<div align="center"><em><strong><small>2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, Evo GSR and Evo MR Limited - Click above for high-res gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Remember the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/03/paris-2008-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart-sportback/">Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Sportback</a> we showed you back in October? The one that debuted in Paris? The one that we lusted after for its hatchback practicality and Ralliart brawn? The one that the good folks from <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/30/officially-official-2010-mitsubishi-lancer-sportback-on-sale-in/">Mitsubishi had promised we'd be getting</a> here in the States this summer as <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/03/production-of-mitsubishi-lancer-evolution-x-halted-for-2009/">an early 2010 model</a>? Well, Mitsubishi has delivered. Sort of. A few Mitsu reps drove down to Irvine from Cypress with a genuine 2010 Ralliart Sportback. And not only that, but they dragged along an Evo GSR and an all-new MR Limited as well.<br /><br />The Ralliart Sportback drew a lot of attention for its shape, but the Limited was the one that caught our eye. It's a regular old MR with a few differences. In place of the Alcantara bits, Mitsubishi has gone all-cowhide inside. There are also a few additions to the standard options list, including an Evo-first moonroof. Out back, the car has gone undercover by foregoing the large wing that has heretofore characterized the Evo sedans. Sounds like the Evo MR for grownups. Mitsu's reps remained tight-lipped on the details, but pricing is likely to top $40,000 for this model. We didn't get as many shots as we would have liked, but we did manage to get a few that we've assembled in the gallery below. As soon as we get more details, we'll fill you in.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mitsubishi-lancers/low/">2010 Mitsubishi Lancers</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mitsubishi-lancers/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/2010mitsubishilancers---01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mitsubishi-lancers/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/2010mitsubishilancers---02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mitsubishi-lancers/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/2010mitsubishilancers---03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mitsubishi-lancers/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/2010mitsubishilancers---07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-mitsubishi-lancers/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/2010mitsubishilancers---08_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos copyright (C)2009 <a href="http://about.frank4cars.fotki.com/">Frank Filipponio</a> / Weblogs, Inc.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-sportback-ralliart/low/">2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-sportback-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/rear_sportback_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-sportback-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/00_lancersportbackralliart_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-sportback-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/01_lancersportbackralliart_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-sportback-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/02_lancersportbackralliart_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-sportback-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/03_lancersportbackralliart_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div></small></strong></em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/27/first-impression-2010-mitsubishi-lancer-lineup/">First Impression: 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer lineup includes new MR Limited </a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sat, 27 Jun 2009 22:01:00 EST. </small> <br />The crew at NextAutos caught a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/MitsubishiLancerSportback/">Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback</a> testing in the great state of Michigan, providing us with further proof that the WRX-fighter is on its way to the States. The <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/03/paris-2008-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart-sportback/">Sportback</a> is the hatch/wagon/combi variant of the Lancer <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/03/paris-2008-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart-sportback/">that originally debuted in Paris</a>, and while Mitsubishi still hasn't confirmed drivetrain choices for the U.S., we've been assured that a Ralliart version is in the cards.<br /><br />The Sportback aims to unseat the five-door Subaru Impreza both here and abroad, with gasoline engine choices in Europe spanning the range from 1.5- to 1.8-liters, along with a turbodiesel displacing 2.0 liters. The Sportback Ralliart will be powered by the same turbocharged 2.0-liter MIVEC four equipped on the sedan and putting out 237 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque to all four wheels through Mitsubishi's new Twin-Clutch SST transmission and Active Center Differential. Expect the Sportback to arrive on U.S. shores later this year, with the Ralliart variant following shortly thereafter.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.nextautos.com/spy-shots-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart-sportback">NextAutos</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/07/spy-shots-mitsubishi-ralliart-sportback-spotted-in-mi/">Spy Shots: Mitsubishi Ralliart Sportback spotted in MI</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 07 Jan 2009 19:01:00 EST. The turbocharged middleweight sedan - aimed squarely at the Subaru WRX - is a clear choice for those that don't want to shill out $40k for its big brother the Evolution X.<br /><br />Instead, you can get the same 4B11T/C engine (equipped with a smaller turbo) sending 237 hp and 253 lb.-ft. of torque to Mitsubishi's dual-clutch SST gearbox and on down to a modified version of the Evo IX's all-wheel-drive setup. Go crazy with the options, including Recaros, Sirius radio, sat nav and HID headlamps, and you'll be knocking on the $30k ceiling. <br /><br />However, don't hold Migliore (or Mitsubishi) to that price just yet. The final cost hasn't been determined and will be dependent on currency fluctuations between the U.S. dollar and the Japanese yen.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/">2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0000mitsuralli_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0001mitsuralli_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0002mitsuralli_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0003mitsuralli_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0004mitsuralli_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080709/FREE/287393041/1023/rss01&amp;rssfeed=rss01">Autoweek</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/09/mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart-supposedly-to-start-under-27k/">Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart (supposedly) to start under $27k</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 09 Jul 2008 21:24:00 EST. In atonement for its sins, it's fitted the new Ralliart with a detuned version of the 4B11T pulled from the Evolution X, producing 235 hp and an unknown amount of torque. Additionally, Mitsubishi has decided to fit the Twin Clutch-SST transmission, pulled from the high-power and high-priced Evo X MR. The TC-SST clicks off the shifts through a set of steering wheel mounted paddles and sends power to a full-time all-wheel-drive system equipped with Mitsubishi's Active Center Differential (ACD).<br /><br />The exterior is so reminiscent of the Ralliart's big Evolved brother that we're sure it'll be mistaken for the X and in addition to the absolutely boss Recaro buckets, the interior materials and amenities seem several notches above its base brethren.<br /><br />On a personal note: As the guy that berated the Lancer ES in our recent Garage review, when the Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart goes on sale this summer, I'll be one of the first ones in line. It's obvious that the Ralliart is aimed squarely at Subaru's WRX and if they can keep the price around the Subie's (about $25k), the Ralliart stands as one of the performance bargains of the decade. And just think of the mods....<br /><br />Check Mitsubishi's full press release plus video after the jump and our gallery of live and press shots below.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/">2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0000mitsuralli_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0001mitsuralli_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0002mitsuralli_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0003mitsuralli_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0004mitsuralli_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/13/detroit-2008-2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart-were-sold/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Detroit 2008: 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart... we're sold</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/13/detroit-2008-2009-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart-were-sold/">Detroit 2008: 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart... we're sold</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 13 Jan 2008 20:16:00 EST. Perhaps they're privy to some long-lead info over there, however, that we're not, as the details are specific enough as to sound convincing. <br /><br />Regardless, Carscoop is reporting that the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart will be a 5-door hatchback model in Europe and be based on the sedan in the U.S. Power will reportedly come from a detuned version of the EVO X's 2.0L turbo-four producing 240 PS, or about 236 horsepower if you want to be stickler about conversions. Surprisingly, the Lancer Ralliart is also pegged to come with Mitsubishi's 6-speed Twin-Clutch SST transmission, a piece of kit only available on the top level Lancer EVO MR. The EVO GSR makes do with a simple 5-speed. Of course, the Ralliart model will also be aided by the same Super-All Wheel Control all-wheel-drive system used by the EVO X, as well Active Yaw Control and Active Center Differential. Other notable features include an aluminum hood, Recaro front seats, a sports steering wheel with paddle shifters and a special Ralliart radiator grille. <br /><br />If these facts hold true, then the Ralliart will be the weapon used by Mitsubishi to take on the Subaru WRX around the world. In the past, Mitsubishi has allowed the Subaru WRX free reign, choosing to field a much less potent version of the Lancer Ralliart. No more.<br /><br /><strong>UPDATE: </strong><a href="http://www.channel4.com/4car/news/news-story.jsp?news_id=16883&amp;intcmp=rss_4car_news">Channel4</a> substantiates the information provided by Carscoop, adding that the Lancer Ralliart will also get rain-sensing wipers, auto xenon headlamps and headlamp washers.<br /><br />[Source: Carscoop]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/19/mitsubishi-releases-official-details-on-lancer-ralliart/">Mitsubishi releases "official" details on Lancer Ralliart</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 19 Dec 2007 14:22:00 EST. The Evolution's introduction in the States was quickly followed by the STI's, and all was right in the AWD performance segment. Not quite. Mitsubishi needs a direct competitor to the base WRX and as <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/02/more-on-the-lancer-ralliart/">we've seen</a> <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/27/mitsubishis-new-wrx-rival-ralliart-caught-testing/">already</a>, the Ralliart moniker is coming back, and it won't be limited to a couple of stickers and 15-inch O.Z. wheels.<br /><br />Some European journalists were assembled by Mitsubishi this week (likely an Evo X ride and drive) and it was revealed that a five-door version of the Lancer would be made available abroad sporting a 260 hp engine and the Evolution IX's all-wheel-drive system. If this is the same setup as the Ralliart Lancer we'll be getting in the U.S., that pegs the 2008 Subaru WRX with a 36 hp deficiency, not to mention the wizardry of the last generation Evo AWD system.<br /><br />Also noted in the article were three different versions of the Evolution X that our friends across the pond will get in the coming years, with models creating 295 hp, 330 hp and 360 hp. No surprise, since they've been blessed with a number of FQ-models over the course of the Evo's lifespan.<br /><br />[Source: 4Car]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/24/mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart-to-have-260-hp-engine-evo-ixs-awd/">Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart to have 260 HP engine, Evo IX's AWD</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sat, 24 Nov 2007 10:56:00 EST.
