<br />
The variable valve-timing obsessives at the Temple of VTEC have scored a leaked brochure of the 2011 <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/HondaCRZ/">Honda CR-Z</a>, and in addition to getting a glimpse of the production version of the hybrid hatch, some specs and trim details were included in the document.<br />
<br />
We finally have hard figures on the 1.5-liter engine's output (in JDM spec), with the diminutive four-cylinder putting out 112 horsepower (at 6,000 rpm) on its own and another 14 hp from its electric motor. Just as importantly, the engine creates 107 lb-ft of torque (at 4,800 rpm) with the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system boosting that by another 57 lb-ft at an oh-so-low 1,000 rpm. Coupled with either a six-speed manual or CVT gearbox, the CR-Z nets a relatively uninspiring 0 to 62 mph time of 9.7 seconds.<br />
<br />
The dimensions haven't changed much from <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/21/tokyo-2009-honda-cr-z-coming-to-america-next-fall-with-six-spee/">the "concept"</a> we saw at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/tokyo-motor-show/">Tokyo Motor Show</a> earlier this year, with a 160.6-inch overall length, 68.5-inch width, 54.9-inch height and a wheelbase that spans 95.9 inches. Unfortunately, no word on curb weight.<br />
<br />
Since efficiency is the name of the game, the CR-Z will benefit from LED daytime running lights and turn signal indicators in the mirrors, along with three driving modes - Eco, Normal and Sport - each controllable from a dash mounted switch and with a different color surrounding the gauges based on the mode.<br />

It's just that the Euro-market hatch wasn't supposed to be formally revealed quite yet. The car will be introduced on Wednesday with the usual fanfare at the Bologna Motor Show, but media at this week's Essen Motor Show got a sneak preview when they picked up the Golf Plus brochure at the VW stand. The error was apparently corrected in short order, but once something's out, it's out. Dutch paper <a href="http://www.telegraaf.nl/autotelegraaf/2675682/__Onthuld__gefacelifte_Volkswagen_Golf_Plus__.html?p=8,1"><em>De Telegraaf</em></a>, which was also the first outlet to run official Panamera photos a week or so ago, was among those who grabbed a copy of the new Golf Plus materials. Their scan is what's shown above. As you can see here, it looks pretty much like the old Golf Plus, except it has the new Golf's front-end theme. We'll see the whole thing when VW releases more images and specs next week. If you click the photo you can read a Babel Fish-translated version of the <em>Telegraaf </em>article. <em>Thanks to Jelle for the heads-up.</em><br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.telegraaf.nl/autotelegraaf/2675682/__Onthuld__gefacelifte_Volkswagen_Golf_Plus__.html?p=8,1">AutoTelegraaf</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/29/oops-vw-accidentally-distributes-new-golf-plus-brochure-in-esse/">Oops! Heading a car for the showroom means that all the ancillary materials need to be created, too. They're likely shooting pictures of some preproduction model in an exotic locale as we write this, and the mundane things like owner's manuals need to get done so they can be lovingly tucked into gloveboxes. Some quick thinking with a digital camera has netted the interweb some closeups of a Scirocco's instruction booklet, which coincidentally carries closeups of an uncamoflaged Scirocco. The shots are small, out of focus, and not terribly informative, so we studied them for hours, naturally. You can see the final shape of the headlamp and down the flank, some fuzzy images of the interior and details like the rims, HVAC controls, and switchgear. We wish there was a shot or two of the rear, but at least we now know that the headlights are going to have an underbite that reminds us of the early '70s <a href="http://www.type4.org/pictures/1974/off_744124door/large.html">412</a>. <br /><br />[Source: LLN]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/scirocco-owners-manual/low/">Scirocco Owner's Manual</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/scirocco-owners-manual/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/vw_scirocco_leak02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/scirocco-owners-manual/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/vw_scirocco_leak01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/scirocco-owners-manual/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/vw_scirocco_leak03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/30/lecken-sie-wie-der-wind-der-neue-scirocco-brochure-surfaces/">Leak like the wind - Der Neue Scirocco brochure surfaces</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 30 Jan 2008 07:28:00 EST. The first thing that jumps out at you is the ginormous three-pointed star emblem that dominates the front grille on the Avant Garde and AMG Sport Package models. A trim called Elegance will apparently make do with a standard Mercedes grille. We dig the big badge, which was also previewed on the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/03/mercedes-shows-vision-gl420-concept/">Vision GL420 Concept</a> at the Detroit Auto Show. This indicates we should expect more MB models to sport the large three-pointed star on various trim levels over the next few years. Otherwise, the sedan's exterior lines are a little meatier, a little chunkier and more filling, like Campbell's soup. M'm, m'm, good. <br /><br />The interior of the 2008 C-Class impresses us less, however, with a wonky steering wheel and old-school nav setup that has the screen popping up vertically from a hidden slot on the dash. We didn't like that feature in the first Infinitis with nav systems and we don't like it here. There does, however, appear to be a large information screen centered in speedomater reminiscent of what Chrysler uses in the Pacifica. Let us know what you think in the comments. <br /><br />Check out the rest of the brochure in our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-brochure/"><strong>high-resolution gallery</strong></a>.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-brochure/136449/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/new_c9_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-brochure/136446/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/new_c11_thumbnail.jpg" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-brochure/136450/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/new_c2_thumbnail.jpg" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-brochure/136445/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/new_c12_thumbnail.jpg" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-brochure/136447/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/new_c1_thumbnail.jpg" /></a><br /><br />[Source: German Car Zone via <a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/leaky/cleaky-mercedes-w204-cclass-brochure-228819.php">Jalopnik</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/15/official-2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-brochure-leaked-on-web/">Official 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class brochure leaked on web</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 15 Jan 2007 16:04:00 EST. We figured it would pop up eventually at the British Motor Show in July, Paris Motor Show at the end of September or the newly rescheduled L.A. even later. But it seems the upscale mini-ute is ready for its close up as these leaked brochure pages suggest. We can't glean any details from the images as the resolution is a bit too low for the text to be read.
