<br />
Remember the <a href="http://www.lamborghinimiami.com/sharpie_car.htm">Sharpie Lamborghini Gallardo</a> from 2007? A <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/chevrolet/camaro">Chevrolet Camaro</a> has been given a similar treatment courtesy of Maryland-based professional pinstriper <a href="http://www.pinheadlounge.com/cruizin4customs/page/1">Chris Dunlop</a>. Stepping away from his cans of paint and fine brushes, Dunlop has created two magnificently detailed Sharpie tapestries where the original pinstripes would have been.<br />
<br />
According to LSX TV, Dunlop says this Camaro is the fourth car he's decorated like this, and others have followed. Ten pens gave their lives to the cause of art, as well as a few layers of clearcoat to make sure the ink remains permanent. If you happen to think you could do this at home to your own ride, have a look at the detail shots in the gallery - a Sharpie isn't just a marker in Dunlop's hands.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/10/17/artist-createst-indelible-camaro-graphics-with-sharpie-markers/">Artist createst indelible Camaro graphics with Sharpie markers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 17 Oct 2011 13:00:00 EST. <br />
The <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/06/27/toyota-to-celebrate-rally-heritage-at-goodwood/">Goodwood Festival of Speed </a>is upon us, and that means plenty of racing, loads of beautiful cars and perhaps unannounced sneak-peaks of future models. Problem is, many of us won't be in West Sussex, England this weekend (don't worry, we're already there). Dunlop's Inside Racing site recognizes this and has set up a live video feed of many of the events at Goodwood. Beyond the live feed Dunlop also provides an opportunity to submit questions to the team, along with <a href="http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=131628826853117&amp;v=wall">Facebook</a> and <a href="http://twitter.com/DunlopLive">Twitter</a> sites so you can keep up on all the action. Dunlop has also archived some of the best interviews and footage if the live action isn't exciting enough.<br />
<br />
Head over to <a href="http://www.insideracinglive.com/#InsideRacingLive">Inside Racing Live</a> to catch a glimpse of what's going on across the pond and stay tuned to Autoblog for a raft of posts and pics from our very own Drew Phillips. <br />

<br />A little over two years ago <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/09/03/crazy-fast-kiwi-steve-millen-preps-a-ford-gt-for-new-zealand-ro/">we had the chance to spend some time at the track</a> with Steve Millen and his race-prepped Ford GT before the team embarked on its fifth excursion to New Zealand to run in the Targa Rally.<br /><br />Last year, the team wasn't able to compete due to health issues with a member of the Stillen consortium, but this year they're back and the orange GT is meaner than ever.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt-08-prep/1034200/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" align="right" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/08_stillen_gt_08_prep_250op.jpg" /></a>For the 2006 campaign, Stillen built up the Ford GT in a few months, equipping the mid-engine supercar with a performance exhaust, catalytic converter delete pipes, AP Racing front brakes, Penske shocks, a full cage and MOMO racing seats and harnesses. This year, they've tweaked the suspension, upgraded the brakes front and rear, added a set of Nordskog gauges and a GPS speedometer, along with pulling a few more ponies out of the supercharged 5.4-liter V8 and sending the additional grunt through an AP Racing clutch and a lower final drive ratio. <br /><br />The Stillen Ford GT will battle it with everything from Evos to Porsches over 38 stages run on closed public roads, and according to Millen's navigator, they'll be providing updates throughout the race.<br /><br />Check out the <a href="http://blog.stillen.com/2008/09/stillen-ford-gt-to-compete-in-2008-dunlop-targa-rally/">Stillen website</a> for more, and be sure to peruse both our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt/1034175/">original gallery of the GT testing at Willow Springs</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt-08-prep/1034192/">these latest images</a>, courtesy of Stillen.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt">Stillen Ford GT</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/01_drew_stillen_gt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/02_drew_stillen_gt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/03_drew_stillen_gt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/04_drew_stillen_gt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/05_drew_stillen_gt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt-08-prep">Stillen Ford GT '08 Prep</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt-08-prep/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/01_stillen_gt_08_prep_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt-08-prep/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/02_stillen_gt_08_prep_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt-08-prep/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/03_stillen_gt_08_prep_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt-08-prep/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/04_stillen_gt_08_prep_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/stillen-ford-gt-08-prep/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/05_stillen_gt_08_prep_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br /><strong><em><small>Photos Copyright (C)2008 <a href="http://drewphillipsphotography.com/">Drew Phillips</a> / Weblogs, Inc.</small></em></strong><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/12/steven-millen-and-his-ford-gt-ready-to-run-in-dunlop-targa-rally/">Steven Millen and his Ford GT ready to run in Dunlop Targa Rally</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 12 Sep 2008 19:28:00 EST. The odd-looking invention pairs a replaceable outer rubber layer with a central alloy hub joined by polyurethane ribs. Judging by this video, it would appear that the tire manufacturer is continuing to develop its concept, testing it on a variety of vehicles in a number of different environments. <p>Goodyear Tire &amp; Rubber has announced plans to slash 1,500 jobs in an effort to save $50 million dollars. The
world's largest tire company will reach those goals in part by shuttering plants in Britain and Poland. </p>
<p>Part of its restructuring efforts that began last September, the manufacturer will jettison 585 employees at its UK
Goodyear Dunlop facility in Washington, and a smaller outpost in Wolverhampton will shed around 40 employees, leaving
about 450 workers.</p>
<p>Additionally, Goodyear's Debica, Poland plant will stop making bicycle tires and inner tubes, pink-slipping 360
employees. </p>
<p>The rubber giant says that it expects to incur charges of around $105-115 million USD in the process of exacting
the changes.</p>

<font size="2">
<p>Prod the S4's loud pedal, and chicks and geese and ducks better scurry. With apologies to <a
href="http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/oklahoma/thesurreywiththefringeontop.htm">Messieurs Rogers and Hammerstein</a>,
Audi's 4.2-liter V8-motivated surrey offers a soundtrack that borders on automotive pornography. Fortunately, with
340-horsepower and 302 lb-ft of twist routed to the ground via Quattro all-wheel-drive,&nbsp;it possesses the
drivetrain bite to match its soulful bark.</p>
<p>While not apoplectically quick (0-60 mph in around 5.5 seconds), the S4 revealed itself as a prodigiously talented
all-rounder over the course of our weeklong test. Many cars in its class impress with vulgar displays of power but
struggle to put their gumption to the ground consistently and efficiently (Cadillac's CTS-V and Benz's C55 AMG
come to mind). Not so with the S4, which is the equivalent of a four-wheeled Sanford Sharpie pen, adhering faithfully
to whatever surface passes 'neath its 18" Dunlop Sport SP Maxx tires. Whether the S4 is scribbling its signature
on the interstate or autographing a set of undulating twisties in black silica, it leaves with a sound and fury
signifying everything.</p>
