VIDEO: Veyron races BMW M3... guess who wins

The all-new, V8-powered BMW M3 is one hot ride, and 414 HP can leave a lot of rubber behind. Yet while the M3 is one of the most highly anticipated vehicles on the road, it doesn't even hold a candle to the quad-turbo, 16-cylinder, 1,001 HP Bugatti Veyron. The Veyron is a true supercar that costs a cool $1.4 million, hits 60 mph in less than three seconds, and has a limited production run of a few hundred copies. Regardless of the obvious disparity between the two cars, someone just had to pit the two against one another in a race and put the video on YouTube. The video starts with the M3 understeering through a corner and doing a series of figure eights, and it ends with the Bimmer taking its medicine. The driver of the Veyron even gave the poor sap in the M3 a head start, yet the margin of victory was wide. If you're like us and interested in seeing the carnage even when you know the outcome, check out the short video after the jump.

Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang sells out in less than 24 hours

The Bugatti Veyron may be limited to a run of only 300 lifetime units, but there is little doubt the 1001 HP supercar is the king of the automotive kingdom. To keep the $1.4 million rolling sculpture hotter than a cattle prod, Bugatti unveiled the Pur Sang at Frankfurt, with beautifully exposed carbon fiber and aluminum saving about 220 lbs. The Pur Sang is so exclusive, Bugatti only showed it once, and not even at the official Frankfurt show. With a production run of five, the Pur Sang promises to be among the most exclusive Veyrons ever, but none of us can have one, even if we had €1.4 million to blow on a supercar, because all five copies sold out in only 24 hours. It's amazing that VW won't make any money off their king of cars, it seems they can sell them as fast as they want, and at whatever price they please.

Autoblog Night Watch: Needell hints at Veyron 'vert, 5th Gear pegs Audi A5 vs. BMW 335i

We found a couple great Fifth Gear videos for you from the new season, so we decided to put both into one post. First (above), Vicky Butler-Henderson pits two of the hottest luxury sport coupes, the all-new Audi S5 and the BMW 335i. These two vehicles show just how far the sport coupe market has come in the past few years, and Vicky took both to the track to see which vehicle was quicker. The rear-drive Bimmer had it all over the S5 in the handling department while also weighing a few hundred pounds less, but the S5 used its over 50HP advantage courtesy of its brute-force V8 engine to even the score. Click play above to see who won the time trial by a minuscule .6 seconds.

Hit the jump to view the second Fifth Gear video, and see what could be a teaser of the Veyron cabrio.

Bugatti Veyrons invade Connecticut

Bugatti Veyron at Miller Motorcars, Greenwich, CT

Last week, Greenwich, CT motorists were joined on the roads by a particularly special guest: the mind-blowing Bugatti Veyron. Now, exotics in Greenwich are actually quite commonplace -- the area is very affluent and is home to several successful high-end dealerships.

Miller Motorcars sells Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, and Aston Martin in three showrooms all within a stone's throw of each other. For car lovers, the trip up West Putnam Avenue and past the Miller dealerships is similar to attending a car show -- a really, really good one, at that.

Two Veyrons had arrived at Miller Motorcars' Bentley / Rolls-Royce facility at the beginning of last week so that prospective customers could have an opportunity to inspect the cars up close. I grabbed my camera and drove out to Miller one afternoon instead of having lunch, figuring that this is one of the few opportunities I'd have to get a really good look at the car. I saw the prototype in 2004, but it was behind a glass wall at a show.

This was altogether different...
