Taylor Swift hosts Saturday Night Live - Click above to watch the video

Allow us to make a couple admissions. It's our opinion that with the notable exception of Celebrity Jeopardy, Saturday Night Live hasn't been funny since Belushi. Before she got upstaged by an apparently off-his-meds Kanye West, we thought Taylor Swift was a dry cleaner. That said, it's understandable that we had extremely low hopes (like, none) for a SNL sketch involving the young Miss Swift to be watchable, let alone funny.

But guess what? Us old dudes was wrong, way wrong! She's not only funny, but apparently installed a camera in our little sister's bedroom circa 1991. Talk about the perfect ensconced in misery, unhappy to be alive 15-year-old girl. And her reaction to the dangers of driving during the birds and the bees speech, well, just watch for yourself, after the jump.

Saturday Night Live has been on a roll of late, with a string of strong skits centered around the Presidential election and the ongoing financial crisis. So it was only a matter of time before SNL took on the auto industry to task, using last week's Congressional hearings as the backdrop. As one might expect, SNL writers showed no mercy for Allan Mulally, Bob Nardelli, and Rick Wagoner, and Congress didn't look too bright, either. The omnipresent joke of the entire eight-minute skit was a long, consistent shot at the quality of Detroit 3 products. Even though it's an obvious exaggeration, we're guessing the shots are a sure-fire sign that commercials touting the quality improvements at Ford and GM have fallen on deaf ears. Most automakers are desperately trying to appeal to the all important 18- to 25-year-old male demographic, that group of consumers who thinks cooking should be no more complicated than a Hot Pocket and watch Saturday Night Live without the historical comedic context of Jim John Belushi, Dan Akroyd, Chevy Chase and Bill Murray. A Suzuki dealership in Evansville, IN has the answer for its parent brand's marketing dept. What appear to be two very bored car salesman who both bear an uncanny resemblance to Joey Fatone formed a faux boy band dubbed 4 Eva and shot a video for their single "Suzuki with Shocks". The song is a parody of a ditty from the modern SNL crew performed by Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake last year called "BLEEP in a Box". You can fill in the blank, but be careful 'cause that link's very NSFW. So Evansville Suzuki is spoofing a song that spoofs boy bands to sell cars; that's so post modern it makes our heads hurt. But the spoof-once-removed is funny, albeit a bit creepy. Check out the video that's sure to be climbing the TRL charts after the jump.

We've heard tales of people cooking on engine blocks or exhaust manifolds, but Peyton Manning has been paying attention to the elaborate setups that tailgaters bring to his games. This car has some nicely integrated features that make long distance trips even easier than they usually would be in a Mercedes S-Class, including an in-dash toaster oven, butler's pantry in the trunk, and deeply bolstered toilet seats. They didn't even need to invoke AMG to create a Benz that will roast your loaf. And since this is a Saturday Night Live production, don't expect it to be anything but tongue-in-cheek.
