We know some amateur bands that have amps that sound much worse than the car's speakers. Then again, it could be their guitar-playing abilities. We can't wait until someone puts together a concert with about 20 Beetles on stage as amplifiers. Could you bill it as The Beetles United?<br /><br />Enjoy all 22 high-res 1280x photos in our <a href="http://http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ces-2007-the-cars-of-ces-part-iv-1/">gallery</a>.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ces-2007-the-cars-of-ces-part-iv-1/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/img_0551_thumbnail.jpg" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ces-2007-the-cars-of-ces-part-iv-1/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/img_0533_thumbnail.jpg" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ces-2007-the-cars-of-ces-part-iv-1/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/img_0543_thumbnail.jpg" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ces-2007-the-cars-of-ces-part-iv-1/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/img_0532_thumbnail.jpg" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ces-2007-the-cars-of-ces-part-iv-1/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/img_0466_thumbnail.jpg" /></a><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/12/ces-2007-the-cars-of-ces-part-iv/">CES 2007: The Cars of CES Part IV</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 12 Jan 2007 11:09:00 EST. Good commercial. It doesn't hold a candle to the second spot, though. The person at the ad agency who thought of this one deserves some sort of award.<br /><br />Round two of the <a href="http://www.v-dubsrock.com">v-dubsrock.com</a> ads opens with <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinal_Tap">Spinal Tap's</a> Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) mid-solo, resplendent in black t-shirt, kilt, tube socks, and sneakers. He's standing on the roof of a white Jetta as it rises from beneath the stage in dramatic fashion. White Rabbits (visual pun intended?) adorn the four corners, and the background is all black, making it the opposite of the Slash spot.<br /><br />Nigel falls off the car at the end of his solo, but he's okay. Had the VW promotion involved drums, of course, there might have been cause for concern...<br /><br />Thanks for the tip, Tom.<br /><br />[Source: YouTube]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/10/12/video-new-vw-guitar-ad-goes-to-eleven/">VIDEO: New VW guitar ad goes to eleven!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 12 Oct 2006 11:54:00 EST.
