Suzuki Spy Shots
Suzuki is the automotive division of Suzuki Motor Corporation based in Hamamatsu, Japan. Michio Suzuki founded the company in 1909 producing weaving looms, then explored producing a passenger car in 1937 before the onset of World War II. After the war, Suzuki began developing motorcycles and eventually cars with the introduction of the 1955 Suzulight. The company entered the U.S. market in 1985 with the Samarui and produced vehicles for other manufacturers under contract like the Chevrolet Sprint, a rebadged version of the Suzuki Cultus.

0Spy Shots: Americans, meet the next-gen Suzuki Swift you'll be driving 1264181460
Suzuki finally seems headed in the right direction: away from a lineup clogged with SUVs towards one chock full of fun-to-drive cars. The SX4 was a good start and the Kizashi, in our estimation, is a home run. But the brand that's big everywhere else in the world has one car after which we've always lusted, the Swift. You may remember the Swift from back ...

Spy Shots: 2011 Suzuki Swift... will we get it? 1249477140
We've been hearing for quite some time that the subcompact Suzuki Swift could possibly make it Stateside, and while we think it probably should have made the trip about four years ago when the latest generation was first introduced, we'd still accept another fun-to-drive little hatchback with open arms. With that in mind, it's with keen interest that we ...

Reader Spy: 2010 Suzuki Kizashi caught in Colorado 1244158080
Spy shots of the upcoming Suzuki Kizashi are becoming rather common as the mid-size sedan gets ready to launch later this year, but what we've yet to see – what we've needed to see – is a shot of what's inside. Thanks to Autoblog reader Curtis Lewis, we finally have our first glimpse of the Kizashi's interior, and we've got to say, it's ...

Suzuki won't debut Kizashi in New York, still on schedule for December launch 1238783340
An email recently went out from Suzuki to jurors who vote for the North American Car and Truck of the Year informing them that their upcoming midsize sedan would be on sale in the United States before the end of the year. We contacted Suzuki for more information and received confirmation that development of the car is on track and production will not be ...

Spy Shots: Suzuki SX4 getting facelift too 1230766140
Following in the footsteps of its European twin, the Fiat Sedici, Suzuki is slightly reworking its SX4 Crossover for next year. You'd be forgiven if you didn't notice - all of the revisions are quite subtle - but the whole front fascia has been slightly remodeled. The most obvious change is to the grille area, which now has a slightly smaller opening ...

Spy Shots: Suzuki Kizashi spied in Germany 1225227720
When the Suzuki Kizashi 3 concept bowed in New York, we were smitten by the sedan's aggressive lines and low-slung stance. But after seeing some rudimentary patent drawings of the production model, we were seriously concerned that everything we loved about Suzuki's new sedan would be lost in translation. Finally, some glimmer of hope has arrived.KGP ...

Spy Shots: Suzuki Equator 1220533080
A production Suzuki Equator has been snapped while hanging out in California, and the nose job looks successful. The Equator is virtually pure Nissan Frontier, besides the front sheetmetal, but that's not a bad thing. The Frontier is a handsome 2/3rds scale Titan, probably the most attractive of the "compact" pickups. Configurations will mirror the ...

Spy Shots: Suzuki Kizashi prowls the strip mall 1216735320
Suzuki has teased us with three separate Kizashi concept cars and finally told us that a production vehicle based on the last concept would be coming to America in 2010. Work is apparently underway on the new Camcord competitor, and proof of Suzuki's efforts have appeared in a Southern California parking lot. Although the entire car is covered in camo, a ...

Spy Shots: Production Suzuki A-Star spotted in India 1214256480
Although it is undoubtedly toned down a bit, Suzuki has been able to create what appears to be a nearly production-ready version of the A-Star concept it showed at the last New Delhi Motor Show just six months ago. The Indian release of the new car indicates just how important the emerging markets are to automakers, though the A-Star is likely to be ...

Autoblog Podcast #86 1201809780
Episode #86 of the Autoblog Podcast is well-caffeineated. We spend a good bit of time talking about the excitement that's filled the Autoblog garage lately. Damon used a handily available Audi R8 as a chase car when we went to drive the Tesla Roadster, and Alex has been sampling the Subaru Tribeca and STI, as well as a rogue Volvo S80. John has been having ...
