Aston Martin has finally put a U.S.-approved sticker onto the V12 Vantage, and if you're aching to get into the 510 horsepower coupe, you'll need to set aside $179,995 for the "base" model.

Included in the kit is the DB9-sourced V12 powerplant putting out the aforementioned 510 ponies and 420 pound-feet of torque, capable of scooting the svelte coupe to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 190 mph.

If the standard V12 Vantage is just too plebeian for your tastes, you can option up for the Carbon Black Edition - an exclusive trim for the States - which includes black metallic paint, carbon fiber accents, a reworked grille, 10-spoke black wheels and a host of interior appointments.

Pricing for the Carbon Black model comes in at a cool $194,995 (undercutting both the DB9 and DBS), and both prices include the $3,000 gas guzzler tax and $1,350 destination charge. If that's too rich for your blood, just enjoy the high-res pics in the gallery below.

If you've been waiting patiently - even not so patiently - to get your hands on the new Carbon Black edition of the Aston Martin DBS, you'll still have to wait until the summer to take delivery. Oh, and a trunk full of hundred-dollar bills. But if all you want is to catch a glimpse, we've got good news for you. Because no matter where you are in the continental United States, chances are there's a DBS Carbon coming to a city near you.

In a special demonstration organized by Aston's exclusive audio partner Bang & Olufsen - which furnishes the 13-speaker, 1000-watt sound system in the DBS - a pair of the special Carbon Black editions will be touring America. Along their route, they'll be hitting New York, Washington, Miami, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco and LA. So unless you live in Oregon, you're covered.

If you do swing by a local Aston dealer when the Carbon Black editions are in town, you'll see a pair of DBS coupes with a special-process black flick paint and an interior with carbon-Kevlar seats covered in black leather with silver stitching, along with special wheels and badging.

BMW expands 7 Series with Exclusive Editions

So far, BMW's deliveries of 7 Series models are up 26% versus a year ago. Much of that is likely due to the freshening the car underwent last year, making the controversial Chris Bangle design a bit more pleasing to the eye. Always looking for a way to keep things interesting, BMW has now introduced a new Exclusive Edition package that will be available for European 7 Series models starting in the fall. (It may well be available in North America, too. BMW has not posted an announcement directed at that market yet.)

The Exclusive Editions introduce two new paint colors -- Carbon Black and Stratus Grey, two new interior schemes --Ecru and Gold Brown, and new uneven-width 19" wheels. The paint and interior colors can me mixed and matched to create four individual Exclusive Edition combos. The new exterior finishes reflect light differently depending on the amount of sunlight and angle of viewing. The new interiors are swathed in soft Merino leather. A two-tone steering wheel, piano black or dark ash wood trim, and anthracite or alcantara (V12 models) headliners complete the package.

Pricing for the Exclusive Edition package is only slightly higher than what one would pay for standard metallic paint, 19" wheels, and Club Leather interior, so it should find its way onto a fair number of cars.
