Automakers are always looking to push the boundaries with experimental technology, but BMW seems to be ahead of the curve with respect to autonomous vehicles. Previously, BMW was sticking to closed circuits to show off its TrackTrainer. Now, however, the German automaker is venturing out on to public roads, and it's doing so with an automated 5 Series fitted with advanced ConnectedDrive technology.
For music listeners, streaming music services are becoming much more important. So, of course the automakers want in--after all, more OEMs are turning to technology as a main driver of new customers. BMW, wanting to stay ahead of the curve, just announced that MOG will be making an appearance on their BMW ConnectedDrive vehicles.
BMW has finally made good on its promise to bring its Connected system to the U.S. in 2010, and with less than a few days left in the year, both new Bimmers and their Mini brethren can get in on the iOS connectivity action.
