And so, the new, top-secret Volvo S60R should kick a lot of BMW ass. Okay, we kid. Obviously. Those numbers go with the FH16 700 and yes, as you can see, it's a semi - the world's most powerful, according to Volvo Trucks. It replaces the FH16 660 as the company's range-topping long-haul model, and at the heart of the matter is the D16G engine. In addition to the 700 horsepower variety, this 16-liter six-cylinder diesel also comes in 600 hp and 540 hp flavors. Volvo says it's quieter and more efficient than its predecessor, as well as being clean enough to meet the Euro 5 emissions standards that are scheduled to take effect later this year. Three cab styles are offered, each of which can be rather nicely appointed from the looks of things. So, if you have the need to, say, move EuroDisney from Paris to Geneva, load up a few of these bad boys and you ought to be good to go. The Ford GT500 is now the Blue Oval's halo sports car since the GT has driven off into the sunset. It's also the least expensive way to put 500 horsepower from the factory in your garage. Since you saved all that money going for the GT500 instead of the Porsche, Ferrari, or Chevy Corvette Z06, you should have some cash left over for aftermarket performance mods to push the GT500 even further into supercar territory. ROUSH has just announced a new ROUSHcharger (read: supercharger) for the GT500 that's capable of taking the GT500's 5.4-liter V8 all the way up to 700 horsepower with the right combination of mods. There are three stages of upgrades ROUSH has made available, the first and most benign is a cold air kit with a new ECU calibration that nets 45 horsepower. Next up is the addition of the 2.3-liter blower that's factory friendly and adds 120 horsepower and 88 ft-lbs. of torque. The Stage 3 kit will break the factory warranty and is intended for off-road or track use only, and includes modifications the owner must purchase separately like a 72mm or 76mm pulley and new calibration if he or she is really going after that magic 700 HP mark. ROUSH should have all the parts available for the GT500 by the end of the year, at which time the aftermarket Ford tuner will release pricing, as well.
