Chrysler looking to new materials to boost fuel economy, safety

Chrysler engineering model using new high-strength steel Using a new line of high strength steels, Chrysler says it can simultaneously achieve better safety and improved fuel economy. This new high-strength steel allows vehicles to be made lighter and therefore more fuel-efficient, without losing any strength for safety.
