18GM's Ed Welburn gets role in upcoming Transformers flick

General Motors has gone from simply providing vehicles for the Transformers series of films to supplying actors, as Vice President of Global Design Ed Welburn will be making an appearance in the latest installment of director Michael Bay's franchise.

39Transformers 4 full-length trailer released, features lots of cars

Look, we aren't expecting Transformers 4 to be the next Citizen Kane or Casablanca. All we're expecting is lots of explosions, some vague attempts at acting and an excuse to stuff our faces with some buttery popcorn in a cool theater on a hot summer day. Judging by this new, full-length trailer released on Michael Bay's YouTube page, we're pretty sure we're going to get just that – and we're going to get a bunch of neat cars and trucks.

AddChina's Trumpchi plug-in hybrid will debut in next Transformers movie

The Trumpchi E-jet, the plug-in hybrid vehicle first showed off earlier this year by China-based Guangzhou Automobile Group Co Ltd. (GAC), will make its on-screen debut in next year's installment of the "Transformers" movie franchise. Your guess is as good as ours if the car will be a good robot (like Bender) or a bad robot (like, well, Bender).

722014 Camaro Concept is new Bumblebee, Transformers 4 onslaught continues

Considering that A) we've already seen quite a number of Transformers 4 cars debuted on Michael Bay's website, and B) we were all really just waiting for the next Bumblebee, it seems fair to say that our gallery of T4 vehicles may now be complete.

87Transformers 4 spied filming at GM Proving Grounds, new Bumblebee Camaro caught [w/video]

Spy photographers usually try to focus their lenses on test mules and prototypes, but this week, a camera-toting sleuth stumbled upon some filming for Transformers 4 on location at a General Motors proving grounds facility in Michigan. While Michael Bay's personal website has already shown us a handful of confirmed and potential characters for the movie, these images are our first live look at the Autobots including what appears to be the new Bumblebee.

32Michael Bay unveils Freightliner truck character for Transformers 4

It looks like Optimus Prime could have some ten-wheeled competition when Transformers 4 hits theaters next year. Michael Bay's website has released an image showing the latest character to join the movie's robot alien cast, and while the previous character reveals were all Autobots, this dark and ominous Freightliner is almost certainly a Decepticon.

19Transformers 4 casts Lamborghini Aventador, Bumblebee gets a new, old Camaro

There's still plenty of time until Transformers 4 hits the big screen, and Michael Bay & Co. are making sure there is plenty of suspense in the meantime. Which is good, because we're not really expecting any actual suspense from the flick. Not wanting to drown you with short posts as Bay's website slowly and steadily starts to run down the list of cars that will appear in the movie, we've held off until now to give you a quick update roundup.

68Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4 [UPDATE]

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.

32Michael Bay casts Mark Wahlberg in Transformers 4

Despite the replacement of the entire human cast (including Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel), we think the ladies might still find some eye candy in the upcoming installment of the Michael Bay Transformers franchise. According to the director's website, Mark Wahlberg will join the cinematic battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. Does this mean Marky Mark will drive everyone's favorite movie Camaro, Bumblebee, now?

186Michael Bay confirms Transformers 4, replacing entire human cast

Ready or not, here comes Transformers 4. The Huffington Post reports that Transformers directory Michael Bay has signed a contract with Paramount Pictures to extend the money-minting movie franchise. Yeah, we know. Most everyone says the movies are terrible, with the exception of some eye-popping (yet very overdone) CGI.

37Michael Bay takes a whack at Need For Speed: The Run trailer

Video games are big business. Titles like Call of Duty can reach a billion dollars or more in sales, but racing games typically don't fare quite as well. Maybe that's why the Need For Speed team developed The Run; a cross-country thriller that combines fast cars, beautiful-yet-pixelated women (with real-life swimsuit model voices and Christina Hendricks) and abundant out-of-the-car action.

21Chevrolet unleashes Bumblebee Cruze in China

Let's take a stroll into a parallel universe for a spell; one where Michael Bay doesn't soak his Transformers films in vats of teenage testosterone for a fortnight. What would that realm look like? Chances are the mighty Bumblebee wouldn't be a pre-production Chevrolet Camaro. After all, here in real-life, the average teenager is stuck driving something a little more pedestrian, even if he is saddled with saving the world. We're thinking something along the lines of the Chevrolet Cruze. Apparent

61Report: Transformers 3 will not have Megan Fox

For all the talk of heavyweight star power, in all but the most extreme cases, it is directors that have the most power on the set, not the celebrities. That's apparently how it happens that Michael Bay has removed Megan Fox from Transformers 3, who is said to have insulted Bay at almost every chance she got, calling him Hitler, Napoleon, a "nightmare to work for," and "hopelessly awkward." Actually, that last comment she meant to be a compliment.
