<br />
Okay, so it wasn't a championship-level international stage, but just the same, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/kimiraikkonen">Kimi Raikkonen</a> has won his first rally. The event in question, called Rallye Vosgien, forms part of the French national series, and was contested by Kimi's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/citroen">Citro&euml;n</a> Junior Team as practice ahead of the WRC Rally of France. <br />
<br />
The former F1 world champion and his co-pilot, Kaj Lindstrom, took their Citro&euml;n C4 to the finish line over three minutes ahead of the nearest competitor, Quentin Gilbert, driving a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/renault">Renault</a> Clio Maxi. Given the similar conditions - and that Citro&euml;n Junior Team had used up all its allotted test time - Vosgien proved an ideal warm-up to the main event set to take place at the end of the month.<br />

<br />
You'd think a term like "all new" would be fairly absolute. But not when it comes to new cars. Take the new <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/citroen">Citro&euml;n</a> C4, for example. The French automaker calls it "all new". But it's still based on the platform of the outgoing model. That said, the sheetmetal is fresh, the dimensions have grown some and the hatch is packed with all manner of gizmos, solidifying the chevron brand's place as a technological powerhouse.<br />
<br />
What sort of tech are we talking about? How about adaptive headlights, lane departure and blind-spot warning systems, user-changeable backlighting in the cabin (along with ringtone-style chimes and alerts) and a new system called eTouch which monitors driving patterns and offers suggestions on how to improve fuel economy. Engine options will likely remain the same, with the addition of the new e-HDi hybrid diesel/electric drivetrain, and we'll be looking for the new C4 to debut in <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/paris-motor-show/">Paris</a> this Fall before sales begin overseas early next year. <br />
<br />
The three-door model isn't expected to continue into the new generation, leaving the five-door to go it alone against the likes of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/ford/focus">Ford Focus</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/volkswagen/golf">Volkswagen Golf</a>. The <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/03/geneva-2010-citroen-ds-high-rider-rides-in-on-its-high-horse/">DS4</a> is expected to be based on this model, but as a crossover it'll be further differentiated than the narrow gap between the smaller <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/30/officially-official-2010-citroen-c3-is-here/">C3</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/24/citroen-releases-production-ds3-ahead-of-frankfurt-debut/">DS3</a> hatchbacks. Details in the press release after the jump, with initial images in the gallery below.<br />

<br /> Oh, my. Talk about a moment filled with more <em>chutzpah</em> than skill. In this short but nonetheless heart-pounding video, Russian rally driver <span class="text"><span class="description">Evgeny Novikov takes a jump at full tilt and nearly backflips his Citro&euml;n C4. The close-but-no-crash incident happened during this past weekend's Rally Finland. While we're all for maximum hoonage, this is almost too close for comfort. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for a high-res gallery of the 2010 New Look Citroen C4 and robot</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />We often wonder why French wine, fashion and architecture make total sense to us, yet French commercials often make us go "Um, ok, all right...." Citroen's C4 dancing robot first appeared <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2004/11/17/citroen-c4-commercial-get-down-with-your-optimus-prime-self/">back in 2004</a> -- well before Optimus Prime and crew teamed up with film director Michael Bay -- and since then he's done four more commercials to showcase the car that is "alive with technology."<br /><br />With this latest clip, make that "staying alive with technology." Roaming the streets of New York, he's kitted out in chrome teeth and a glitter beret, jiving out to the Bee Gees while he performs style checks in any mirrored surface and poses for pictures. We have to admit his dance moves are hot, but Ironhide would probably shoot him if given the chance. <br /><br />As for his alter ego, the New Look Citroen C4, it gets a grille, curvier hood and headlight treatment to match the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/18/citroen-unveils-new-c5/">C5</a>. In back, transparent crystal taillamps replace the previous units. Inside, Citroen's latest NaviDrive has a 7-inch translucent screen pre-programmed for all of Europe. Two new engines, developed with BMW, will provide the car with 120 hp or 150 hp. Most intriguing, the car comes with an integrated, scented air freshener -- because all that dancing can make a robot sweat. Watch the new commercial for yourself after the jump.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-look-citroen-c4-and-robot">New Look Citroen C4 and Robot</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-look-citroen-c4-and-robot/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/new_citroen_c4_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-look-citroen-c4-and-robot/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/new_citroen_c4_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-look-citroen-c4-and-robot/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/new_citroen_c4_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-look-citroen-c4-and-robot/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/new_citroen_c4_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-look-citroen-c4-and-robot/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/new_citroen_c4_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RBHr7SkBV0">YouTube</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/18/video-new-citroen-c4-actually-a-dancing-robot/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: New Citroen C4 actually a dancing robot</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/18/video-new-citroen-c4-actually-a-dancing-robot/">VIDEO: New Citroen C4 actually a dancing robot</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 18 Sep 2008 15:59:00 EST. Renault recently launched its BioEthanol Megane hatchback, and now Citro&euml;n has unveiled is entry, the C4 BioFlex, which will go on sale in France next month. When it arrives, the stylish 5-door will be priced identically to its gasoline-only stablemates and will benefit from the same trim levels, as well.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/citroen-c4-bioflex/360248/"><img width="250" vspace="4" hspace="4" height="224" border="1" align="right" alt="Citroen C4 BioFlex" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/c4bioflex_lead2.jpg" /></a>Since Citro&euml;n already sells flex-fuel vehicles in Brazil, it didn't have to go to great lengths to source the powerplant in the C4 BioFlex. The 1.6L engine is imported from the Ethanol-happy South American country and makes 110 horsepower and 112 lb-ft of torque when run on E85 compared to 107 HP/108 lb-ft on gasoline. Performance when driven on gasoline only is said to be no different than what's experienced in the C4 1.6i 16V petrol-engined car. As is the case with other flexible-fuel vehicles, the C4 BioFlex can be operated on any fuel blend containing up to 85% Ethanol. It does consume more fuel than the gas-only car (24 mpg vs. 33 mpg), but Citro&euml;n claims that it's ultimately cheaper to run because of the price difference between E85 and gasoline. <br /><br />Pricing has been set at &euro;18,650 for the Pack trim, &euro;20,000 for the Ambiance trim, and &euro;22,140 for the Exclusive model.<br /><br />[Source: Citro&euml;n]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/citroen-c4-bioflex">Citroen C4 BioFlex</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/citroen-c4-bioflex/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/c4bioflex_hi_001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/citroen-c4-bioflex/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/c4bioflex_hi_002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/citroen-c4-bioflex/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/c4bioflex_hi_003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/citroen-c4-bioflex/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/c4bioflex_hi_004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/citroen-c4-bioflex/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/c4bioflex_hi_005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/08/20/citroen-introducing-c4-bioflex-in-europe/">Citroën introducing C4 BioFlex in Europe</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 20 Aug 2007 16:31:00 EST. <font size="2">
<p>China loves its sedans. The exploding market favors the three-box shape to the tune of 80-percent market share, so
it isn't surprising that Citroen has grafted a trunk to its <a href="http://www.citroen.co.uk/c4/">C4</a> in order to
curry favor. </p>
<p>As seen here, the C-Triomphe is a lengthened C4 with the wheelbase extended, lending the car a much more formal
look than the dynamic coupe and five-door bodystyles already in circulation. Production commences this summer at the
automaker's local plant in Wuhan, built in 1997.</p>
<p>Citroen enjoyed sales of 100,000 units in China last year, a 34-percent increase. But the upside to China is
startling-- in 2001, all of China purchased 717,000 cars. In 2005? 3,300,0000-- so needless to say, the French carmaker
can't graft those boots on fast enough.</p>
