<br />We're big fans of Ugur Sahin, who in the past has penned a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/22/best-looking-ferrari-dino-guess-yet/">modern interpretation of the Ferrari Dino</a> that made our knees weak. Last year he unveiled renderings for a reinterpretation of the C6 Corvette called <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/19/ugur-sahin-design-dreams-up-corvette-z03-concept/">the Z03</a>. Being used to seeing his designs remain on-paper fantasies, we were pleasantly surprised this morning to learn that his firm, <a href="http://www.ugursahindesign.com/">UgurSahinDesign</a>, has partnered with well known tuner <a href="http://www.mallettcars.com/">Mallett Cars</a> to bring the Z03 to life.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugursahindesign-corvette-z03/1474072/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/004_ugursahinz03_opta.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugursahindesign-corvette-z03/1474044/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/020_ugursahinz03_opta.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /><br />Since we last saw it, the Z03 has undergone further styling revisions, and we say for the better. They tell us all the tweaks were made to increase engine cooling and improve downforce, while the new headlights were redesigned to better accompany the car's Z06-like see-through hood. That new powerdome provides some extra clearance for what Ugur Sahin and Mallett have planned for the Z03 powerplants. The base engine will be a supercharged version of GM's LS7 V8 producing 700 hp. For those interested in the ultimate of bespoke Vette conversions, however, there's an optional engine upgrade featuring twin turbos and an expected output of 999 hp. <br /><br />Just to convert your C6 into the Ugur Sahin design with carbon fiber bodywork will set you back $69,000, not including the price of the donor car. The engine upgrades will run $32,700 for the 700-hp, supercharged version and $35,795 for the 999-hp, twin-turbo version. At only a couple thou more than the supercharged engine, the 999-hp option seems like a steal. That is, until you tally the total cost and realize you've just spent six figures creating a super Corvette that still has the same interior.<br /><br />Be sure to inspect every inch of Ugur Sahin's new Z03 design in our high-res image gallery below and peruse more detailed tech specs <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/06/ugur-sahin-partners-with-mallett-for-999-hp-twin-turbo-corvette/">after the jump</a>.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugursahindesign-corvette-z03/low/">UgurSahinDesign Corvette Z03</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugursahindesign-corvette-z03/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/000_ugursahinz03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugursahindesign-corvette-z03/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/001_ugursahinz03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugursahindesign-corvette-z03/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/002_ugursahinz03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugursahindesign-corvette-z03/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/003_ugursahinz03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugursahindesign-corvette-z03/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/004_ugursahinz03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: UgurSahinDesign]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/06/ugur-sahin-partners-with-mallett-for-999-hp-twin-turbo-corvette/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Ugur Sahin partners with Mallett for 999-hp twin-turbo Corvette Z03</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/06/ugur-sahin-partners-with-mallett-for-999-hp-twin-turbo-corvette/">Ugur Sahin partners with Mallett for 999-hp twin-turbo Corvette Z03</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 06 Apr 2009 12:58:00 EST. The Turkish designer has dreamed up the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/19/ugur-sahin-design-dreams-up-corvette-z03-concept/">Corvette Z03 Concept</a>, and before that brought the world his interpretation of what a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/22/best-looking-ferrari-dino-guess-yet/">modern Ferrari Dino</a> might look like (he was <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/13/new-ferrari-california-exposed/">a little off</a>). It turns out that Sahin has been continually evolving his Dino design, however, and today we get our first look at the result of his extra doodling: the USD GT-S Passionata concept. Based on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, the Passionata retains the grand sports tourer personality of its host chassis, but adds a body that's much more organic with swoops, bulges and soft curves everywhere the eye falls. The mega hood scoop makes the car look a little insect-like, and we also see some cues inspired by the Corvette, Lotus and even McLaren F1 in the front end, but overall it's a knock out design and the connection to Ferrari's own design language is unmistakable. Truthfully, we just wish that we could draw cars this well. Sahin, however, is hoping to do more than just draw the Passionata, as he claims in his press release after the jump that "production will be arranged" if there's a demand for it. Unfortunately, a brand new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano will have to be sacrificed to build the Passionata, which we think probably violates Ferrari's warranty. Check out a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugur-sahin-usd-gt-s-passionata/828470/">high-res gallery</a> of the Ugur Sahin USD GT-S Passionata below to view the design from every angle and let us know what you think in the comments. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugur-sahin-usd-gt-s-passionata/low/">Ugur Sahin USD GT-S Passionata</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugur-sahin-usd-gt-s-passionata/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/000_passionataugur_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugur-sahin-usd-gt-s-passionata/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/001_passionataugur_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugur-sahin-usd-gt-s-passionata/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/002_passionataugur_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugur-sahin-usd-gt-s-passionata/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/003_passionataugur_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ugur-sahin-usd-gt-s-passionata/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/004_passionataugur_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.ugursahindesign.com/USD%20GT-S%20Passionata.html">Ugur Sahin Design</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/28/ugur-sahin-design-unveils-usd-gt-s-passionata-concept/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Ugur Sahin Design unveils USD GT-S Passionata concept</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/28/ugur-sahin-design-unveils-usd-gt-s-passionata-concept/">Ugur Sahin Design unveils USD GT-S Passionata concept</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 28 May 2008 12:28:00 EST. <p>The last time Ugur Sahin Design came up on our radar, it was for a beautiful <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/22/best-looking-ferrari-dino-guess-yet/">modern Ferrari Dino rendering</a> that had us hoping for a production version. Sahin has a come up with a new concept, this time based on a Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Unlike the Dino, Sahin is hoping to actually build this car with a production run of 100, Dubbed the Z03, this concept features full carbon fiber bodywork and design cues from the C3 Corvette and a Ferrari 599 GTB. Performance will be a focus as well, with 100 pounds shaved off the car's overall weight, and three engine packages available from 500 to 750 horsepower. Further details will be available in March, and the delivery of a production car is optimistically set for the end of 2008.</p>
