Hyundai expects the 2009 Genesis Sedan to fly off the showroom floor. However, few were probably amused when a pair of the brand-new Korean sedans took a leap from a transporter. We don't know many details other than the incident occurred somewhere in South Korea. Of course, we don't consider this incident extremely newsworthy, but as a blog we do find these automotive-related human errors with expensive aftermaths rather fascinating. Keep 'em coming.

Normally, the phrase "only rolled once" isn't considered a positive attribute in a used car ad. For the sellers of this distressed 1999 Acura Integra, however, it's a defining characteristic. The high points (now low, due to the vehicle's inverted status) are that the parts should be in fine shape on this 60,000 mile example. If you needed an engine, trans or interior from a low mileage donor, this might be your car. We do hope that it didn't stay upside down for long, though, for the engine's sake. If not, all the oil that's likely filled up the cylinders will make starting a challenge.

Why, dear God? Why do bad things happen to good cars? We have no idea what circumstances were at play when this gleaming new grey Nissan GT-R got a sizeable love tap in the right front quarter panel. We're willing to give the owner the benefit of the doubt and assume that someone backed into the car while he or she was waiting for a parking space in Shibuya, since we know first hand that that can happen... Sigh. At least this GT-R isn't a total write off like the first one that wrecked.

It's a well-known fact that just because you can afford a supercar, it doesn't mean you can handle it. As the purchase of exotics has increased, the number of customers cracking up their hyper-expensive rides has risen accordingly, and the Wall Street Journal decided to take a look into the facts, the figures and the conjecture surrounding the issue.

The article, accompanied by a two-and-a-half minute video segment, explores some of the more publicized cases of the past several years, along with interviews with some players in the automotive industry and the press.

One of the stats that caused us to re-read an entire paragraph came courtesy of the California Highway Patrol. "... The total number of accidents involving Aston Martins, Bentleys, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Lotuses and Maseratis rose to 141 last year, an 81% increase from 2002, while overall crashes declined statewide during that period."

That stat pretty much sums up the state of affairs, but the whole article is certainly worth a few minutes of your Saturday. Whether or not this recent phenomenon is worthy of some of the government's or automaker's time is another issue entirely.

What's worse? Wrecking an Enzo, of which we have documented several in the last few months, or a Maybach 62? Most certainly the Enzo, but either incident is guaranteed to put a serious ding in your savings account and garner mixed reactions from your insurance agent.

Check out the price for this jewel, discovered at a NJ salvage yard for a mere $159,000, complete with a salvage title. If you have the mad skills required to repair the Maybach and can get into your dad's awesome set of tools, you could buy the 62 and repair it to for nights out with your friends at the drive-in and have enough left over to buy a low-mileage F360 Spyder for yourself.

One thing we did find odd is that the airbags did not deploy. Good for the person who ends up buying the car to repair, but potentially bad for the previous driver and passenger. Maybe the impact wasn't as bad as it looks?
