In the interest of compelling television, it's not just a review. In pursuit of hilariousness, May and Hamster set off on a bullet train to see if they can beat Clarkson to the final destination. It takes about the duration of the ride for Clarkson to figure out what half the buttons in the GT-R do, and May and Hammond don't have it any easier trying to communicate in Japanese to do simple things like figure out the train system and buy tickets. Hilarity follows, with part 1&2 after the jump.

[Source: GTR Blog]

Continue reading Top Gear: GT-R vs. Bullet train

Top Gear: GT-R vs. Bullet train originally appeared on Autoblog on Mon, 14 Jul 2008 12:32:00 EST. The first episode aired last night on the Beeb and, as expected, the entire show has been posted on YouTube, broken up into six different clips. Hit the jump to see the dynamic trio race an M3 against a Prius, introduce a new character into the lineup, create their own interpretations of the ideal police car, test the Ferrari F430 Scuderia and work their way through the "news" that's piled up during their hiatus. The BBC isn't too keen on having their content floating around the You-powered Tubes, so if the videos posted below the fold aren't around by the time you make the jump, there are always other sources to get your fix.
Continue reading VIDEO: First episode of Top Gear Season 11 is out!

VIDEO: First episode of Top Gear Season 11 is out! originally appeared on Autoblog on Mon, 23 Jun 2008 15:31:00 EST. Wilman drops a hit: it's in Japan. Hmmm, what car was recently released in Japan that could possibly live up to hype? And what opponent could possibly go head-to-head with it? The comments section is officially open for speculation.

Thanks the tip Eric and Peter!

[Source: Top Gear]
Top Gear season 11: More races, more hijinks, more Sabine and a new character originally appeared on Autoblog on Tue, 20 May 2008 13:58:00 EST.
