Those words came from Tom Henderson with GM communications.

Buzz that GM would step past the typical product placement role and into full-blown financial support of a film hit the wires late Tuesday evening. A report from New York Magazine indicated that Guy Ritchie may be helming the project with Brad Pitt serving as the lead talent. Of course, that same report also mentioned Ben Stiller as a possible star as well. Those sound like two very, very different movies.

While we're fine with a remake of Cannonball Run, we're a little apprehensive about what could amount to a two-hour long advertisement for GM metal. No one likes watching a movie where every main vehicle is from one brand or another, especially when the film specifically focuses on an illicit race. Who wants to see a Spark square off against an Equinox?
GM denies rumors of bankrolling Cannonball Run redux originally appeared on Autoblog on Wed, 19 Oct 2011 16:27:00 EST.
It looks like even Hollywood Superstars are not immune to the lure of well-crafted American Iron. The paparazzi recently caught Brad Pitt out for a cruise aboard the one-off steed pictured above. Mr Pitt is no stranger to the health benefits of a good right-wrist exercise regiment - he's been spotted cruising the left coast on several different cycles, including a full range of Ducatis as well as customs from Confederate.

So what exactly is Brad's latest mount? If you notice the matching 21-inch Roland Sands Design wheels front and rear, this setup has become a trademark of designer Jesse Rooke. The California-based custom builder has been churning out some truly unique creations since his debut in 2002, as well as lending his designs to other manufactures like Swift Motorcycles.

One look at a Rooke Ride and it becomes apparent that his inspirations come from far beyond the traditional boundaries of an ever-struggling custom scene. This goes to show that cool is cool, no matter what package it's served in. Now, if we could just get a leg over one of "the other Jesse's" bikes in the near future... We hear they really do carve. Imagine that, a custom that corners. Who says choppers are dead?
Following earlier reports that Brad Pitt was set to reprise the legendary Steve McQueen's role in the timeless classic film Bullitt, new reports have now emerged saying that Pitt has been contracted to play the beloved actor/racer in an upcoming biographical film of McQueen's life.

The as-yet-untitled McQueen biopic is reportedly being produced by Michael Cerenzie and Christine Peters (who are currently collaborating on the upcoming film Art of the Devil), and the film is reportedly set to begin production next year. You'll remember they went pretty quickly, and no one was really sure what the criteria was for getting one.

Well, now we know. Apparently your chances for being chosen to participate in the experiment were greatly improved if you were an internationally-known, Hollywood movie star with several million in the bank. <strike>Being married to</strike> Living with Angelina Jolie doesn't hurt either. That narrows down the pool tremendously, and one name that apparently stood out on the list was Brad Pitt.

Autoblog Green says Pitt was spotted at Tuesday's "Ocean's 13" premiere in Hollywood driving a BMW Hydrogen 7, which could've increased the car's profile with the movie-star-loving public, though likely didn't considering its most identifying mark is a "Hydrogen" badge on the trunk. Members of the Brad Pitt Fan Club likely saw him exit a BMW 7-Series and thought nothing of it. But hey, at the end of the day he's still Brad Pitt, so all is right in the world.

[Source: Autoblog Green]
Wonder who's driving those hydrogen BMWs?

Forbes' automotive listmeister Nate Chapnick has been at it again. This time, he's chronicled the top 10vehicles in 2005's highest-grossing movies. Automobiles enjoyed a good year in Hollywood, from buxom Jessica Simpson'scavorting around in a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in the Dukes Of Hazzard redux; to the his-and-hers Cadillac CTS-Vand Mercedes-Benz C320 Wagon featured in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. But it wasn't all about more spirited iron...<strike>Katie Holmes</strike> Tom Cruise helped save the earth with a little help from a workaday Plymouth Voyager inWar of the Worlds, and Steve Carell's 40 Year Old Virgin had audiencesdoubled-over with that drunken PT Cruiser-driving barfly.

Chapnick and Co. must've popped more than a few bowls of popcorn, as in order to compile the list, it was deemednecessary to screen the 25 top-grossing U.S. films of last year to see which "most effectively integrated thevehicles into the storyline."
