Paris Hilton has turned a new green leaf. Well, not including the partying, the drunken serenading, and the regrettable choice of film roles. But when it comes to vehicles, out have gone the SLRs, Bentleys, and other cars of the super variety, and in is coming a Yukon Hybrid. We know what the Hollywood embrace did for the Prius. Trendsetter that Paris is, this could be the beginning of a long love affair between the hybrid hauler and the screen set. Or not, Paris being as fickle as she is. The Escape Hybrid that she was given last summer didn't last too long, and the Hummer Hybrid she tried to have designed died as nothing more than an idea. We'll see if the Yukon lasts any longer.

We generally try to avoid any coverage of celebrity foul ups, leaving it to the gossip sites to do their worst. This, however, is a story we couldn't pass up.

After one drunken driving arrest, two traffic violations and failing to enroll in a mandatory alcohol education program, Paris Hilton has been sentenced to 45 days in a woman's prison in Lynwood, CA.

After arriving fashionably late to her court date, Paris the heiress was accompanied by her mother, Kathy, who laughed out loud when the prosecutor was making his closing statement (apple, tree, you know the rest). Afterwards, Paris made a statement laden with apologies, yet seeming to lack any real substance.

As flawed as our system can be, it's nice to know that justice can been served, even to the wealthy elite that generally live above the law. Her sentence begins on June 5th and we're looking forward to 45 Paris-free days during her time in custody.

When you're an American princess and heiress to a fortune the size of GM's legacy costs, you don't need to obey such silly things as laws and such. Paris Hilton's paparazzi caught the young self-made celebrity backing out of a parking spot in her Range Rover and swapping paint with an unsuspecting Civic. After hanging around long enough for the videographer to capture the damage done to both cars (but not long enough for her to get out of the SUV and survey the damage herself), Paris punched it and headed for the exit.

The money shot is of the Range Rover's bumper that suffered a scrape and a crack right next to the back-up object sensors, which apparently couldn't be heard over the starlet's debut single Stars are Blind blaring on the stereo. (We're just guessing about that last part, but anyone wanna bet we're wrong?)

We shouldn't be shocked when it comes to Paris Hilton. Between that video tape, Carl's Jr. commercial, and her acting in Simple Life (she's acting, right?), the heiress' high jinks have become as predictable and commonplace as overhyped movies in the summertime.

Still, when our sib-site Luxist reported that Ms. 'That's Hot' gambled away her Bentley in a poker game, even we were taken aback. Paris Hilton apparently  awoke one morning and realized to her haute couture horror that the silver Bentley Continental GT she's been rockin' just doesn't go with her Spring wardrobe. What's a hotel heiress to do? Go shopping -- and shopping she did, picking up a handsome black Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren. Really, it's the perfect vehicle for the L.A. traffic jam scene.

Local L.A. law enforcement might consider deeming Hilton's new chariot a lethal weapon and impound it on sight, especially considering that her boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos, crashed her previous 552-hp Bentley into a truck while trying to avoid the paparazzi. We shudder to think what Ms. Hilton could destroy with 617 hp on tap beneath her stilettos.
