May 21st 2007 10:01AM I am a huge fan of "Wait Wait". I did make use of this opportunity. I was in the audience during this particular recording and I must say - Bob Lutz was a big hit even with the liberal Ann Arbor audience.
When he gave the Volt a plug (no pun intended), and mentioned the 40 mile battery range and 150+ mpg FE (if your travel was 60 miles a day), the crowd gave him a huge applause.

Gov't forgot to change Gas Guzzler tax {Autoblog}
Apr 18th 2007 6:13PM The guzzler tax is not based on the EPA Label Fuel Economy. Instead they are based on what they call an "Unadjusted combined MPG". This maybe why they havent changed the guzzler rules.

Spy Shots: Mercedes Benz MLK {Autoblog}

The MLK was supposed to be called the X-Class, but of course BMW would have complained (given the X3 & X5). So instead they chose the MLK - to indicate a smaller ML (CLK-CL, SLK-SL connotations).
