The Nippon obsessed at Winding Road have unearthed another gem from DAMD that was present at this year's Tokyo Auto Salon. This time the base vehicle is a Daihatsu Move and Move Custom, which was redesigned just last October. This time, instead of injecting Cadillac into the little kei car, DAMD chose to instead graft the grille of a Chrysler 300 onto the nose of the Move and Move Custom. Rather than use the standard grille slats, DAMD went with a chrome mesh similar to the kind used for aftermarket grille inserts in the U.S. Like the DAMD mini Escalade we showed you yesterday, the DAMD Concept B Mono, as this car is called, also features a few other minor exterior add-ons along with new leather trimming on the interior.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and it's the business of Japanese tuner DAMD to take a seemingly innocuous vehicle and have it emulate a machine that's clearly out of its league. In the past, they've transformed an Infiniti G35 into a baby Aston, and now they've taken a Suzuki Every Wagon and given it the grandest of aspirations. The DAMD Concept B Type 1 Every DA64W is dressed to the nines to look like a Cadillac Escalade. Really, the only exterior modification that's performed to this end is replacing the stock grille with a Cadillac knock-off, but combined with the stock Suzuki headlights that already look like they were lifted from the GM parts bin, the costume is effective. Of course, you're not a Caddy without chromed wheels, so DAMD added nine-spoke chrome rims along with some upgraded running boards and new rear bumper. The interior benefits from the addition of stitched leather seating and door trim, as well. The stock Suzuki Every Wagon looks like a stiff wind would send it into a series of roll overs, but somehow the addition of an Escalade grille gives it an attitude that was completely lacking before.

Mazda brought a ton of rides to the tuner-centric Tokyo Auto Salon this year. In addition to machinery like the CX-7 Bright Stylish Concept we brought you a few weeks ago and the Roadster (MX-5) Mazdaspeed M'z Tune Concept that Damon reported on earlier today, there are a host of other trick Mazdas prepared with a little help from folks like DAMD, Kenstyle, Pioneer (as Carrozzeria) and the aforementioned Mazdaspeed.

Nothing is off the table, so the range of models touches everything from the Mazda3 (Axela) to an ultra-lux MPV. The gallery shows all, and don't worry, each photo is labeled at the bottom so you'll know exactly what you're looking at. Known best here for their bodykits that've aimed to turn a couple of Nissans into Aston Martins, DAMD is actually a prolific manufacturer of styling kits for just about every Japanese automaker. We have to say that their new accessory package for Honda's Vamos, Hobio and Acty vans takes the cake, though.

Once the OE parts are switched out for the DAMD pieces, the little kei-class vans are transformed into miniaturized Dodge A100s. DAMD calls the kit "Locoboy." Honda's Vamos family of microvans certainly lends itself to retro-fication. You may recall the Vamos we featured back in August, which was kitted to look like a 1972 Honda Step Life van.

The Step Life clone was cool, but the Locoboy operates on an entirely different plane. We'd roll in this all day.

Imitation, they say, is the sincerest form of flattery. So then the Japanese must really love Aston Martins, because from Japanese tuning house DAMD (the same people who brought you this custom Mitsu Outlander) comes yet another Aston Martin look-alike.

Like the 350Z roadster we brought you a while back, DAMD's Nissan Skyline 350GT/Infiniti G35 Coupe puts an Aston snout on a Datsun. Aside from the custom front end and a set of ghastly chrome rims, the rest of the coupe seems pretty much stock.

The Aston G and the Aston Z are both part of the Black X Metal line-up, in collaboration with ANCEL, and also includes an Aston-nozed MX-5 (similar to this one).

You may remember DAMD as the Japanese tuner house that grafted an Aston Martin nose on a Nissan 350Z (more on that in a later post). Now the aftermarket company has set its sights on the brand new Mitsubishi Outlander, which in our opinion looks just fine off the showroom floor. But those DAMD tuners went and produced a three-piece body kit for the Outlander that includes a new front spoiler, rear apron and side skirts. A new grille insert can also be bought to finish off the company's kit. The wheels are 20-inch in diameter and look to be about all the Outlander's fenders can handle. We wish we could tell you this DAMD Outlander was packing some heat over and above the stock 3.0-liter V6 producing 220 horsepower, but DAMD produces parts strictly for show, folks. If you live in the U.S., however, it makes no difference as DAMD sells its wares only in Japan.
