For over a decade now, the Car Classic at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena has been a mainstay of Southern California car culture. It's the kind of event where you might see a Duesenberg alongside a Porsche 917 racer, a classic Ford Mustang fastback, a gullwinged Mercedes-Benz 300SL and a McLaren P1, all on the same lot.

The Pasadena Art Center College of Design held its annual Car Classic this past weekend, an event that has been a must-attend on our calendars for the past few years. While rain hampered last year's Car Classic, this year's event benefited from a typically beautiful Southern California day.
Every once-in-a-while we come across something wacky enough to get us to stop in our tracks, suppress a giggle, and point-and-shoot. While at the Art Center Car Classic this weekend, we had one of those moments. A Prius with a pretty pronounced proboscis caught our eye while we were checking out the parking lot. As strange as it seemed, we remembered seeing it somewhere before. And then we saw Kustom Kar King George Barris at the other end of the lot and it clicked. This Prius was done by Barris
