Volker Morningweg, the head of Mercedes' in-house tuning division AMG has confirmed that it will introduce its first diesel model within three years. Morningweg told AutoCar that the first diesel will likely be a smaller, more efficient model rather than the large S or CL class. The terms "performance" and "diesel" used to be mutually exclusive, but times, they are a-changin'.
