102Crossover 'coupes' selling diddly-squat

The 1980s will be remembered for the liftback coupe, a bodystyle that, aside from the Nissan 370Z and a few other isolated cases, is mostly nonexistent today. In all likelihood, the late 2000s and early 2010s will be remembered in 20 years time by a spate of bizarre lifted four-door 'coupes' that popped onto the market.

16BMW offers X6 Performance Edition and 6 Series in Frozen Silver

BMW has been pretty busy with cars wearing a "6" this year following the rollouts of the new 6 Series Gran Coupe and, more recently, the high-performance M6. Now the automaker is getting ready to introduce two low-volume variants of the 6 Series Coupe and the X6 crossover. And with good reason – BMW says it has sold over 20,000 X6 crossovers in the States since its launch three years ago and over 150,000 worldwide, making it an important model for the German automaker.

21BMW X6 facelift comes into focus

BMW launched its mind-boggling X6 in 2008, but aside from the addition of a high-powered M variant and a battery-laden hybrid (the latter of which has reportedly been killed), not much has been done to the high-riding, not-so-practical crossover. Even now, with the X6's refresh coming into clearer view, it doesn't appear that BMW will be making drastic changes to its most expensive CUV.
