Cobo Hall

The 2013 Detroit Auto Show is shaping up to be a good one. Automakers that had eschewed the show in the past are returning, and this year's show will see manufacturers like Jaguar, Land Rover, Maserati as well as Ferrari show off their wares for our viewing pleasure.

Chinese automakers have snapped up floor space in Cobo Hall, with Guangzhou Automobile Group Corporation planning to debut an all-new model. The hall itself will also show off a few changes, including a new three-story atrium that will play host to some of the event's larger debuts. The Detroit News also reports that manufacturers are making some substantial changes to their own booths.

For example, Cadillac vehicles will be displayed separate from the rest of the General Motors brands this year. Visitors can now find the luxury manufacturer near Volvo, Ferrari and Porsche. Meanwhile, Ford plans to use period actors and classic vehicles to draw links to some of the more illustrious moments in the company's past, and Toyota will make make use of a portion of Cobo Hall's 30,000 square-feet of additional show space.

Naturally, we'll be on the scene in Cobo, so come back in about a month to see the best Detroit has to offer in 2013.
