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gmc-terrain-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/gmc.terrain.m5.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Photos: KGP Photography]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/21/spy-shots-gmc-terrain-spotted-looking-all-but-production-ready/">Spy Shots: GMC Terrain spotted looking all but production-ready</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 21 Jan 2009 13:27:00 EST. The Chevrolet Malibu SS comes to mind (along with many others), but GM says "No more!" having over-diluted the SS label.</p>
<p>According to global design VP Ed Welburn, "Not every car that has some extra features and fancy racing stripes can be an SS". </p>
<p>Witness the new Equinox Sport, whose lack of an extra "S" on the label seemed conspicuous when we <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/14/2008-chevy-equinox-sport-one-s-shy-of-ss/">reported on its debut</a> just days ago. Although it's packing a throaty 263-hp V6, Chevy evidently wanted not to over-sell it and over-use the SS label, and so they didn't. (The thought that they could bolt on s supercharger or shoe-in a V8 for a future SS is mouthwatering, though pure speculation at this point.)</p>
<p>We just hope the Equinox Sport (and other modestly-named performance models) will be met in the marketplace with enthusiasm, because this is the kind of integrity we could stand to see more of from manufacturers. </p>

Therefore, we've been eager to learn more info about high performance versions the General has in the works. The Equinox one will be badged as an SS model, while the Torrent's will be either a GT or GXP. Both models sport larger wheel/tire combos that look neatly tucked in their wheel wells thanks to a lowered suspension. Each ute's front fascia will also be modified with additional air intakes that butch up their rather boring mugs. What we're really interested in is the powerplant that GM has decided to stuff into these two vehicles. Replacing the rather weak 3.4-liter V6 that produces 185 horsepower in the Equinox and Torrent will be GM's high-tech 3.6-liter V6 producing 275 horsepower. That's a big bump of 90 horsepower that will surely change the flavor of these Thetas. <br /><br />[Source: Cheers and Gears]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/12/spy-shots-gms-super-thetas-from-chevy-and-pontiac/">Spy Shots: GM's super Thetas from Chevy and Pontiac</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 12 Nov 2006 15:17:00 EST. Gen. Roger A. Nadeau (above), commander of the US Army's <a href="http://www.rdecom.army.mil/index.html">Research, Development and Engineering Command</a>, was on hand to accept the keys from GM's Larry Burns and Senators Carl Levin (D-MI) and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI). <br /><br /><img width="200" vspace="4" hspace="4" height="300" border="1" align="right" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2006/09/army_fuelcell2.jpg" id="vimage_2" alt="The Army's FCV Equinox" />The fuel-cell Equinox will be used for general transportation duties on bases in Virginia and California, and will afford the military additional real-world experience regarding FCV operation, maintenance and logistics. The Army and GM have a history of woking together with FCVs, the most recent example being the <a href="http://www4.army.mil/ocpa/print.php?story_id_key=7144">Silverado Fuel Cell Truck</a> y into service last year. <br /><br />In a somewhat humorous aside, the joint press release issued by GM, the Army, and Senator Levin's office notes that the Equinox will be used for "non-tactical" purposes. Hello? It's an <em>Equinox</em> alternative-fuel vehicle. Saying that it's not intended for tactical use is akin to taking out an ad in the newspaper to tell readers the sky is blue. <br /><br />It's also apparent that not all the Project Driveway FCVs have the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/09/18/project-driveway-gm-launches-largest-ever-fuel-cell-fleet/">new-look face</a> seen on the press photos released last week by GM. The Army's machine (right) has the enlarged grille opening and added intakes in the front bumper, but it's obviously a variation on the old Equinox front end. Looks like a facelift may be on the horizon.<br /><br />(Press release after the jump)<br /><br />[Source: GM]</font><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/09/22/army-takes-delivery-of-equinox-fcv-as-project-driveway-kicks-off/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Army takes delivery of Equinox FCV as Project Driveway kicks off</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/09/22/army-takes-delivery-of-equinox-fcv-as-project-driveway-kicks-off/">Army takes delivery of Equinox FCV as Project Driveway kicks off</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 22 Sep 2006 14:02:00 EST. <p>General Motors yesterday unveiled plans for "Project Driveway", a field market research project that will place 100 hydrogen-powered fuel-cell vehicles with customers across the United States. A diverse cross-section of customers with varied driving environments will be chosen to participate in California, New York and DC, with a target for delivery in fall 2007. </p>
<p>The fuel-cell vehicles are based on the Chevy Equinox crossover, and aside from the alternative powertrain, include all the usual features. </p>
<p>Hydrogen power is a significant development in that its only emissions are given off in the form of pure water. One significant problem this poses in cold-weather climates is that the "exhaust water" freezes, making this solution a bit problematic when the thermometer dips below freezing. But GM claims that its Equinox Fuel Cell vehicle will operate in cold climates. The development, manufacturing and testing of the vehicles is taking place at three GM facilities in the Canadian province of Ontario, so they had better work or they'll never make it out of the factory.</p>

The automaker says it's planning some compact crossovers for the global market to be produced in Thailand, Mexico or India, and will market the vehicles under the Chevy, Saturn, Opel, and maybe even GMC and HUMMER brands. The vehicles, based on a shortened version of the platform under the Saturn Vue (pictured) and Chevy Equinox, should hit the market sometime in 2009.</p>

He snapped these spy shots of a lightly camouflaged Equinox with his Treo. It hardly appears as if any modifications have been made to the front and rear that are under wraps, but Stein notes that nearly all badging had been covered with tape, including on the wheel caps, and this Equinox was wearing big five-spoke rims that resemble the six-spoke ones on the Trailblazer SS. Could an Equinox SS be in the works? We think it's certainly possible as the SS moniker has been liberally applied across Chevy's lineup, although these shots don't provide much proof either way.<br /><br />[Source: How Bourgeois]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/05/23/equinox-ss-in-the-works/">Equinox SS in the works?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 23 May 2006 11:06:00 EST.
