When German tuning house Irmscher decided to create a tribute to Transformers hero Bumblebee, they didn't do just another yellow Camaro with black stripes. Instead, they built a black Chevrolet Cruze and decked it out in orange. Makes sense, right? It appears to be primarily a cosmetic job, although the body has been lowered 30mm and the wheels are 18-inch Imscher-designed Turbo Stars wrapped in nine-inch wide tires, however the heart of the beast is an unmolested 1.8-liter lump working through an automatic transmission. According to German actor Kai Noll, the car catches everyone's eyes. If you want to see it, book a trip to Frankfurt. If you want to buy one, you can contact Irmscher, the price is "by individual request."

We know the Chinese love their Transformers - or perhaps it's just Bumblebee. To promote its new movie theater, a mall in China created its own Transformer out of a Volkswagen Jetta. The best part about the sculpture is that it hasn't been painted to look like Bumblebee, and it's been posed in a way that makes it look like it's either speed skating, or finishing up a dance number, or doing aerobics. Oh, and it has no head. But it's still cool, and you can check it out in the gallery of high-res photos below.

Yesterday, not long after we posted a story about a gay-centered General Motors marketing video for Chevrolet's new Camaro, the video was mysteriously pulled from YouTube. As it turns out, GM itself has copped to the disappearing act, as it reportedly ordered the popular video hosting site to yank the footage.

According to a USA Today article, GM spokesman Dave Barthmuss felt that the video - which featured a pair of so-called 'go go boys in Camaro-branded underwear washing a new 2010 model - was "not appropriate and not in good taste." The footage was filmed as part of a Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen gay day promotion at a Hollywood movie theater.

Despite pulling the video, GM has reportedly launched a more concerted campaign to broaden the scope of its marketing efforts as it applies to the Camaro, with more overt efforts to target gays, bisexuals and the transgendered. It is not immediately clear what (if any) effect pulling the footage will have on the rest of the automaker's p.r. efforts.

Michael Bay may never win the Best Director Oscar, but he sure does know how to get the most out of his actors during their auditions. U.K. broadcaster Jason Solomons wrote in a recent column that Bay had Ms. Megan Fox wash his (unspecified) Ferrari at his home as part of her audition for her role in the first Transformers movie. And since Bay was doing "official" auditions, he apparently recorded every minute of it.

Solomons reportedly asked Fox if she knew where the footage was, and he says she was unsure where the footage was, adding that she was "concerned" as to where it may be. According to Solomons, Bay all but confirmed the tape's existence, allegedly saying "Er, I don't know where it is either" when asked by the broadcaster. Hmmm.

Since the role of Mikaela Banes required Fox to act as sexy as she already looks, we can see why Bay chose for her to wash a Ferrari as part of the audition, but the fact that the 'audition' took place at his home and the tape has gone missing does seem a bit "casting couch" to us. That said, we can think of few things we'd rather see than Megan Fox, a Ferrari, and a bunch of suds. What we don't understand, though, is why this footage wasn't part of our bonus footage in our special edition Transformers DVD.

With Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen holding the number box office spot for two weeks, there couldn't be a better time for this ardent Autobot fan to be flogging his truck on eBay. Done up thoroughly enough to qualify as an Optimus Prime replica, this 1997 Peterbilt 379 wears custom PPG paint and clearcoat, along with hand-applied pinstripes.

If you do actually want to haul things, under that extended hood - just like Prime has - there's a 475 horsepower Caterpillar running through a ten-speed Eaton Fuller transmission. Bidding is up to $20,300 at time of writing, but you've got nine days left to get your bid in and make room in your back yard... and then you can retrieve the Allspark.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Optimus has been showing up all sorts of odd places lately, including a guest appearance on The Light Show With David Letterman last night. We played with Transformers as kids and have a considerable appetite for anything automotive, making the second installment of the Transformers film franchise a must watch in an otherwise uninspiring summer blockbuster season. While we didn't dare hope for a compelling story line, we were pretty sure Director Michael Bay wouldn't let us down with regards to special effects. As you'd expect in the runup to one of this summer's most widely-anticipated movies, product placement announcements are rolling in fast and furious ahead of the June 24th launch of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Included amongst the obviously large number of vehicles from General Motors will be an Aprilia RS125, a bike we happen to be rather fond of. In fact, seeing this machine once again reminds us how much we'd love to see the Italian motorcycle maker wrap a similar package around the excellent V-twin powerplant in its RXV and SXV line of bikes.

Oh, and it's also an excuse to run these two images of Megan Fox. In leathers - all in the name of safety, we're sure. Two questions... where's her helmet, and what's up with Shia The LeBeouf's tendency to ride pillion?

We have some good news and some bad news. First, the good news, because that's just how we roll. We've got another clip of Megan Fox.. er, Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. The bad news? It involves a "bad guy" Transformer named Wheelie that has a really cheesy New York wise-guy personality. His weaknesses appear to include a foul mouth, mousetraps and hot chicks - two out of three which being qualities that we can identify with. In any case, he gets his metallic little ass kicked by Fox.

Most TF2 previews have looked straight-up awesome so far, but if this annoying little 'bot has anything more than a cameo in the movie, well, we're not going to be happy. Hit the jump to see video of Fantastic Ms. Fox taking a blowtorch to mini Megatron.

General Motors isn't the only vehicle manufacturer with an interest in promoting the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen flick, as evidenced by last weekend's AMA Pro Daytona SportBike at Road America in Wisconsin. Italian motorcycle maker Aprilia used the race to unveil fresh new livery for the RSV 1000 Factory race bike ridden by Ben Thompson, who currently sits 22nd in the points standings and finished in 41st position at the end of Saturday's race and 20th on Sunday. Naturally, you can expect to see a large Aprilia-shaped cameo in the movie, which is slated to hit a theater near you on June 24th.

Of course, the most interesting development from Aprilia is the new V4-powered 2010 RSV 4 superbike, which also made an appearance at Road America in Wisconsin over the weekend. Currently, the RSV 4 is doing battle in World Superbike competition, where rider Max Biaggi has scored 126 points and currently sits in fifth position in the overall standings. That's mighty impressive considering this is the bike's first year in competition.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro as Bumblebee - Click above for a high-res image gallery

Diehard Transformers fans take note: Chevrolet is reportedly planning to launch a limited edition Bumblebee Camaro to capitalize on the upcoming flick, Revenge of the Fallen. We're sure none of you saw that coming, right? The car, available with either V6 or V8 power, will be available for order June 1 and the first cars are scheduled to roll down the assembly line on the 24th of that month, which, not coincidentally, is the same day the movie is scheduled for released in the U.S.

Unfortunately, we don't have any images of the new Bumblebee package to show off or pricing information, but rumor has it that the car will be painted up in the same Rally Yellow that's available on other Camaros - importantly, that's not the darker color that's featured in the movies - set off by black racing stripes, of course. To help set the Bumblebee edition apart from its siblings, GM will equip the car with Transformers badging on the wheel centers and sill plates along with an embroidered emblem on the console inside. A fever pitch is building for the upcoming release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on June 24th, so much so that a rabid fan snuck his hand-held camcorder into a special screening today where the film's newest trailer was being debuted. What he escaped with was a pretty good vid (for a cam) with brand new scenes from the movie that reveal even more of the story's plot. SPOILER ALERT: Sam's got something in his head that Megatron wants, Optimus Prime doesn't mind being inconvenienced by fate, and Megan Fox is 76.3% hotter in the sequel than the first film. We're chomping at the bit in anticipation of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which debuts nation-wide on June 24. We likely haven't even seen all the theatrical trailers, yet Paramount and Dreamworks have already declared July 1, 2011 the opening day for the third installment of the Transformers franchise.

Some film franchises these days shoot movies back to back to cut down on production costs and keep momentum, but that isn't the case with T3. In fact, the third Transformers flick hasn't even been written yet, nor has a writer been hired. It seems that competition for the best summer release dates is fierce, which forces studios to plan far into the future - before a project is even off the ground. We can't even think that far ahead yet, so we're just going to keep our focus on T2, hoping it doesn't let us down. If it flops, we may not even have a Transformers 3 to worry about. A commercial for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen aired during the Super Bowl last month that contained new footage for Michael Bay's upcoming release. At 30 seconds long, however, the ad was more of a teaser than a trailer. The actual theatrical trailer from which the commercial got its footage is two minutes 15 seconds long, and a sneak preview of it was published today on YouTube. The preview was captured using a hand-held video recorder of some sort, so the quality isn't that great, but we're working on finding a higher quality version. In the meantime, follow the jump to view the full preview that you'll soon be watching in theaters that features extended versions of the short clips we saw in that Super Bowl commercial.

Without any actual product to reveal today at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show, General Motors spent its time on the soap box making sure its heavy investment in Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen pays off. As we've shown you, GM revealed the Corvette Centennial Concept that will play Sideswipe, as well as Jolt the Volt, Skids the Beat and Mudflap the Trax. During the press conference, GM also displayed new footage of the entire AUTOBOTS crew, old and new, out rolling in vehicle form. We usually know what vehicles an automaker will debut at a major auto show the weekend before, but General Motors has kept us in the dark about its plans for the Chicago Auto Show next week. As such, we're not expecting any major product reveals, but today we learned that GM will be introducing us to the new Bumblebee from the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. He's the same Bumblebee from the first film, but the Camaro into which he transforms has been spiffed up for the sequel with a new front bumper, chin spoiler, hood scoop and different wheels. Whereas the first Bumblebee was based on the Camaro Concept, it appears that the new one is based on the actual production car.

Joining the orange Camaro in Chicago will be other characters from the film in their car forms. New additions to the sequel brandishing a GM badge include a 2010 Chevy Volt called Jolt, a Chevy Spark called Skids and a Trax concept called Mudflat (together known as the Twins), and a character called Sideswipe based on the still-yet-to-be-revealed Corvette Centennial Concept. GM didn't specify in its press release (included after the jump) which characters are accompanying Bumblebee to Chicago, but the venue at McCormick Place is one of the largest exposition centers in the world, so the more Transformers the merrier.

It's hard to tell what's going on in this first trailer for the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen sequel that will air tonight during the Super Bowl, but there are more psychotic Decepticons amped up for a rematch, lots of Autobots getting their mechanical asses kicked, and anything that can be blown up gets blown up. It's everything you'd expect in Michael Bay film... plus Megan Fox. As we get closer to the June 26th release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, we can expect that more and more bits will leak out regarding the various plot lines and, more importantly for Autoblog, the robots and their alt-mode vehicles. Such is the case today with new images and a few details regarding Ironhide, the Chevy Beat and Trax "Twins" and Megatron, who may or may not make a return appearance in the sequel.

After looking at the pics, which are from the website for Activision's Transformers: The Game (it's since been taken down), we're a bit worried the Twins that we expect to transform into the Chevy Beat and Trax will take on a Jar Jar-like role in ROTF, but we remain hopeful after our early misgivings regarding the first film were (mostly, some, not at all?) unfounded. Megatron is sporting a different look too, with what some believe are tank treads on his legs. Want more? A trailer for the upcoming movie is scheduled for the Super Bowl this Sunday. We haven't really heard a peep about the Corvette Centennial Concept since late last year, but that'll be changing in short order as hype about Revenge of the Fallen, the upcoming sequel to the wildly successful live-action Transformers movie, gets closer to its release on June 26th. We're expecting to see a real car from General Motors to go along with the movie roll, but it's not something that you'll be able to buy. This machine is meant as nothing more than a tribute to the Corvette, and it coincides nicely with GM's 100th anniversary.

The most current set of rumors suggest that the Centennial 'Vette will take the form of Transformers character Sideswipe, though there's no official word on that point quite yet. Regardless, the robot mode has been revealed via a new Transformers toy leak. Pay close attention (click on the image to enlarge) to the robot's feet -- he's a skater, and that should make for some interesting scenes in the movie. Just a few more months to go. Devastator, a massive Decepticon made out of five, or six, or seven Constructicons, depending on which source you cite, will be in Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. In the oddest case of reasoning we can imagine, he's said to have "massive upper body strength, like a gorilla." Devastator is a simpleton with one mission: heavy metal whoopass. But he's pretty easy to trip up since he's not so smart, which could be what the gorilla comment is about. Nevertheless, when upright, he's pretty good at what he does: his signature line is "Nothing defeats the Devastator. Nothing!" For the Autobots and humans, that'll probably mean a beating or two before they save the day. For us, that means yee-haw!
