And when we say 9 Mile, we mean the whole street. Ford's display is literally on the road and stretches for blocks and blocks east of Woodward. The heart of it is <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/980837/">Mustang Alley</a>, at the entrance of which are <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/980813/">three Ford GTs</a> of varying color and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/980809/">two racing Mustangs</a> turned on their sides so their undercarriages can be inspected up close. Enter Mustang Alley and you'll travel back in time as you stroll down the street. First are the late model pony cars followed by the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/980822/">'90s, '80s and older</a>. Here is where you can also find booths for <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/980791/">SVT</a>, Ford Racing, Shelby and ROUSH, as well. Ford only occupies about half a block on the other side of Woodward where a pair of 2009 Ford F-150s flank the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/980788/">Blue Thunder Monster truck</a>. Oh, and behind that is a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/980820/">motorized bull</a>, because nothing says "Ford" like a motorized bull.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/low/">Woodward 2008: Ford Booth Tour</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/000_fordcruise_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/001_fordcruise_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/002_fordcruise_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/053_fordcruise_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/054_fordcruise_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/16/woodward-2008-ford-booth-tour-at-9-mile/">Woodward 2008: Ford Booth Tour at 9 Mile</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sat, 16 Aug 2008 14:37:00 EST. Nevertheless, it has still (barely) managed to remain the largest automaker in the world. To celebrate this achievement, GM paraded its most iconic and classic cars from the last century on Woodward Ave. this morning. Chevrolet, Pontiac, Cadillac, Buick and the now defunct Oldsmobile brand were all represented. We lined ourselves up on Woodward Avenue and managed to get a shot of each car as it rolled by. Check out our gallery below and pick your a favorite, and we've got a list after the jump of each make and model that participated. If you'd like, you can also text a vote for your favorite car -- <a href="http://www.gmnext.com/Details/Events.aspx?id=ffca0e5a-37c2-4561-86fb-3fd1f342f168">click here</a> for all the details on how that's done. Our pick goes to car number 60, a yellow Camaro RS convertible from '69 -- the best looking year of all. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gm-century-cruise/low/">GM Century Cruise</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gm-century-cruise/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/110_gmcruise_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gm-century-cruise/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/111_gmcruise_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gm-century-cruise/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/112_gmcruise_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gm-century-cruise/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/113_gmcruise_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gm-century-cruise/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/114_gmcruise_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/16/woodward-2008-century-cruise-celebrates-100-years-of-gm/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Woodward 2008: Century Cruise celebrates 100 years of GM</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/16/woodward-2008-century-cruise-celebrates-100-years-of-gm/">Woodward 2008: Century Cruise celebrates 100 years of GM</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sat, 16 Aug 2008 11:16:00 EST. This year it's the limited edition Dream Cruiser Series 5 that will be available for purchase in the fall. The DCS 5 is actually more done up than past editions with Midnight White Pearl Coat paint that's topped by a Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl roof. Up front the standard grilles have been swapped out for aluminum mesh, and the 17-inch wheels have clearly been swiped from the SRT parts bin. Chrome trim and a pair of new "PT" badges on the driver and passenger front doors round out the exterior mods. The interior also gets done up with light-colored plastics, silver (plastic) trim and dash panels painted in the same glossy Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl as the roof. The seats are new and feature an interesting texture that Chrysler calls Embossed Momentum seat fabric. <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">If you were hoping for a hot rod, however, you'll be disappointed as the DCS 5 features the PT Cruiser's standard 150-hp 2.4L four-cylinder mated to a four-speed automatic</span>. The DSC 5 will be available with either a 2.4L four-cylinder producing 150 horsepower or a turbocharged version producing 180 hp. With that, we rate the PT Cruiser DCS 5 as one of Chrysler's better Woodward-inspired PT Cruisers. If you're down with the factory mods, you'll need to scrounge up at least $22,700 (plus $670 for destination) by this fall and get in line as only 1,750 units will be made.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chrysler-pt-cruiser-dream-cruiser-series-5/low/">Chrysler PT Cruiser Dream Cruiser Series 5</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chrysler-pt-cruiser-dream-cruiser-series-5/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/ch009_006pt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chrysler-pt-cruiser-dream-cruiser-series-5/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/ch009_007pt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chrysler-pt-cruiser-dream-cruiser-series-5/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/ch009_008pt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chrysler-pt-cruiser-dream-cruiser-series-5/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/ch009_009pt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chrysler-pt-cruiser-dream-cruiser-series-5/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/08/ch009_010pt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Chrysler]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/12/woodward-08-chrysler-gets-things-started-with-pt-cruiser-dream/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Woodward '08: Chrysler gets things started with PT Cruiser Dream Cruiser Series 5</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/12/woodward-08-chrysler-gets-things-started-with-pt-cruiser-dream/">Woodward '08: Chrysler gets things started with PT Cruiser Dream Cruiser Series 5</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 12 Aug 2008 10:29:00 EST.
