Good news for American fans of electric motorcycle racing. The TTXGP series has announced its calender for the 2012 season and it looks awesome. World-Championship-at-Daytona kind of awesome. And that's on top of a four-event season that includes a repeat of last year's most excellent joint round with the FIM e-Power series at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
E Power International Championship
Matthias Himmelmann of Münch Racing dominated the second joint event held by the TTXGP and FIM ePower electric motorcycle racing series to take the top spot on the podium. The win at the famed Le Mans circuit makes the German team both the TTXGP Euro and FIM ePower champions for 2011.
After flirting with the idea of teaming up with the TTXGP after the inaugural Isle of Man event last summer, the FIM (that's the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme in everyday English French) decided instead to go it alone and hold it's own stinkin' electric motorcycle road racing series.
