VIDEO: Top Gear Outtakes

Do you like outtake reels? Who doesn't! Do you like Top Gear? Well, if you're the kind of person who reads Autoblog, then chances are you do. In that case, have we got the video for you!

After the jump you'll find six minutes' worth of your favorite telemotive personalities (that's right, we just made up a word) fumbling over their lines, making each other laugh and cursing like longshoremen. Oh yeah, and plenty of breasts, 'cause what would a British men's "programme" be without that? Follow the jump to check out the Top Gear Boobers Bloopers video.

NSFW: If you work in a puritanical office environment, well... sorry for you, but you might want to wait 'till you get home to watch the video on account of the cleavage and bleeped-out naughty words.

Top Gear premier with Hammond crash breaks record

As many of you know, the first episode of Top Gear's ninth season debuted last Sunday. At the end of the show, Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond debut for the first time ever video of the jet car crash that almost killed Hammond. You can check out that clip of the show after the jump, as well as view an incredibly detail rich analysis of the crash in computer animation here.

We all knew anticipation of the show's premier was high, but not many expected an average audience of 7.9 million viewers with a spike peaking at 8.6 million viewers near the finale of the show. Those figures easily beat Top Gear's previous record of 5.3 million viewers set last season, and it was enough to make the episode the most watched show in Britain last Sunday, beating the finale of Celebrity Big Brother. For comparison's sake, the reigning most-watched show in U.S. history is the final episode of M*A*S*H, which was watched by about 106 million Americans. Last year's Super Bowl in which the Steelers beat the Sea Hawks was watched by 90.7 million people. The most watched episode in the U.K. of all time is an episode of the EastEnders in which Den divorces Angie. While the premier episode of Top Gear doesn't break into the U.K.'s top ten most watched episodes, it was nevertheless a remarkable and interesting night of television.

Ford Bold Moves - Episode 13: Close to the Edge

The Ford Bold Moves web-based documentary reaches lucky number 13 today and focuses it's power over audio and video on the upcoming Ford Edge. "This launch is absolutely crucial," says Mark Fields in the episode, and we couldn't agree with him more. I say as much in an accompanying piece on the website you can read right here. With the Accelerated Way Forward plan now on the table, the stakes are even greater for a good launch of the Edge. By the time Mark Fields stands before us at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show in January we'll find out whether or not Ford's been successful and if the Edge is resonating with consumers. For Ford's sake, we wish 'em luck.

Ford Bold Moves, Episode 12: Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday

Episode 12 of the Ford Bold Moves web-based documentary is live online and it focuses on Ford's history in racing. One interesting fact it reveals is that Ford Racing celebrated its 100th anniversary 18th months prior to Ford Motor Company's big centennial blow out, because in 1901 Henry Ford beat Alexander Winton in a race held at a Grosse Pointe racetrack. Ford sold the car he used, the trophy he won and solicited some venture capitalists in the stands that day to start Ford Motor Company.

The main message of Episode 12 as it pertains to racing is that Ford doesn't plan on leaving the track anytime soon. Not only does racing offer opportunities for trickle down technology in the areas of performance and safety, but is there any better marketing for Ford than seeing a Blue Oval cross a checkered line?
