Aston Martin design director Marek Reichman stops by Jay Leno's Garage with one of the ten new DB10 prototypes made for the latest James Bond movie Spectre - and actually lets the host/collector drive the thing.
The next James Bond film is shooting at Blenheim Palace in England, and we get amateur video of the Aston Martin DB10 practicing maneuvers among lots of exotic cars. The production crew has also graced us with a behind-the-scenes short from shooting in Austrian mountain passes.
Well, there's something to be said for timing. With the announcement that MI6 Agent James Bond would take the wheel of the all-new Aston Martin DB10 in his next film, Spectre, Xcar has taken a look back at 007's most iconic vehicle – the DB5. There's also something about some such special edition Vanquish, but it all kind of pales in the glory of the iconic DB5.
James Bond has driven a variety of vehicles over the course of his long and fictitious career in espionage, but few marques have been as intrinsically tied to the famous spy as Aston Martin. For the past few films that's come down to the DBS, but for the next one, 007 is switching to the one you see here.
What comes after DB9? That's the big question currently surrounding Aston Martin as the British purveyor of luxury GTs prepares to replace its long-serving core model. And now we may have a clue at what the answer will be.
