<br />
It's best to aim high, right? While most of the automotive world (<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/16/2010-suzuki-kizashi-first-drive/">ourselves included</a>) are busy comparing the rather wonderful <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/kizashi">Suzuki </a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/kizashi">Kizashi</a> with logical competitors like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/jetta">Volkswagen Jetta</a> - not to mention larger cars like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/accord">Honda Accord</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/mazda6">Mazda6</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/fusion">Ford Fusion</a> - it seems the Japanese automaker itself has its sights set a bit higher... all the way up to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/a4">Audi A4</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/tsx">Acura TSX</a>, point of fact.<br />
<br />
Called the "Kizashi Test Drive Challenge" incentive program, Suzuki is offering sport sedan buyers $100 if they test drive the Kizashi first and still end up purchasing either a 2010 Audi A4 2.0T or four-cylinder 2010 Acura TSX within 10 days of the test drive. The program ends runs through January 31, 2010. Says Koichi Suzuki, executive vice president of American Suzuki Automotive Operations: <br />
<blockquote>
<div><em>With styling, performance characteristics, luxury features and a new advanced All-Wheel-Drive system on par with the Audi A4 and Acura TSX, we're excited to extend this unique offer to consumers across the country, providing potential sport sedan buyers another reason to consider the all-new Kizashi-at a substantial savings. We're definitely putting Kizashi's premium without the premium moniker to the test.</em></div>
</blockquote>Like we said, aim high. Read the full set of terms and conditions in the complete press release pasted after the jump.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>2010 Audi S4 - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em></div>
<br />
We'll just come right out and say it: Audi lost the plot with the last generation S4. Unlike the twin-turbocharged V6-equipped B5, its B6 and B7 brethren did little to stoke the flames in our collective hearts. The "S" simply stood for, "I paid more for a bigger engine and some additional trim." Needless to say, that sort of behavior doesn't cut it when you're battling it out with one of the most competent sports sedan of the last decade: the BMW 335i. <br />
<br />
So with the all-new A4 (B8) comes the 2010 Audi S4 - the most credible contender to BMW's hugely competent middle child. This time, Audi brings back the boost. And it's about damn time...<br />

<br />
The 3.0-liter, 240-hp diesel that first served in the Audi Q7 has been assigned to duty in the Audi A4. We drove the 3.0 in the Q7 during last year's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/AudiMileageMarathon/">Audi Mileage Marathon</a>, and both mileage and power didn't disappoint. Put into the A4, the oil burner with 369 lb-ft should shine like Alpha Centauri.<br />
<br />
Audi says it will get you to sixty in 6.2 seconds with the six-speed Tiptronic and return 35 mpg at the same time as it already meets the Euro 6 standards coming in 2014. It's unlikely we'll get the treat in this corner of the Western Hemisphere, but that doesn't mean we won't keep looking out for it... especially as an Avant... with those wheels...<br />

The government, dealers and consumers don't seem to know exactly what's going on with the C.A.R.S. (Cash for Clunkers) program, but Audi doesn't want to lose any momentum and has decided it's the right time to "enhance the deal even further." <br />
<br />
From now until the end of August, if you want to swap your clunker for one of 18 eligible Audis, the Ingostadt marque will give you another $1,000 on top of the C.A.R.S. rebate. According to Audi, the allowable models include iterations of the A3, A4, TT, and Q5 from 2008 and 2009. However, there aren't any approved 2010 models, but if you've been thinking about something with four rings on it, August could be your month. <br />When Audi announced it would <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/23/audi-to-offer-turbod-2-0-liter-on-a5-this-summer/">begin offering the A5 with its turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four for the 2010 model year</a>, we expected the manual-equipped entry-level model to be priced significantly lower than the current 3.2-liter, stick-shifted A5. Thankfully, Audi didn't disappoint. For $36,000* you'll be able to get behind the wheel of the A5 2.0T Quattro Coupe with a manual transmission in Premium trim, with the Premium Plus model commanding $39,500 and the Prestige variant priced at $44,300. Tack on an additional $1,200 onto each model's MSRP if you opt for the Tiptronic automatic gearbox.<br /><br />Depending on the trim, the 2010 Audi A4 2.0T is priced slightly higher, lower or the same as their corresponding 2009 models, although all new A4s include LED tail-lamps on Premium Plus and Prestige models. The 2010 Q5 3.2 FSI starts at $37,350* and can be had with all-new 20-inch five-spoke wheels, a choice of Fine Grain Ash or Natural Brown interior inlays and a new Luxury Package for the Prestige model that includes leather door armrests and IP, along with ventilated front seats swathed in Milano leather. <br /><br />Although Audi hasn't priced the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/2010AudiS4/">2010 Audi S4</a>, it has released an on-sale date for its 333-hp sedan: August. Expect pricing to follow in the coming weeks.<br /><br />Make the jump for all the details and corresponding changes for the 2010 model year.<br /><br /><em><small>* Excludes $825 destination charge</small></em><br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a5-1/low/">2009 Audi A5</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a5-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/01-09-audi-a5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a5-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/02-09-audi-a5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a5-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/03-09-audi-a5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a5-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/04-09-audi-a5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a5-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/05-09-audi-a5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Audi]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/17/2010-audi-a4-a5-and-q5-priced-a5-2-0t-starting-at-36-000/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>2010 Audi A4, A5 and Q5 priced, A5 2.0T starting at $36,000*</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/17/2010-audi-a4-a5-and-q5-priced-a5-2-0t-starting-at-36-000/">2010 Audi A4, A5 and Q5 priced, A5 2.0T starting at $36,000*</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 17 Jul 2009 19:33:00 EST. <br />Like nearly every other automotive outlet on the planet, we've become increasingly enamored with Audi's recent product portfolio. From the A3 to the S8, the Q7 to the R8, with all the accolades Audi's received you'd think the crew from Ingolstadt simultaneously cured cancer, rid the world of nuclear weapons and deflected a meteor destined to bring about the next ice-age. <br /><br />But as the praise flowed, Audi's volume model - the A4 - grew tusks that would rival a walrus. The original A4 (B5) debuted when Boys II Men was near the top of the charts and its duo of follow-ups (the Audi B6 and B7, not the trio from Philly) were more technical reworks than thorough overhauls. But a funny thing happened in the process. As the sheet-metal evolved and the interior became a benchmark, underneath, the A4 turned into a credible sports sedan. With the engine migrating closer to the firewall, the all-wheel drive system nearing perfection and the available drivetrains offering a combination of tractability and fuel efficiency, the A4 could be all things to all people - enthusiasts included. So when developing the "all-new" A4, Audi knew it had to hit every note in pitch-perfect harmony. Our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/06/first-drive-2008-audi-a4-on-the-autobahn-and-in-ibiza/">First Drive</a> proved that many of the A4's foibles had been left in the past, but until we lived with one for a week, the jury was still sequestered in a hotel, living off an $11 per diem. Now, deliberations are over and we're prepared to deem the 2009 Audi A4 one of the best sports sedans on the market. In fact, the A4 is so good, it's almost boring. Almost...<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/low/">Review: 2009 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/01-review-2009-audi-32-a4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/02-review-2009-audi-32-a4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/03-review-2009-audi-32-a4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/04-review-2009-audi-32-a4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/05-review-2009-audi-32-a4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos copyright (C)2009 <a href="http://bradthephotog.com/">Brad Wood</a> / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/08/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro-too-good-for-its-own-good/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro, too good for its own good</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/08/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro-too-good-for-its-own-good/">Review: 2009 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro, too good for its own good</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 08 May 2009 11:58:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>2009 Audi A4 - Click above for a high-res gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Since the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/2009AudiA4/">2009 Audi A4</a>'s introduction last year, the number of sedans rolling off dealer lots equipped with the company's turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four versus the 3.2-liter V6 has been nine-to-one. With almost 90% of all A4s equipped with the peppy, fuel-efficient and thoroughly entertaining four-pot, Audi has decided to cease offering the V6 on the A4 - along with the A3 and TT - for the 2010 model year.<br /><br />"We're not backing away from the V6 strategy," Audi's U.S. Corporate Communications head, Bradley Stertz told Autoblog, "We're recalibrating our mix." <br /><br />According to Stertz, Audi's rejiggered engine strategy has less to do with the slow-sales of the V6 and more to do with the brand's expanding lineup. With Audi's new supercharged V6 making its way to the States in the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/2009+audi+s4/">new S4</a>, along with the introduction of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/Audi+TTS/">TT S</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/11/detroit-2009-audi-confirms-a3-tdi-for-us-launch-in-late-2009/">A3 TDI</a>, the 3.2-liter's standing in the engine hierarchy was lessened. And with the 2.0-liter mill delivering the best bang-for-the-buck - not to mention placing Audi in the enviable position of being the only German luxury marque offering a four-cylinder in the U.S. - the automaker's new tactic should continue to pay-off on the sales front.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/">New Audi A4</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002927_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002928_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002929_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002930_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002931_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/22/audi-dropping-3-2-liter-v6-from-2010-a3-a4-and-tt/">Audi dropping 3.2-liter V6 from 2010 A3, A4 and TT</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 22 Apr 2009 14:28:00 EST. <div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>Click above for a high-res gallery of the 2010 Audi A4 Allroad</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Audi has rolled out its new 2010 Audi A4 Allroad here at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a>, and while the turbocharged stiltswagon wasn't originally expected to reach U.S. dealerships, <a href="http://www.autonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090304/ANA02/903039899/1164">word coming out of the show</a> from <span style="font-style: italic;">Automotive News</span> is that this is under discussion. As you may recall, Audi's very first Allroad, the A6-based softroader, was sold from 2000 to 2005 in the U.S, but the second-generation range (currently on sale in Europe) never made it to America because of the initial model's slow sales. <br /><br />The flared-fender A4 Allroad goes on sale in Europe as you read this (base price: 37,100 Euros - about $46,700 USD), carrying under its hood a 211-horsepower, 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder or one of two TDI diesels - either a 2.0-liter (170 hp) or a 3.0-liter (240 hp). Presumably, if America gets the A4 Allroad at all, it will receive the gas engine variant only where it would match up as a premium-price alternative to the Subaru Outback and forthcoming <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-2010-saab-9-3x-ideal-wagon-for-lingonberry-picking/">Saab 9-3X</a>. Of course, Audi may decide to once again import the A6-based Allroad instead - or pass on both altogether, so stay tuned. Audi has now reported that it broke through the 1 million unit mark last year, selling more vehicles than it ever has before. <br /><br />Total global sales in 2008 came to 1,003,400 vehicles - up 4.3% over last year - including 82,000 units in December. But while the American market has typically been a vital region for European premium marques especially, U.S. sales dropped 6.1% for Audi this year, and nearly 10% in December when U.S. sales accounted for less than 10% of the company's global sales. Ingolstadt attributes its sales success to the dozen new models it introduced last year, including the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/21/la-2008-2009-audi-q5-makes-its-north-american-debut/">Q5</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/06/first-drive-2008-audi-a4-on-the-autobahn-and-in-ibiza/">A4</a> (seen above). <em>Thanks to everyone who sent in the tip, and check out the press release after the jump.<br /></em><br />[Source: Audi]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/09/one-million-audi-fans-cant-be-wrong/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>One million Audi fans can't be wrong</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/09/one-million-audi-fans-cant-be-wrong/">One million Audi fans can't be wrong</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 09 Jan 2009 10:59:00 EST. <br />Audi is expanding its A4 line-up to include two new option levels on its entry-level sedan; one equipped with FrontTrak (read: front-wheel-drive) and another that finally offers a six-speed manual on the base quattro-equipped A4.<br /><br />The 2009 Audi A4 2.0T FrontTrak mates a CVT to the 2.0T inline four, returning an EPA rating of 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. The six-speed manual quattro A4 achieves the same highway rating, but loses one mpg around town. Pricing for the FrontTrak model starts at $31,000, while the six-speed, AWD-equipped variant comes in at $31,850. Both models benefit from a host of standard equipment, including leather seating, sunroof and SIRIUS satellite radio.<em> Make the jump for all the details.</em><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/">New Audi A4</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002927_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002928_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002929_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002930_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002931_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/19/audi-expands-a4-lineup-with-new-fronttrak-model-six-speed-manua/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Audi expands A4 lineup with new FrontTrak model, six-speed manual on quattro</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/19/audi-expands-a4-lineup-with-new-fronttrak-model-six-speed-manua/">Audi expands A4 lineup with new FrontTrak model, six-speed manual on quattro</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 19 Dec 2008 14:33:00 EST. Estimated to cost $973.5 million, the 1,359 acre plant is large enough to handle the domestic production for VW, Audi, and even shareholder Porsche... although the proud automaker from Stuttgart vehemently denies even considering it. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/">New Audi A4</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002927_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002928_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002929_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002930_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/new-audi-a4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/au002931_l_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/beijing-0-and-8-20_-and-and09-au-di-q-5/low/">Beijing '08: 2009 Audi Q5</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/beijing-0-and-8-20_-and-and09-au-di-q-5/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/04/q5h_medium_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/beijing-0-and-8-20_-and-and09-au-di-q-5/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/04/q5g_medium_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/beijing-0-and-8-20_-and-and09-au-di-q-5/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/04/q5f_medium_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/beijing-0-and-8-20_-and-and09-au-di-q-5/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/04/q5e_medium_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/beijing-0-and-8-20_-and-and09-au-di-q-5/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/04/q5d_medium_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.autonews.com/article/20080728/ANE02/345631394/1177/rss02&amp;rssfeed=rss02">Automotive News</a> - Sub. But what we like even more than that is good automotive sense and a great driving experience. And if we're honest with ourselves, we can admit that those don't always require a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/05/officially-official-audi-rs6-avant/">580-hp V10</a>. <br /><br />Audi appears to feel the same way when it comes to the next S4. For the next generation model due in 2010, Audi doesn't plan to boost the output of the current model's V8. Instead, a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/24/report-2010-audi-s4-to-get-supercharged-v6/">supercharged 3.0-liter V6</a> is supposed to be pulling this mule caught lapping the 'Ring in Germany.<br /><br />Autocar's sources say that Audi wants the next car to be lighter and get better gas mileage, <em>and</em> be able to compete with the BMW 335i. A more frugal car that can still do the business when asked and has better handling thanks to its lighter weight represents the kind of goal we can really get behind. To keep the S4 distinct from the next RS4 due in 2011, the top shelf super sedan is expected to keep its V8 lump.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle.aspx?AR=232512">Autocar</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/30/spy-shots-supercharged-audi-s4-caught-testing/">Spy Shots: Supercharged Audi S4 caught testing</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 30 Apr 2008 11:28:00 EST. As discussed previously, the new estate gets an extra five inches tacked onto its back end to produce a total of 50-cubic feet of storage in the boot. At this point, Audi will only be offering those of us in the States the 2.0-liter TFSI, whereas sedan buyers can opt for the larger 3.2-liter V6. Disappointing as that may be, Audi was able to shave off ten-percent of the weight on this model when compared to the outgoing version.<br /><br />Check our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/19/2009-audi-a4-avant-revealed-ahead-of-geneva/">original post</a> for all of the details and see the gallery below for 29 images of Audi's new A4 Avant.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a4-avant/low/">2009 Audi A4 Avant</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a4-avant/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/09_audi_a4_avant_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a4-avant/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/09_audi_a4_avant_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a4-avant/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/09_audi_a4_avant_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a4-avant/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/09_audi_a4_avant_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-audi-a4-avant/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/09_audi_a4_avant_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/20/pics-aplenty-2009-audi-a4-avant/">Pics aplenty: 2009 Audi A4 Avant</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 20 Feb 2008 20:03:00 EST. The specialness comes from an extra equipment package that adds value via standard 17" Y-Spoke wheels and, on quattro-equipped models, standard heated leather seats. The Special Editions come with one year of free SIRIUS satellite radio and are powered by the sprightly 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder. Naturally, Audi will happily let you pad the bottom line on the A4 SE's sticker price by further enhancing it with any currently-available A4 options and/or packages (S-Line, etc.). Look for the A4 Special Edition in sedan and Avant bodystyles to arrive at your local Audi dealers by the middle of next month. <br /><br />[Source: Audi]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-a4-special-edition/low/">2008 Audi A4 Special Edition</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-a4-special-edition/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0000a4_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-a4-special-edition/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0001a4_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-a4-special-edition/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0002a4_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-a4-special-edition/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0003a4_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-a4-special-edition/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/0004a4_chi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/06/chicago-2008-audi-a4-special-edition/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Chicago 2008: Audi A4 Special Edition</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/06/chicago-2008-audi-a4-special-edition/">Chicago 2008: Audi A4 Special Edition</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 06 Feb 2008 13:22:00 EST. Unfortunately, we only had drab-looking photos back then, and frankly, the dark backgrounds didn't do much to liven up the looks of the cars. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as4/616625/"><img width="250" vspace="4" hspace="4" height="180" border="1" align="right" alt="Abt AS4" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas4new_02vlo.jpg" /></a>Since then, Abt has seen fit to produce complete photo sets that show off the company's modifications far better than the earlier images. The available mods are <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/02/roundup-abt-sportsline-at-the-essen-motor-show/">spelled out here</a>, but in both cases, Abt can transform the A4 or A5 with a subtle body kit (especially when compared to some other tuners), new wheels, a sport suspension, a freer-flowing exhaust system, and a variety of power upgrades. In a perfect world where we could have the Euro-spec diesels, we'd happily opt for the Abt-tuned 3.0 TDI. In both cars, it packs 300 horsepower and a stout 442 lb-ft of torque. Yeah, we could get around just fine with that. Check out the new photos in the galleries below. <br /><br />[Source: Abt Sportsline]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as4/low/">Abt AS4</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas4new_00_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas4new_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas4new_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas4new_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas4new_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as5-2/low/">Abt AS5</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as5-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas5new_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as5-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas5new_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as5-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas5new_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as5-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas5new_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/abt-as5-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/abtas5new_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/31/pics-aplenty-abt-as4-and-as5/">Pics Aplenty: Abt AS4 and AS5</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 31 Jan 2008 19:56:00 EST. <p> </p>
<p>The Outback treatment of the new Impreza may not be a best seller, but if emerging reports are to be believed, Audi thinks it can do a better mini-me impression by applying the Allroad concept - its take on the Outback theme - to the smaller A4. </p>
<p>Currently the Audi Allroad is based on the mid-range A6 Avant Quattro wagon, with an off-road suspension and contrasting body-cladding. Like the Outback and the XC70 version of Volvo's V70 wagon, the Allroad offers sport-ute appeal and functionality with better driving dynamics and less weight to schlep around. </p>
<p>A beefed-up A4 Avant Quattro could provide an attractive alternative to the emerging field of compact SUVs like the BMW X3 and Acura RDX ,as well as upcoming models like the Mercedes GLK, Infiniti EX and even Audi's own Q5. Then again, maybe poaching its own sales wouldn't be that great an idea.</p>

The German word for sport is, uh, sport, and the S-line bits can appease S4 aspirants without the heavy outlay for the &uuml;ber-performing version of the A4. Inside Line has been assured by Audi USA's Christian Bokich that they "won't hold back on the cool stuff from Germany," meaning you won't have to hunt down esoteric Euro part numbers for the bits you really want; nor will you have to go at your Audi with hand tools to get something a little special. <br /><br />For about $3,000, European buyers will get a lowered suspension by Quattro GmbH, 18-inch cast aluminum wheels, sport seats, special perforated Alcantara and leather, and different accents for the leather wrapped sport steering wheel. While the interior execution will be Audi sumptuous, it certainly won't make the car any sportier or faster. The bolsters on the sport seats are likely to be more snug-fitting, but what it sounds like, the main value is in the Quattro GmbH suspension which would probably be hard to duplicate for a mere $3K aftermarket. The extra finery is de rigeur in this segment, lest you forget you're driving an uprated car. <br /><br />[Source: Inside Line]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/13/cool-stuff-from-audi-coming-to-the-u-s/">"Cool Stuff" from Audi coming to the U.S.</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 13 Dec 2007 07:33:00 EST. One of our intrepid readers, Kevin, sent us a few scans of the QQ's latest issue, where it outlines Audi's product plans for the next five years. While some of it has already been confirmed, other interesting factoids, including the future of the R8, RS-TT and the development of an R4, have long been rumored on these very pages. Follow the jump for the full breakdown on what Audi has in store, but be aware that we're handing out grains of salt below the fold.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/04/i-quattro-quarterly-i-lays-out-audis-five-year-plan-for-worl/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em><i>Quattro Quarterly</i> lays out Audi's five-year plan for world domination</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/04/i-quattro-quarterly-i-lays-out-audis-five-year-plan-for-worl/"><i>Quattro Quarterly</i> lays out Audi's five-year plan for world domination</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 04 Dec 2007 10:02:00 EST.
