It's not a continuation of the piece-by-piece unveiling that started the other day, but a member over at Mustang Forums managed to take a wealth of pics showing a heavily-covered 2010 Mustang mule out and about on the streets. Considering Ford has placed stickers on the windshields of these mules directing passers-by to check out the official 2010 Mustang teaser site, it's obvious that the Blue Oval wants this car to be seen. We'll bite. We've gathered together five shots and the rest of them can be seen here. There are some details that look fairly clear beneath what may be the world's best auto camo. Take special note of the front lights, which are a bit reminiscent of the vents from the '70 Boss 'Stang along with the quad light setup from the '69. All of these various cues make us keenly interested to see the real thing in, oh... seventy-five days or so.
Ford gave us a hint what changes we would be seeing on the 2010 Mustang by releasing images of its new edgy pony emblem yesterday, but a three-inch badge leaves a lot of room for speculation. We want to see more of the real deal. A member of MustangForums.com might have just the thing with what appears to be a photo of the 2010 Mustang hood. At first we had doubts that such an aggressive design would make it to production, but after taking a look at the spy photos, it looks like at least one of the test mules has a cowl hood lurking beneath all that camouflage. We'll be on the look out for more photos of the 2010 Mustang, and hopefully we'll have the whole car pieced together by the time the LA Auto Show rolls around!

The countdown to the 2010 Ford Mustang debut has begun, and it looks like Ford can't wait to show us what the car looks like just as much as we can't wait to see it. Today it released an image of the new 2010 Mustang badge, hinting that its edgier design gives clues as to what the rest of the car will look like. Ford says its designers spent hours researching photographs of horses to give the new Mustang logo a more realistic feel, and we think it paid off. The new pony looks more defined and muscular, and it even got a cool new haircut! We've been anxiously waiting to see what direction Ford will take the retro design of the new Mustang, and if the logo is anything to go by then we shouldn't be worried. Let us know what you think about the new design with your comments and vote for which you like most in the poll below.

Hot on the heels of our own reader-submitted spy shots of the 2010 Ford Mustang comes this new batch of images taken by professionals. Here we see for the first time the next Mustang's redesigned interior, and while it doesn't appear that the instrument panel and dash will stray too far from the current car's design, there are many notable differences. First and foremost is the new three-spoke steering wheel with redundant controls for cruise control on the left and multimedia buttons, no doubt designed to help operate Ford's SYNC system, on the right. Spy photographers also noticed that while the gauges look the same as those in the current Mustang, they are now white-faced and the speedometer and tachometer have switched places. We can also make out new rectangular vents sitting atop the center stack, though a familiar round vent remains to the left of the steering wheel. The basic shape of the center stack appears to be tweaked somehow, but we can't say for sure what the switchgear for the stereo and HVAC controls will look like since they were well covered in this prototype. Also included in the gallery below are new shots of the 2010 Ford Mustang's front and rear with exposed views of the 1970-inspired headlamps as well as the updated taillights. We expect to see plenty more spy photos between now and the car's official introduction at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show.

Don't for a second believe that Ford is just going to roll over and hand over tens of thousands of Mustang sales to the upcoming Dodge Challenger and Chevy Camaro without a fight. We've been showing you spyshots of what Ford's got up its sleeves for weeks now, but this is the first time we have a shot of the next Mustang's interior. Unfortunately, Ford is just as concerned with keeping any interior upgrades a secret as it is shrouding the Mustang's new face. We've got a high-res pic of what Brenda Priddy's photographer could snap of the interior just the same, as well as new front and back shots of what we expect will be the 2010 Ford Mustang.
