Skoda's second- and third-ever production compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles aren't exactly speed burners, but they are efficient. The Czech automaker, which is owned by Volkswagen, will introduce its Octavia G-TEC and Octavia Combi G-TEC models to most of Europe next month. Skoda's first CNG model was the Citigo, which debuted in 2012.

If you recently ordered a Porsche Cayenne or a Panamera, delivery may take a little longer than originally expected. Automotive News reports that production of both models has been temporarily halted at the Porsche assembly plant in Leipzig, Germany as the result of supply shortages caused by flooding in the nearby Czech Republic. Radio Prague reported Monday that Hyundai has agreed with the Czech Republic on a plan to invest up to $1.2 billion towards a new factory in Nosovice. The deal was confirmed by Hyundai Motor VP In-Seo Kim, and marks the end of a protracted negotiation for the site of the automaker's first European factory.
