<br />
The second coming is finally here, and it goes by the title of the 2013 <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/porsche+cayenne+gts">Porsche Cayenne GTS</a>. Porsche has put 20 more horses under the hood to bring matters to 420 horsepower, and to get more out of them it has lowered the chassis a further 20 mm and installed a lower final-drive ratio. The one unkind note: whereas the first GTS was available with a six-speed manual, this one is fitted exclusively with Porsche's eight-speed Tiptronic S paddleshift gearbox.<br />
<br />
In the search for improved fuel economy, stop-start is standard, and when things get underway, the extra go-fast means a 5.4-second roar from zero to 60 mph. Along with unique side skirts and wheel arches, features only on the GTS include new Peridot Metallic (as shown) and Carmine Red paint, unique 20-inch wheels and eight-way GTS seats inside. There's an available Sport Chrono package to keep tabs on your 162-mph SUV, but that won't be included in the $82,050 base price (which includes $975 in delivery fees).<br />
<br />
The GTS will be revealed at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/beijing-motor-show/">Beijing Auto Show</a> later this month, but you can find out more in the video and press release <a href="/2012/04/10/porsche-debuts-420-hp-2013-cayenne-gts-w-video/#continued">after the jump</a> and get few choice glimpses in the gallery of high-res photos.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/04/10/porsche-debuts-420-hp-2013-cayenne-gts-w-video/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Porsche debuts 420-HP 2013 Cayenne GTS [w/video]</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/04/10/porsche-debuts-420-hp-2013-cayenne-gts-w-video/">Porsche debuts 420-HP 2013 Cayenne GTS [w/video]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 10 Apr 2012 11:27:00 EST. <div style="text-align: center;"><strong><em><small>2011 Porsche Cayenne - Click above for larger image</small></em></strong></div>
<br />
While we've seen several <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/02/02/autocar-gets-early-crack-at-next-porsche-cayenne-finds-i/">spy shots</a> of 2011 <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/porsche/cayenne">Porsche Cayenne</a> prototypes and mules, plus a few renderings that purport to show the real deal, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/make/porsche/">Porsche</a> apparently let the cat out of the bag by mistake... <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/02/12/autoblog-weekender-full-of-questions-edition/">again</a>. On the Porsche website, an image that shows the 2011 Cayenne right in the middle of a family picture magically appeared and was apparently swapped out later to include the current generation Cayenne GTS.<br />
<br />
The Cayenne 2.0 in the photo looks athletic and trimmer, with huge wheels and big headlights that give it a startled appearance, maybe because it was caught with its pants down. Whether the image above is 'chopped or Porsche recognized the error of its ways and took the family pic down, we don't know. What we do know is that the '11 Porsche SUV will make its debut in <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/geneva-motor-show/">Geneva</a> next month. Until then, take a larger look at the image above and let us know what you think.<br />

The V8 in Porsche's newest SUV is basically a massaged version of the one in the Cayenne S, but in the GTS, it can be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox for maximum entertainment. A turbo-like front end, 21-inch wheels, air suspension with PASM, and Alcantara seating designed to hold your Brooks Brothers slacks like velcro are all part of the package, too. If you want in on the party, prepare to hand the nice man at the door at least $69,300. And remember, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/09/video-porsche-cayenne-gts-bloodlines-commercial/">every time you rev the engine, an RS Spyder stirs</a>. <span style="font-style: italic;">Porsche PR after the jump.</span><br /><br />[Source: Porsche]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts">2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0000gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0001gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0002gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0003gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0005gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/29/porsche-affixes-window-sticker-to-cayenne-gts/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Porsche affixes window sticker to Cayenne GTS</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/29/porsche-affixes-window-sticker-to-cayenne-gts/">Porsche affixes window sticker to Cayenne GTS</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 29 Jan 2008 12:28:00 EST. The advertised vehicle is the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/07/frabkfurt-preview-porsche-cayenne-gts/">Cayenne GTS</a>. The GTS, in case you forgot, was <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/07/frabkfurt-preview-porsche-cayenne-gts/">revealed in Frankfurt</a> last year, and with its 405-horsepower V8, it fills the gap between the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo. In the commercial, the GTS driver goes to investigate some sort of Porsche urban legend. He pilots the SUV into the hills, parks overlooking the city, revs his engine, and waits to see what happens. Learn along with him after the jump.<br /><br />[Source: Porsche via YouTube]<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts">2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0000gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0001gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0002gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0003gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0005gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/09/video-porsche-cayenne-gts-bloodlines-commercial/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: Porsche Cayenne GTS "Bloodlines" commercial</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/09/video-porsche-cayenne-gts-bloodlines-commercial/">VIDEO: Porsche Cayenne GTS "Bloodlines" commercial</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 09 Jan 2008 19:31:00 EST. Positioned between the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo, the GTS is the first Cayenne to be equipped with the active suspension (PASM) combined with steel springs -- a configuration that, until now, was reserved for the automaker's sports cars. Its sits 24 mm lower than the S and its V8 gets a 20 hp bump to 405 horsepower. Visually, the GTS wears the same front and rear fascias as the Cayenne Turbo. It's also outfitted with 21-inch wheels and there are two new colors exclusive to it: GTS Red and Nordic Gold Metallic. A six-speed manual is standard equipment, with Tiptronic S optionally available. Look for the Cayenne GTS in showrooms in February 2008. US buyers should set aside $69,300 if they'd like to park one in their driveways.<br /><br />Porsche's press release is included after the jump.<br /><br />[Source: Porsche via Autoblog Spanish]<br /><br /></font><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts">2008 Porsche Cayenne GTS</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0000gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0001gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0002gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0003gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-porsche-cayenne-gts/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0005gts_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/07/frabkfurt-preview-porsche-cayenne-gts/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Officially Official: Porsche Cayenne GTS</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/07/frabkfurt-preview-porsche-cayenne-gts/">Officially Official: Porsche Cayenne GTS</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 07 Sep 2007 06:47:00 EST.
