Veni, vidi, vici. If electric motorcycles could talk, that's just what the Energica Ego would be saying to itself as it makes its way back to its Italian birthplace. As foretold, the "Where is my Ego" tour brought several bikes to our shores, along with a few company officials, crossing the land and making promotional stops in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York areas. The hearts of pretty much all the moto-journalists who rode the Italian machine were conquered in the process.
Crp Energica Ego
The Energica Ego is the awesome Italian electric sports bike that we've been dying to see stateside since the concept was first revealed at the Milan International Motorcycle Show (EICMA) back in 2011. Thankfully, that's about to happen as the company's "Where is My Ego" tour brings bikes across the Atlantic for prospective buyers and the curious to try for themselves.
The production version of the CRP Energica Ego will be introduced to the world at the upcoming 2014 EICMA. Ahead of that reveal, the company brought a small group of motorcycle journalists to Volterra, Italy for an exclusive preview of the drivetrain as it sits in a prototype. Unveiled at last year's EICMA, this platform has allowed the CRP crew to refine their creation into a world-class bike that could nicely slot in between the Brammo Empulse and the Mission R.
