It was so big they needed to construct their own building next to the existing exhibit halls to house it. The three-story structure was filled to capacity as the company debuted something like 193 new models in the 20 minute show. Okay, maybe it was a dozen or so. Using dancers in some very creative ways, they managed to convey the idea of man and nature working together for a clean green future to start things off. For the debut of the new models, they were particularly keen on looking green, so the dancers helped create an illusion involving nature. Taking the form of trees and forest spirits (<em>What was this, an anime film? -Ed.</em>), the dancers somehow managed to turn their tree limb props into the shape of a vehicle and enclose all 12 of themselves inside of it just as Dr. Z drove out in a Bluetech sedan. After a bit of talk, the sedan went away and when it was time for the wagon (did Dr. Z call it a Model T? Probably T-Model, on second thought), it too was green. This time a C300 <span style="font-style: italic;">BLUETEC hybrid</span>.<br /><br />More info and Mercedes' full press release after the jump.<br /><br />[Source: Mercedes-Benz]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-wagon/low/">2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-wagon/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/540989_952565_4800_4620_07a1749_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-wagon/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/540990_952569_4799_3200_07a1902_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-wagon/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/540991_952572_4288_2848_07c1779_221_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-wagon/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/540992_952575_4288_2848_07c1779_500_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-mercedes-benz-c-class-wagon/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/08/540993_952578_5790_5817_07a1611_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/12/frankfurt-2007-mercedes-c-class-wagon-arrives-in-hybrid-form/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Frankfurt 2007: Mercedes C-Class wagon arrives in BLUETEC Hybrid form</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/12/frankfurt-2007-mercedes-c-class-wagon-arrives-in-hybrid-form/">Frankfurt 2007: Mercedes C-Class wagon arrives in BLUETEC Hybrid form</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 12 Sep 2007 01:01:00 EST. The sister to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/04/officially-official-2008-mercedes-benz-c63-amg/">recently-announced sedan</a>, this is the flagship that will sit atop the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/08/31/mercedes-benz-lets-loose-the-new-c-class-estate/">C-Class wagon</a> range. It sports AMG's 6.2L V8 tuned to produce 457 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. That's enough to give the wagon a 4.6-second 0-62 time and an electro-nannied top end of 155 MPH. Outside, it gets all the AMG visual goodies, which make it look like quite the menacing little family truckster. Pretty awesome, kids, <em>and </em>it lets you bring up to 53 cubic feet of stuff along for the ride. Look for it later this month in Frankfurt, where it'll make its grand entrance along with the rest of the C-Class Estate lineup. We're looking forward to what the tuners like BRABUS do with this. <br /><br />[Source: Carscoop]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mercedes-benz-c-63-amg-estate/low/">Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Estate</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mercedes-benz-c-63-amg-estate/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/c63amgwagon_1280_001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mercedes-benz-c-63-amg-estate/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/c63amgwagon_1280_002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mercedes-benz-c-63-amg-estate/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/c63amgwagon_1280_003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mercedes-benz-c-63-amg-estate/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/c63amgwagon_1280_004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/mercedes-benz-c-63-amg-estate/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/c63amgwagon_1280_005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/03/frankfurt-preview-mercedes-benz-c63-amg-estate-hauls-ass-and/">Frankfurt Preview: Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate hauls ass...and your stuff!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 03 Sep 2007 11:55:00 EST. This batch of photos reveals almost the entire car except for the rear, where plastic obscures the details. Mercedes engineers even seem to have cooperated with the photographer, parking a C-Class sedan next to the Estate for comparison. As you might expect, the Estate looks much like the sedan with the addition of a rear hatch and luggage rack.<br /><br />As we reported <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/30/spy-video-mercedes-benz-c-class-estate/">before</a>, the C-Class Estate isn't currently sold in the U.S., and the 2008 model isn't likely to be either. We sure would like to see it available in the States, especially with its choice of three diesel engines. <br /><br />[Source: World Car Fans]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/18/spy-shot-2008-c-class-estate/">Spy Shot: 2008 C-Class Estate</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 18 Jun 2007 10:06:00 EST.
