Devastator, a massive Decepticon made out of five, or six, or seven Constructicons, depending on which source you cite, will be in Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. In the oddest case of reasoning we can imagine, he's said to have "massive upper body strength, like a gorilla." Devastator is a simpleton with one mission: heavy metal whoopass. But he's pretty easy to trip up since he's not so smart, which could be what the gorilla comment is about. Nevertheless, when upright, he's pretty good at what he does: his signature line is "Nothing defeats the Devastator. Nothing!" For the Autobots and humans, that'll probably mean a beating or two before they save the day. For us, that means yee-haw!

If leaked documentation, which you should avoid if you don't want to read any plot spoilers, regarding the upcoming Transformers sequel is accurate, it appears that Mr. Bay may be bringing a motorcycle-based female robot to the big screen. We've heard that the character known as Arcee was considered for the initial film but was discarded so as not to confuse the audience with multiple gendered robots. If the rendering seen above is any indication, though, we'd imagine that Arcee's pinky-purple coloring would get that point across right away. There are two female riders listed on a leaked Call Sheet for the upcoming movie, and it appears that they are to be riding the oddly-colored Buell in the film.

Also revealed in the leak is information that leads us to believe that a certain Decepticon may make an appearance as an SR-71, along with what could either be the shapely Audi R8 or the mystery car we showed you yesterday. If the German supercar did show up, it would end the all-GM lovefest and be rather interesting to see morph on-screen, as well. Consider our interest piqued, as if we already weren't.

Saleen is still celebrating its high-profile involvement with the summer blockbuster Transformers movie, the highlight of which for us was seeing the Decepticon Barricade, a Saleen S281 Extreme, throw down with Bumblebee, a Chevy Camaro Concept. As cool as the S281 Extreme is, its all spark will be snuffed out soon to make way for a new model from Saleen bearing the code name S302 Extreme. The S302 Extreme is so named for its 302 cubic-inch motor with which we originally made our acquaintance in the Saleen Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang. In the S302 Extreme, however, the PJ mill gains a supercharger, which Saleen claims will increase horsepower to well over 600. It doesn't appear Saleen's most powerful Mustang will transform in any other ways for the 2008 model year, so while it may look exactly like the S281 Extreme it's replacing, in this case, there really is more to the 2008 S302 Extreme than meets the eye.

We can't even try to hide our excitement over the upcoming Transformer movie, so we're just going to keep showing you every new clip we can find. So far from what we can tell, Transformers is shaping up to be something along the lines of Independence Day meets Terminator meets Johnny Five. This time, we get a glimpse of what good-guy Autobot Bumblebee sounds like in an all-new small school trailer. It isn't much but hey, we're excited. One reason we're so geeked about the upcoming live action Transformers movie that's scheduled to open on July 4th, 2007, is that we will see the familiar battle of Ford vs. Chevy in a most unfamiliar way. Watching the two brands battle it out in the marketplace is a bore. In the Transformers movie, however, we'll hopefully see a giant mechanized Camaro robot square off against a giant mechanized Mustang. Now that's a true comparison test.

We know the Camaro will be played by Bumblebee, the affable ex-Volkswagen Bug that counts himself among the Transformer's do-goody fold. The Mustang, however, will be played by Barricade, an evil Decepticon (gee, wonder who paid more for product placement) with the message "To punish and enslave" tattoed on his fender/shoulder. We've seen images of Bumblebee plenty of times, but the affable little guy will likely cower behind the prodigious calf muscles of Optimus Primes when he gets a good look at Barricade, the baddest (and only) muscle car/evil robot the world has ever known. A sketch of Barricade was released on the internet today that gives us our first glimpse of the menacing Mustang in ass-kicking robot mode. Let's just say the first batch of Camaro vs. Mustang head-to-head comparos in the buff books a couple years from now won't be quite as impressive after seeing this movie.

The upcoming live-action Transformers movie will feature a matchup with which most Autoblog readers are intimately familiar: Camaro versus Mustang. A bright orange Chevy Camaro Concept that's more than meets the eye will play the good-natured Transformer named Bumblebee, which has traditionally been portrayed by the Volkswagen Beetle. Meanwhile, a Decepticon named Brawl that reportedly "jacks-up poor Bumblebee" is being played by the Ford Mustang.  

We're certain Transformers purists will cry foul at the ousting of VW's bug in favor of the more sensational Camaro Concept. We're also certain that Chevy must've transformed a good chunk of change into thin air to get this prime product placement.
