Bugatti Grand Sport Cutaway - Click above for high-res image gallery

There's no doubt that the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport is an impressive car just from looking at it, and it's even easier to sing its praises when you get to drive it. Bugatti has given us one more reason to be impressed here at the Geneva Motor Show with a cutaway version of its $1.2 million supercar. The car is divided into its two main sub-assemblies, showing off its carbon fiber structure and internal components.

Perhaps the most impressive thing about the car is how Bugatti managed to cram so much into so small a space. The Grand Sport is a relatively small car, and fitting an 8.0-liter W16 engine complete with four turbochargers into the space behind the rear seats was no small feat. The display shows just how Bugatti did it, though, and we walked away even more amazed at what went into packaging all the components of the car. Over the past few years Bugatti has released numerous versions of its Veyron supercar, but the Grand Sport model hasn't been out enough to get too many variations. Bugatti released the Sang Bleu version this past summer in Monterey, but that's about it. In addition to the the pair of Grand Sports we drove, those are the only color combinations we've seen for the drop-top Bugatti.

That is, of course, until we hit the show floor here in Geneva. Bugatti has brought out a brand new Grand Sport finished in carbon fiber covered in clearcoat and polished aluminum. Other than the wheels, which we're not huge fans of, the car is completely stunning to look at. If we somehow had the cash to buy and maintain a Bugatti, the carbon fiber finish would be the first option we would check off. With so many special edition Veyrons, we're starting to wonder if Bugatti is still making any regular versions. To their credit, this is only the first unique version of the Grand Sport model that made its debut at Pebble Beach this time last year. Named the Sang Bleu, the latest Veyron variant was unveiled at the Quail Motorsports Gathering yesterday and features a body comprised of polished aluminum and carbon fiber tinted in Royal Blue. The only other differences between the Sang Bleu and the standard Grand Sport are the Gaucho leather seating and wheels that have a Diamond Cut finish and Midnight Blue trim.
