Just two days after taping the pilot episode of Top Gear USA, Adam Carolla took the proactive approach of revealing who the first Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is before the blogosphere could get those in attendance who signed NDAs to spill the beans. On his radio show Monday morning, Carolla got a caller to cough up the name, and it's none other than auto icon and generally icky dude David Hasselfhoff. Reports from people who attended the taping say that the Hoff was actually a great live gue
Do you know what KITT stands for? Or what KITT"s top speed was? Do you know the name of Michael Knight's boss? Did you know George Barris built the convertible and super-pursuit versions of KITT? Do you know the license plate KITT wears? No? Dude, you are so not ready for the new Knight Rider movie. You've got about a year to prepare, and the "Knight Rider Legacy Unofficial Universe" is your Cliff's Notes. Or you could just watch every episode, now available on DVD.
The rumor that K.I.T.T. will be played by a Mustang in the upcoming Knight Rider TV series appears to be true. That is, assuming someone with a lot of time on his hands didn't mock up a Hoff-ified Mustang just for the hell of it. That's extremely doubtful, as the car you see above is actually wearing the body kit of a Shelby GT500KR, which isn't easy to come by for weekend projects. Nope, if we take the pic at face value, then the only conclusion possible is that K.I.T.T. will be played by a 550
Our friends over at Cinematical are reporting that the upcoming Knight Rider TV pilot will star soap opera stud Justin Bruening as Michael Knight's son. So far as we can tell, the script remains the same as we had heard a few weeks ago, and Steve Shill remains the director. Still no definite word if David Hasselhoff will make an appearance on the show.
var digg_url = 'http://digg.com/business_finance/Wanna_bet_gas_will_hit_4_gallon_You_can'; Someone was asking the other day if trading their gas-hungry Mustang for a hybrid Civic was a good idea. Essentially what they wanted to do was wager gas prices were not going down any time soon and could likely go higher. But you don't have to give up high-horsepower driving just to place a bet on future pump prices. BetUS.com will let you keep the 'Stang by taking your bet that we'll soon see a $4-a-g
Look what Autoblog fan Omar found for us on eBay. What appears to be just another 1970 Porsche 911 T is, in fact, the closest many of us would ever get to being near Michael Knight and Mitch Buchanan. That's right, this rare sunroof 4-speed car once belonged to DAVID HASSELHOFF! And the seller promises to provide proof of der Hoff's ownership, as well.
Who knows? This is just a photochop knock off that proves KITT would look quite fetching as a Swedish supercar in the upcoming 2008 movie version of the famed TV show that starred David "Jump in My Car" Hasselhoff, a.k.a. the Hoff, as Michael Knight. Since the Pontiac Firebird is no more, the role of KITT could be played by any vehicle with its sights set on Tinsel Town. Should KITT be a supercar, though, or stay true to its roots and be a blacked out muscle car?
