It's hard to believe that Bugatti is still pumping out more special editions of its already special Veyron when owners of some of the most exclusive versions to date have been going up for sale on what seems like a daily basis. A couple of weeks ago, we reported on one of the five Pur Sang editions being put up for sale in Abu Dhabi, and our man Jared Paul Stern over at sister-site Luxist found another one a few days later. But as exclusive as the Pur Sang edition was, an even more exclusive Veyron has now popped up on the market on a Polish website.

The Pegaso edition was a one-off built for one fortunate Eastern European customer living in Dubai (where else) at the exclusive Burj al Arab complex. It was painted a special pearl white and light red metallic with a custom interior bearing the Pegaso badge in tribute to the 1950's-era Spanish coachbuilder. We guess times are tight for everyone if the owner is motivated to sell, but then again, at €1.85 ($2.45M USD), the offering party is asking for a considerable premium over the standard million-€uro price of a new model for this barber pole Bug. Bugatti Veyron sales reach 220

Congratulations, and a toast with a pair of champagne glasses, to Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. for selling 220 of their ultra-exotic Veyron 16.4 models. With 132 examples sitting safely in customer garages worldwide (except for this one...doh!), and 88 more on firm order, Bugatti is moving closer to the end of its reported 300-car production run.

We told you last year that demand has been strong for the 16-cylinder quad-turbo model. With deposits on the $1.4 million cars quickly pushing the waiting list to over a year, Bugatti increased production last July to bring the wait to under twelve months. Simply being otherworldly drivers isn't necessarily enough, either. With customers showing more interest in "special" cars, the factory is authorizing an "individualisation programme" to meet those requests. These days, if the "standard" Bugatti just doesn't do it for you, there is always the Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang with its polished aluminum body and unpainted carbon fiber. Not plush enough? Then try the opulent Bugatti Veyron Fbg Hermes for some exclusivity. Or, maybe you'd prefer the Bugatti Pegaso Edition instead?

Regardless of which Veyron floats your boat, if you're considering adding yourself to the lucky list of 220, do yourself a favor and check out the Bugatti online configurator before you march into one of the 32 sales locations around the world. Their available 'exterior color' palette is quite overwhelming, so you may want to take a few minutes to mull over it before you commit.

See what money can do: The Bugatti Pegaso Edition

We've been inundated with tips about this special Bugatti Veyron. We don't have a lot of info other than what the photographer says about the car and owner over at E46Fanatics.

Zeyad: hes a russian guy [ed. - actually, one member clarified he's Ukranian] who lives in burj al arab. he hangs out with/works with sheikhs as far as i know. his collection of cars are the following (correct me if im wrong - and im sure there are some i havent mentioned): red on white pegaso edition bugatti veyron (plate C 1), white mclaren mercedes slr special edition (plate F 12), yellow pagani zonda F (plate F 13), white maybach 62, black benz G55, red ferrari f430, white lambo murcielago, a 760, a hummer H2 and probly loads more...

and with regard to the thing about license plates...having a lower number does not necessarily make you "closer to sheikh mohammed" it's a bit more complicated than that. you can buy 2 digit plates...but not single digit plates. those all belong to sheikhs. the owner of this veyron, however, is an exception...he apparently offered 55 million dirhams for the plates C 1 - 12 to all the emirates, and the only emirate which accepted the offer was fujairah. hence the plate fujairah, C 1. and he is not a sheikh...he is a wealthy russian man who lives in burj al arab (the 7 star hotel) and has - in my opinion - the best car collection on earth...

The fact that it's a Veyron makes it a special sighting. Because it's such a striking color combo, it really stands out. One member says the colors are Pearl White and Light Red Metallic. Add to that the "1" number plate, the Pegaso badges and custom stitching inside, and it's a truly unique version of an already unique car.
