The AF-10 will be powered by either an LS3 or LS9 V8 plucked from GM's parts bin, either of which should offer exhilarating performance in a car that's targeted to weigh in at 2600 pounds. The first AF-10 chassis, bonded together from 12 pieces, is under construction and the first completed car should emerge around Christmas, with production ramping up further in 2009. If you absolutely must have one of these things, they'll go on sale in Summer 2009 for &pound;170,000.<br /> <br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-10-1">Arash AF-10</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-10-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/1arashaf10cad_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-10-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/2arashaf10cad_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-10-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/3arashaf10cad_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-10-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/4arashaf10cad_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-10-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/5arashaf10cad_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /> [Source: <a href="http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/News/Search-Results/First-Official-Pictures/Arash-AF-10-latest-photos/">CAR</a>]<br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/02/arash-af-10-images-and-specs-surface/">Arash AF 10 images and specs surface</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 02 Nov 2008 09:02:00 EST. We have no idea how many GTSs he's unloaded, but plans are underway to create another V8 coupe called the AF-8 to slot in between the 911-fighter and the soon-to-be-released AF-10.<br /><br />The AF-8 seeks to be a more civil version of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/06/29/farboud-af10-supercar-to-be-at-britain-motor-show/">AF-10</a> that's less hypercar and more daily driver. Power will come from the Corvette Z06's 7.0-liter V8 producing over 500 hp and weighing in at between 2,600 and 2,800 pounds. For comparison, the AF-10, sporting the same motor tweaked to 550 hp, will tip the scales at just under 2,500 pounds. The AF-8 should be good for a sprint to 60 in around 3.4 seconds on its way to a top speed of 204 mph.<br /><br />[Source: CAR]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-8">Arash AF-8</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-8/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/5arashaf-10f34_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-8/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/6arashaf-10r34_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-8/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/4arashaf-8f34_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-8/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/1arashaf-8f34_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/arash-af-8/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/2arashaf-8side_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/22/new-arash-af-8-gets-z06-power-more-civility/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>New Arash AF-8 gets Z06 power, more civility</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/22/new-arash-af-8-gets-z06-power-more-civility/">New Arash AF-8 gets Z06 power, more civility</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 22 Jan 2008 15:58:00 EST. Farboud says he'll have a running prototype of the &pound;170,000 exotic early next year. The shape you see here, however, has already been wind tunnel tested, so what you see is likely very close to the AF10's final form. Of the shape Farboud says, "If you're at a set of traffic lights and an Enzo, Carrera GT, Pagani Zonda, Koenigsegg and McLaren SLR all pull up, the AF10 should not look out of place."<br /><br />The carbon fiber sports car will be powered a 7.0-liter Corvette Z06 engine hooked up with a six-speed Graziano transmission and be capable of 200+ mph. The rest of the car's development will now be done out in the open, with Farboud releasing details and accepting feedback on his supercar along the way.<br /><br />[Source: PistonHeads]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/07/19/arash-af10-shown-in-london/">Arash AF10 shown in London</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 19 Jul 2006 17:33:00 EST.
